Josué 11

Cuando el rey Jabín de Jazor se enteró de lo ocurrido, envió mensajes urgentes a los siguientes reyes: Jobab rey de Madón; al rey de Simrón; al rey de Acsaf;

OYENDO esto Jabín rey de Hasor, envió mensaje á Jobab rey de Madón, y al rey de Simrom, y al rey de Achsaph,

And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,

a todos los reyes de la región montañosa del norte; a los reyes del Arabá al sur de Quinéret, a los de las llanuras, a los reyes de las zonas montañosas de Nafot Dor en el occidente, a los reyes de Canaán del oriente y

Y á los reyes que estaban á la parte del norte en las montañas, y en el llano al mediodía de Cinneroth, y en los llanos, y en las regiones de Dor al occidente;

And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west,

and to the kings who were on the north, in the hill country, in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west,

del occidente, a los reyes de los amorreos, de los hititas, de los ferezeos, de los jebuseos en las colinas, y de los heveos en las ciudades del monte Hermón en la tierra de Mizpa.

Y al Cananeo que estaba al oriente y al occidente, y al Amorrheo, y al Hetheo, y al Pherezeo, y al Jebuseo en las montañas, y al Heveo debajo de Hermón en tierra de Mizpa.

And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.

Todos estos reyes respondieron afirmativamente, movilizando sus ejércitos, y se unieron para aplastar a Israel. Los ejércitos, con sus caballos y carros abarcaban todo lo que se podía ver alrededor de las aguas de Merón.

Estos salieron, y con ellos todos sus ejércitos, pueblo mucho en gran manera, como la arena que está á la orilla del mar, con gran muchedumbre de caballos y carros.

And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.

Allí establecieron su campamento.

Todos estos reyes se juntaron, y viniendo reunieron los campos junto á las aguas de Merom, para pelear contra Israel.

And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.

El Señor le dijo a Josué: «No les tengas miedo, porque mañana a esta hora habrán muerto todos. Inutilizarás sus caballos y quemarás sus carros».

Mas Jehová dijo á Josué: No tengas temor de ellos, que mañana á esta hora yo entregaré á todos éstos, muertos delante de Israel: á sus caballos desjarretarás, y sus carros quemarás al fuego.

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.

The LORD said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

Josué y sus hombres de guerra llegaron repentinamente a las aguas de Merón y atacaron.

Y vino Josué, y con él todo el pueblo de guerra, contra ellos, y dió de repente sobre ellos junto á las aguas de Merom.

So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.

Y el Señor los entregó en manos de los israelitas, quienes los persiguieron hasta Sidón la grande y hasta un lugar llamado Misrefot Mayin (Minas de Sal) y hasta el valle de Mizpa al oriente. Ninguno de los enemigos sobrevivió a la batalla.

Y entrególos Jehová en manos de Israel, los cuales los hirieron y siguieron hasta Sidón la grande, y hasta las aguas calientes, y hasta el llano de Mizpa al oriente, hiriéndolos hasta que no les dejaron ninguno.

And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.

Josué y sus hombres hicieron como el Señor había ordenado: inutilizaron los caballos y quemaron todos los carros.

Y Josué hizo con ellos como Jehová le había mandado: desjarretó sus caballos, y sus carros quemó al fuego.

And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.

Joshua did to them as the LORD told him. He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

En el camino de regreso, Josué tomó a Jazor y mató a su rey —Jazor había sido en su tiempo la capital de la federación de todos estos reinos—.

Y tornándose Josué, tomó en el mismo tiempo á Hasor, é hirió á cuchillo á su rey: la cual Hasor había sido antes cabeza de todos estos reinos.

And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.

Los israelitas dieron muerte a toda persona e incendiaron la ciudad.

E hirieron á cuchillo todo cuanto en ella había vivo, destruyendo y no dejando cosa con vida; y á Asor pusieron á fuego.

And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.

