A Manasés le tocaron en suerte diez partes, además de la tierra de Galaad y de Basán, que está al otro lado del Jordán.

And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
The border went down to the brook of Kanah, southward of the brook. These cities belonged to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh. The border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook, and ended at the sea.

Entonces los hijos de José hablaron a Josué: ¿Por qué nos diste como herencia una sola suerte y una sola parte, aunque somos un pueblo numeroso, al cual Yavé bendijo de este modo?
Y los hijos de José hablaron á Josué, diciendo: ¿Por qué me has dado por heredad una sola suerte y una sola parte, siendo yo un pueblo tan grande y que Jehová me ha así bendecido hasta ahora?
And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto?
The children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, “Why have you given me just one lot and one part for an inheritance, since we are a numerous people, because the LORD has blessed us so far?”
Josué les respondió: Si ustedes son un pueblo numeroso, suban al bosque y desmonten allí en la tierra de los ferezeos y de los refaítas, ya que la región montañosa de Efraín es estrecha para ustedes.
Y Josué les respondió: Si eres pueblo tan grande, sube tú al monte, y corta para ti allí en la tierra del Pherezeo y de los gigantes, pues que el monte de Ephraim es angosto para ti.
And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
Joshua said to them, “If you are a numerous people, go up to the forest, and clear land for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the Rephaim, since the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you.”
Pero los hijos de José le respondieron: No nos bastará esa región montañosa. Todos los cananeos que viven en la tierra del valle tienen carruajes de hierro, tanto los que están en Bet-seán y en sus aldeas, como los que están en el valle de Jezreel.

And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.

sino que la región montañosa será de ustedes, porque aunque es bosque, ustedes lo talarán y la poseerán hasta sus límites, porque desposeerán al cananeo, aunque tenga carruajes de hierro y sea fuerte.

But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
