1Und das Los fiel für den Stamm der Kinder Juda, nach ihren Geschlechtern, nach der Grenze Edoms hin, der Wüste Zin, gegen Mittag, im äußersten Süden.
2Und ihre Südgrenze war vom Ende des Salzmeeres, von der Zunge, die sich gegen Süden wendet;
3und sie lief aus südwärts von der Anhöhe Akrabbim und ging hinüber nach Zin, und sie stieg hinauf südlich von Kades-Barnea und ging hinüber nach Hezron, und sie stieg hinauf nach Addar und wandte sich nach Karka,
4und sie ging hinüber nach Azmon und lief aus an dem Bache Ägyptens; und der Ausgang der Grenze war nach dem Meere hin. Das soll eure Südgrenze sein. -
5Und die Grenze gegen Osten war das Salzmeer bis an das Ende des Jordan. Und die Grenze an der Nordseite war von der Meereszunge an, vom Ende des Jordan;
6und die Grenze stieg hinauf nach Beth-Hogla und ging hinüber nördlich von Beth-Araba; und die Grenze stieg hinauf zum Steine Bohans, des Sohnes Rubens;
7und die Grenze stieg von dem Tale Achor hinauf nach Debir, und sie wandte sich nördlich nach Gilgal, welches der Anhöhe Adummim gegenüber liegt, die südlich von dem Bache ist; und die Grenze ging hinüber zum Wasser En-Semes, und ihr Ausgang war nach En-Rogel hin;
8und die Grenze stieg das Tal des Sohnes Hinnoms hinauf, nach der Südseite der Jebusiter, das ist Jerusalem; und die Grenze stieg zu dem Gipfel des Berges hinauf, welcher vor dem Tale Hinnom, gegen Westen, am Ende der Talebene der Rephaim, gegen Norden liegt;
9und die Grenze zog sich herum von dem Gipfel des Berges nach der Quelle des Wassers Nephtoach, und lief nach den Städten des Gebirges Ephron hin; und die Grenze zog sich herum nach Baala, das ist Kirjath-Jearim;
10und von Baala wandte sich die Grenze gegen Westen nach dem Gebirge Seir und ging hinüber nach der Nordseite des Berges Jearim, das ist Kesalon, und sie stieg hinab nach Beth-Semes und ging hinüber nach Timna;
11und die Grenze lief nach der Nordseite von Ekron hin; und die Grenze zog sich herum nach Schikkeron und ging hinüber nach dem Berge von Baala, und sie lief aus bei Jabneel; und der Ausgang der Grenze war nach dem Meere hin. -
12Und die Westgrenze war das große Meer und das Angrenzende. Das war die Grenze der Kinder Juda ringsum nach ihren Geschlechtern.
13Und Kaleb, dem Sohne Jephunnes, gab er ein Teil inmitten der Kinder Juda, nach dem Befehle Jehovas an Josua: Die Stadt Arbas, des Vaters Enaks, das ist Hebron.
14Und Kaleb trieb von dannen aus die drei Söhne Enaks, Scheschai und Achiman und Talmai, Kinder Enaks.
15Und von dannen zog er hinauf gegen die Bewohner von Debir; der Name von Debir war aber vordem Kirjath-Sepher.
16Und Kaleb sprach: Wer Kirjath-Sepher schlägt und es einnimmt, dem gebe ich meine Tochter Aksa zum Weibe.
17Da nahm es Othniel ein, der Sohn Kenas', ein Bruder Kalebs; und er gab ihm seine Tochter Aksa zum Weibe.
18Und es geschah, als sie einzog, da trieb sie ihn an, ein Feld von ihrem Vater zu fordern. Und sie sprang von dem Esel herab. Und Kaleb sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir?
19Und sie sprach: Gib mir einen Segen; denn ein Mittagsland hast du mir gegeben, so gib mir auch Wasserquellen! Da gab er ihr die oberen Quellen und die unteren Quellen.
20Das war das Erbteil des Stammes der Kinder Juda, nach ihren Geschlechtern.
21Und die Städte am Ende des Stammes der Kinder Juda, gegen die Grenze Edoms hin im Süden, waren: Kabzeel und Eder und Jagur,
22und Kina und Dimona und Adada,
23und Kedesch und Hazor und Jithnan;
24Siph und Telem und Bealoth,
25und Neu-Hazor und Kerijoth-Hezron, das ist Hazor;
26Amam und Schema und Molada,
27und Hazor-Gadda und Heschmon und Beth-Pelet,
28und Hazar-Schual und Beerseba und Bisjothja;
29Baala und Ijim und Ezem,
30und El-Tolad und Kesil und Horma,
31und Ziklag und Madmanna und Sansanna,
32und Lebaoth und Schilchim und Ajin und Rimmon: aller Städte waren neunundzwanzig und ihre Dörfer. -
33In der Niederung: Eschtaol und Zorha und Aschna,
34und Sanoach und En-Gannim, Tappuach und Enam,