Luego atacaron y destruyeron a las demás ciudades con sus reyes. Todos los habitantes fueron muertos de la manera que Moisés había ordenado mucho tiempo antes.

Asimismo tomó Josué todas las ciudades de aquestos reyes, y á todos los reyes de ellas, y los metió á cuchillo, y los destruyó, como Moisés siervo de Jehová lo había mandado.

And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.

Sin embargo, Josué no quemó las ciudades construidas sobre los montes, salvo Jazor.

Empero todas las ciudades que estaban en sus cabezos, no las quemó Israel, sacando á sola Asor, la cual quemó Josué.

But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn.

Todo el botín y el ganado de las ciudades arrasadas lo tomaron los israelitas para sí mismos, pero mataron a toda la gente.

Y los hijos de Israel tomaron para sí todos los despojos y bestias de aquestas ciudades: pero á todos los hombres metieron á cuchillo hasta destruirlos, sin dejar alguno con vida.

And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.

Así lo había ordenado el Señor a su siervo Moisés, y Moisés había pasado esta orden a Josué el cual hizo según se le había ordenado. Cuidadosamente obedeció todas las órdenes que el Señor le había dado a Moisés.

De la manera que Jehová lo había mandado á Moisés su siervo, así Moisés lo mandó á Josué: y así Josué lo hizo, sin quitar palabra de todo lo que Jehová había mandado á Moisés.

De modo que Josué conquistó toda la tierra: las montañas, el Néguev, la tierra de Gosén, las llanuras, el Arabá, y las montañas y las llanuras de Israel.

Tomó pues Josué toda aquella tierra, las montañas, y toda la región del mediodía, y toda la tierra de Gosén, y los bajos y los llanos, y la montaña de Israel y sus valles.

So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;

So Joshua captured all that land, the hill country, all the South, all the land of Goshen, the lowland, the Arabah, the hill country of Israel, and the lowland of the same,

El territorio israelita ahora se extendía desde el monte Jalac, cerca de Seír, hasta Baal Gad en el valle del Líbano, al pie del monte Hermón. Josué mató a todos los reyes que vivían en aquellos territorios.

Desde el monte de Halac, que sube hasta Seir, hasta Baal-gad en la llanura del Líbano, á las raíces del monte Hermón: tomó asimismo todos sus reyes, los cuales hirió y mató.

Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.

Tardó mucho tiempo en llevar a cabo todo esto.

Por muchos días tuvo guerra Josué con estos reyes.

Con ninguna de las ciudades hizo un pacto de paz, salvo con los heveos de Gabaón. Todos los demás fueron destruidos.

El Señor puso en los enemigos el deseo de pelear contra Israel en lugar de pedir la paz. Por eso los mataron sin misericordia, como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.

Porque esto vino de Jehová, que endurecía el corazón de ellos para que resistiesen con guerra á Israel, para destruirlos, y que no les fuese hecha misericordia, antes fuesen desarraigados, como Jehová lo había mandado á Moisés.

Durante este período Josué derrotó a todos los gigantes descendientes de Anac que vivían en las montañas de Hebrón, Debir, Anab, Judá e Israel. Los mató a todos y destruyó completamente sus ciudades.

También en el mismo tiempo vino Josué y destruyó los Anaceos de los montes, de Hebrón, de Debir, y de Anab, y de todos los montes de Judá, y de todos los montes de Israel: Josué los destruyó á ellos y á sus ciudades.

And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.

Ninguno quedó en la tierra de Israel, aunque algunos quedaron en Gaza, Gat y Asdod.

Josué, pues, tomó posesión de toda la tierra como Dios le había ordenado a Moisés. Se la entregó al pueblo de Israel como herencia, y la dividió entre las tribus. Finalmente la tierra reposó de todas las guerras.

Tomó, pues, Josué toda la tierra, conforme á todo lo que Jehová había dicho á Moisés; y entrególa Josué á los Israelitas por herencia, conforme á sus repartimientos de sus tribus: y la tierra reposó de guerra.

So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
