Josué 18

Y se congregaron en Silo todos los hijos de Israel, y fijaron allí el Tabernáculo del Testimonio: y tenían sojuzgada la tierra.

Y TODA la congregación de los hijos de Israel se juntó en Silo, y asentaron allí el tabernáculo del testimonio, después que la tierra les fué sujeta.

Les dijo, pues, Josué: ¿Hasta cuándo os consumiréis en la ociosidad, y os estaréis sin entrar a poseer la tierra que os ha dado el Señor Dios de vuestros padres?

And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?

Elegid tres personas de cada tribu para que yo las envíe y vayan a dar una vuelta por el país, y hagan de él una demarcación conforme al número de cada gente, y me traigan el plan o estado que hayan formado.

Señalad tres varones de cada tribu, para que yo los envíe, y que ellos se levanten, y recorran la tierra, y la describan conforme á sus heredades, y se tornen á mí.

Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.

Dividid entre vosotros todo el país en siete partes: Judá se quedará dentro de sus límites en la región del mediodía, y la casa de José al norte.

Y la dividirán en siete partes: y Judá estará en su término al mediodía, y los de la casa de José estarán en el suyo al norte.

And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north.

La tierra intermedia demarcadla en siete partes, y vendréis a mí en este lugar, para que os las sortee aquí en presencia del Señor Dios vuestro.

Vosotros, pues, delinearéis la tierra en siete partes, y me traeréis la descripción aquí, y yo os echaré las suertes aquí delante de Jehová nuestro Dios.

Porque los levitas no tienen parte alguna entre vosotros, sino que su heredad es el sacerdocio del Señor; y Gad, y Rubén, y la media tribu de Manasés ya recibieron sus posesiones al otro lado del Jordán, hacia el oriente; las cuales les dio Moisés, siervo del Señor.

Empero los Levitas ninguna parte tienen entre vosotros; porque el sacerdocio de Jehová es la heredad de ellos: Gad también y Rubén, y la media tribu de Manasés, ya han recibido su heredad de la otra parte del Jordán al oriente, la cual les dió Moisés siervo de Jehová.

But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.

Como, pues, estuviesen ya a punto de marchar los sujetos elegidos para demarcar la tierra, les dio Josué esta orden, diciéndoles: Rodead la tierra, y demarcadla, y volved a mí para que yo aquí en Silo, delante del Señor, eche las suertes.

Levantándose pues aquellos varones, fueron: y mandó Josué á los que iban para delinear la tierra, diciéndoles: Id, recorred la tierra, y delineadla, y tornad á mí, para que yo os eche las suertes aquí delante de Jehová en Silo.

And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the LORD in Shiloh.

The men arose and went. Joshua commanded those who went to survey the land, saying, “Go walk through the land, survey it, and come again to me. I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh.”

Con esto partieron, y habiéndola reconocido la dividieron en siete partes, que las describieron en un libro o cuaderno, y se volvieron a Josué en el campamento de Silo.

Fueron pues aquellos varones y pasearon la tierra, delineándola por ciudades en siete partes en un libro, y tornaron á Josué al campo en Silo.

And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.

Así que sus términos fueron por la parte del norte desde el Jordán, tirando al lado septentrional de Jericó , y subiendo desde allí por el occidente a las montañas llegan hasta el desierto de Betavén;

Y fué el término de ellos al lado del norte desde el Jordán: y sube aquel término al lado de Jericó al norte; sube después al monte hacia el occidente, y viene á salir al desierto de Beth-aven:

And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Beth-aven.

y pasando por el lado meridional cerca de Luza, por otro nombre Betel, de allí bajan a la ciudad de Atarot-Addar, cerca del monte que cae al mediodía de Bet-Horón de abajo;

Y de allí pasa aquel término á Luz, por el lado de Luz (esta es Beth-el) hacia el mediodía. Y desciende este término de Ataroth-addar al monte que está al mediodía de Beth-oron la de abajo.

And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Beth-el, southward; and the border descended to Ataroth-adar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Beth-horon.

The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (also called Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Beth Horon the lower.

aquí tuercen los términos o frontera, y dan vuelta hacia el mar por el mediodía del monte que mira a Bet-Horón de la parte del mediodía, y vienen a parar en Cariat-Baal, llamada también Cariatiarim, ciudad de los hijos de Judá. Este es el lado del territorio hacia el mar por el poniente.

Y torna este término, y da vuelta al lado de la mar, al mediodía hasta el monte que está delante de Beth-oron al mediodía; y viene á salir á Chîriath-baal, que es Chîriath-jearim, ciudad de los hijos de Judá. Este es el lado del occidente.

And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lieth before Beth-horon southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kirjath-baal, which is Kirjath-jearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.

The border extended, and turned around on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth Horon southward; and ended at Kiriath Baal (also called Kiriath Jearim), a city of the children of Judah. This was the west quarter.

Por el mediodía comienzan los términos desde Cariatiarim, hacia el mar, y llegan hasta la fuente de las aguas de Neftoa;

And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjath-jearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah:

The south quarter was from the farthest part of Kiriath Jearim. The border went out westward, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.

después se dejan caer hasta el cabo del monte, que mira al valle de los hijos de Ennom, y yace al norte en la extremidad del valle de Rafaim, o de los gigantes: de aquí bajan a Geennom (esto es, al valle de Ennom), tocando en el lado austral del jebuseo, y llegan hasta la fuente de Rogel,

Y desciende aqueste término al cabo del monte que está delante del valle del hijo de Hinnom, que está en la campiña de los gigantes hacia el norte: desciende luego al valle de Hinnom, al lado del Jebuseo al mediodía, y de allí desciende á la fuente de Rogel:

And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to En-rogel,

The border went down to the farthest part of the mountain that lies before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the valley of Rephaim northward. It went down to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En Rogel.

avanzando hacia el norte, y saliendo a Ensemes, esto es, la fuente del Sol.

Y del norte torna y sale á Ensemes, y de allí sale á Geliloth, que está delante de la subida de Adummim, y descendía á la piedra de Bohan, hijo de Rubén:

And was drawn from the north, and went forth to En-shemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,

It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is opposite the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

Corren después hasta los cerros que están enfrente de la subida de Adommim, de donde descienden a Abenboén, esto es, a la piedra de Boén, hijo de Rubén: y pasan por la parte del norte a la campiña y descienden a una llanura.

Y pasa al lado que está delante de la campiña del norte, y desciende á los llanos:

And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah:

It passed along to the side opposite the Arabah northward, and went down to the Arabah.

Hacia el norte se extienden más allá de Bet-Hagla: y rematan en la punta septentrional del mar Salado o Muerto en la embocadura del Jordán que mira al mediodía;

Y torna á pasar este término por el lado de Beth-hogla hacia el norte, y viene á salir el término á la lengua del mar Salado al norte, al cabo del Jordán al mediodía. Este es el término de hacia el mediodía.

And the border passed along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward: and the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south coast.

el cual es su límite por el oriente. Esta es la posesión de los hijos de Benjamín según sus familias, demarcados sus lindes por todo su alrededor.

Y el Jordán acaba aqueste término al lado del oriente. Esta es la heredad de los hijos de Benjamín por sus términos alrededor, conforme á sus familias.

And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about, according to their families.