2Y su término de la parte del mediodía fué desde la costa del mar Salado, desde la lengua que mira hacia el mediodía;
3Y salía hacia el mediodía á la subida de Acrabim, pasando hasta Zin; y subiendo por el mediodía hasta Cades-barnea, pasaba á Hebrón, y subiendo por Addar daba vuelta á Carca;
4De allí pasaba á Azmón, y salía al arroyo de Egipto; y sale este término al occidente. Este pues os será el término del mediodía.
5El término del oriente es el mar Salado hasta el fin del Jordán. Y el término de la parte del norte, desde la lengua del mar, desde el fin del Jordán:
6Y sube este término por Beth-hogla, y pasa del norte á Beth-araba, y de aquí sube este término á la piedra de Bohán, hijo de Rubén.
7Y torna á subir este término á Debir desde el valle de Achôr: y al norte mira sobre Gilgal, que está delante de la subida de Adumin, la cual está al mediodía del arroyo: y pasa este término á las aguas de En-semes, y sale á la fuente de Rogel:
8Y sube este término por el valle del hijo de Hinnom al lado del Jebuseo al mediodía: esta es Jerusalem. Luego sube este término por la cumbre del monte que está delante del valle de Hinnom hacia el occidente, el cual está al cabo del valle de los gigantes al norte:
9Y rodea este término desde la cumbre del monte hasta la fuente de las aguas de Nephtoa, y sale á la ciudades del monte de Ephrón, rodeando luego el mismo término á Baala, la cual es Chîriath-jearim.
10Después torna este término desde Baala hacia el occidente al monte de Seir: y pasa al lado del monte de Jearim hacia el norte, esta es Chesalón, y desciende á Beth-semes, y pasa á Timna.
11Sale luego este término al lado de Ecrón hacia el norte; y rodea el mismo término á Sichêron, y pasa por el monte de Baala, y sale á Jabneel: y sale este término á la mar.
12El término del occidente es la mar grande. Este pues, es el término de los hijos de Judá en derredor, por sus familias.
13Mas á Caleb, hijo de Jephone, dió parte entre los hijos de Judá, conforme al mandamiento de Jehová á Josué: esto es, á Chîriath-arba, del padre de Anac, que es Hebrón.
14Y Caleb echó de allí tres hijos de Anac, á Sesai, Aiman, y Talmai, hijos de Anac.
15De aquí subió á los que moraban en Debir: y el nombre de Debir era antes Chîriath-sepher.
16Y dijo Caleb: Al que hiriere á Chîriath-sepher, y la tomare, yo le daré á mi hija Axa por mujer.
17Y tomóla Othoniel, hijo de Cenez, hermano de Caleb; y él le dió por mujer á su hija Axa.
18Y aconteció que cuando la llevaba, él la persuadió que pidiese á su padre tierras para labrar. Ella entonces se apeó del asno. Y Caleb le dijo: ¿Qué tienes?
19Y ella respondió: Dame bendición: pues que me has dado tierra de secadal, dame también fuentes de aguas. El entonces le dió las fuentes de arriba, y las de abajo.
20Esta pues es la herencia de la tribu de los hijos de Judá por sus familias.
21Y fueron las ciudades del término de la tribu de los hijos de Judá hacia el término de Edom al mediodía: Cabseel, y Eder, y Jagur,

1This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.
2And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:
3And it went out to the south side to Maaleh-acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadesh-barnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:
4From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.
5And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:
6And the border went up to Beth-hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:
7And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel:
8And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:
9And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjath-jearim:
10And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:
11And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
13And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.
14And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
15And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjath-sepher.
16And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.
17And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
18And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?
19Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.
20This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
21And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,

1The lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, at the uttermost part of the south.
2Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;
3and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned toward Karka;
4and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the brook of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This shall be your south border.
5The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Jordan. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
6The border went up to Beth Hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

11and the border went out to the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12The west border was to the shore of the great sea. This is the border of the children of Judah according to their families.
13He gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (also called Hebron).
