Esta es la porción que tocó por suerte a la tribu de Manasés (primogénito que fue de José) o a Maquir primogénito de Manasés y padre de Galaad, que fue hombre belicoso, y poseyó el país de Galaad y de Basán,
Y TUVO también suerte la tribu de Manasés, porque fué primogénito de José. Machîr, primogénito de Manasés, y padre de Galaad, el cual fué hombre de guerra, tuvo á Galaad y á Basán.
There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.

Así tocaron a Manasés diez porciones en la tierra de Canaán, sin contar la tierra de Galaad y de Basán, tras el Jordán.

And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, beside the land of Gilead and Bashan, which were on the other side Jordan;

Dichos confines van descendiendo por el valle del Cañaveral hacia el mediodía del torrente de las ciudades de Efraín, que están en medio de las de Manasés: de suerte que la frontera de Manasés pasa al norte del torrente y va a terminar en el mar.
Y desciende este término al arroyo de Cana, hacia el mediodía del arroyo. Estas ciudades de Ephraim están entre las ciudades de Manasés: y el término de Manasés es desde el norte del mismo arroyo, y sus salidas son á la mar.
And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
The border went down to the brook of Kanah, southward of the brook. These cities belonged to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh. The border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook, and ended at the sea.

And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Beth-shean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three countries.

Y los hijos de José se dirigieron a Josué, y le dijeron, hablando Manasés: ¿Por qué me has dado una sola suerte y una sola parte de posesión, siendo así que soy un pueblo tan numeroso a quien el Señor ha colmado de bendiciones?

And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto?
The children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, “Why have you given me just one lot and one part for an inheritance, since we are a numerous people, because the LORD has blessed us so far?”
Josué les respondió: Si eres un pueblo numeroso sube a los bosques, y extiéndete, haciendo desmonte en el país de los ferezeos y de los rafaimitas, ya que la posesión del monte de Efraín es para ti estrecha.
Y Josué les respondió: Si eres pueblo tan grande, sube tú al monte, y corta para ti allí en la tierra del Pherezeo y de los gigantes, pues que el monte de Ephraim es angosto para ti.
And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
Joshua said to them, “If you are a numerous people, go up to the forest, and clear land for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the Rephaim, since the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you.”
Le replicaron los hijos de José. No podremos ganar el país de las montañas; porque los cananeos que habitan en la llanura donde está Betsán y sus aldeas, y Jezrael que ocupa el medio del valle, usan de carros armados de hoces o hierros afilados.
Y los hijos de José dijeron: No nos bastará á nosotros este monte: y todos los Cananeos que habitan la tierra de la campiña, tienen carros herrados; los que están en Beth-san y en sus aldeas, y los que están en el valle de Jezreel.
And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.

sino que subirás a las montañas y desmontarás, y limpiarás trechos de tierra para tu habitación; y podrás alargarte más y más exterminando a los cananeos, que dices tienen carros armados de hoces o hierros afilados, y que son muy fuertes.
Mas aquel monte será tuyo; que bosque es, y tú lo cortarás, y serán tuyos sus términos: porque tú echarás al Cananeo, aunque tenga carros herrados, y aunque sea fuerte.
But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
