Y sucedió que después de la muerte de Moisés, siervo del Señor, habló el Señor a Josué, hijo de Nun, ministro de Moisés, y le dijo:

Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,

Mi siervo Moisés ha muerto: anda y pasa ese Jordán tú y todo el pueblo contigo, para entrar en la tierra que yo daré a los hijos de Israel.
Mi siervo Moisés es muerto: levántate pues ahora, y pasa este Jordán, tú y todo este pueblo, á la tierra que yo les doy á los hijos de Israel.
Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

Todo el lugar de ella que pisare la planta de vuestro pie, os lo entregaré, como lo dije a Moisés.
Yo os he entregado, como lo había dicho á Moisés, todo lugar que pisare la planta de vuestro pie.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Vuestros términos serán desde el desierto y desde el Líbano hasta el gran río Eufrates: toda la tierra de los heteos hasta el mar grande que cae al poniente será vuestra.

Ninguno de esos pueblos podrá resistiros en todo el tiempo de tu vida: como estuve con Moisés, así estaré contigo: no te dejaré ni te desampararé.
Nadie te podrá hacer frente en todos los días de tu vida: como yo fuí con Moisés, seré contigo; no te dejaré, ni te desampararé.
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Esfuérzate y ten buen ánimo; porque tú has de repartir por suerte a este pueblo la tierra que juré a sus padres que les daría.

Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Anímate, pues, y ármate de gran fortaleza para guardar y cumplir toda la ley que te prescribió mi siervo Moisés; no te desvíes de ella ni a la diestra ni a la siniestra; así obrarás prudentemente.
Solamente te esfuerces, y seas muy valiente, para cuidar de hacer conforme á toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés te mandó: no te apartes de ella ni á diestra ni á siniestra, para que seas prosperado en todas las cosas que emprendieres.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Only be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.
Tu boca hable de continuo del libro de esta ley, y medita de día y de noche lo que en él se contiene, a fin de guardar y cumplir todas las cosas en él escritas; con lo cual irás por el recto camino, y procederás sabiamente.
El libro de aquesta ley nunca se apartará de tu boca: antes de día y de noche meditarás en él, para que guardes y hagas conforme á todo lo que en él está escrito: porque entonces harás prosperar tu camino, y todo te saldrá bien.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Mira que yo soy el que te lo mando; buen ánimo y sé constante. No temas ni desmayes; porque contigo está el Señor Dios tuyo a cualquier parte que vayas.
Mira que te mando que te esfuerces y seas valiente: no temas ni desmayes, porque Jehová tu Dios será contigo en donde quiera que fueres.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Poco después mandó Josué a los príncipes del pueblo, diciendo: Recorred el campamento y comunicad esta orden al pueblo y decidle:

Haced provisión de víveres, porque después de tres días de levantado el campo, habéis de pasar el Jordán y entrar en posesión de la tierra que os ha de dar el Señor Dios vuestro.
Pasad por medio del campo, y mandad al pueblo, diciendo: Preveníos de comida; porque dentro de tres días pasaréis el Jordán, para que entréis á poseer la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios os da para que la poseáis.
Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
“Pass through the middle of the camp, and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare food; for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you to possess.’”
Dijo asimismo a los hijos de las tribus de Rubén y de Gad, y a los de la media tribu de Manasés:
También habló Josué á los Rubenitas y Gaditas, y á la media tribu de Manasés, diciendo:
And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,

Acordaos del mandato que os dio Moisés, siervo del Señor, cuando os dijo: Dios nuestro Señor os ha concedido reposo, y os ha dado toda esta tierra.
Acordaos de la palabra que Moisés, siervo de Jehová, os mandó diciendo: Jehová vuestro Dios os ha dado reposo, y os ha dado esta tierra.
Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.
“Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, ‘The LORD your God gives you rest, and will give you this land.
Vuestras mujeres e hijos y vuestros ganados se quedarán en este territorio que os entregó Moisés del Jordán acá; pero todos los más esforzados y aguerridos pasad armados a la frente de vuestros hermanos, y pelead a favor de ellos,
Vuestras mujeres y vuestros niños y vuestras bestias, quedarán en la tierra que Moisés os ha dado de esta parte del Jordán; mas vosotros, todos los valientes y fuertes, pasaréis armados delante de vuestros hermanos, y les ayudaréis;
Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;
Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall live in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan; but you shall pass over before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and shall help them
hasta tanto que el Señor dé reposo a vuestros hermanos, como os lo ha dado a vosotros y posean también ellos la tierra que el Señor Dios vuestro les ha de dar: y entonces os volveréis al territorio cuya posesión se os ha dado y habitaréis en el lugar que os señaló Moisés, siervo del Señor, a esta parte del Jordán, hacia el oriente.
Hasta tanto que Jehová haya dado reposo á vuestros hermanos como á vosotros, y que ellos también posean la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios les da: y después volveréis vosotros á la tierra de vuestra herencia, la cual Moisés siervo de Jehová os ha dado, de esta parte del Jordán hacia donde nace el sol; y la poseeréis.
Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
until the LORD has given your brothers rest, as he has given you, and they have also possessed the land which the LORD your God gives them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and possess it, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.’”
Ellos respondieron a Josué y dijeron: Haremos todo cuanto nos has mandado, e iremos a doquiera que nos enviares;
Entonces respondieron á Josué, diciendo: Nosotros haremos todas las cosas que nos has mandado, é iremos adonde quiera que nos mandares.
And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
They answered Joshua, saying, “All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.
así como hemos obedecido a Moisés en todo, del mismo modo te obedeceremos también a ti; solamente deseamos que el Señor tu Dios sea contigo, como fue con Moisés.
De la manera que obedecimos á Moisés en todas las cosas, así te obedeceremos á ti: solamente Jehová tu Dios sea contigo, como fué con Moisés.
According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
Just as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you. Only may the LORD your God be with you, as he was with Moses.
El que contradijere tus palabras y no quisiere obedecer tus órdenes, muera. Tú por tu parte anímate y obra varonilmente, que nosotros te seguiremos por todo.
Cualquiera que fuere rebelde á tu mandamiento, y no obedeciere á tus palabras en todas las cosas que le mandares, que muera; solamente que te esfuerces, y seas valiente.
Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
Whoever rebels against your commandment, and doesn’t listen to your words in all that you command him shall himself be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”
