1Las cabezas de las casas paternas de los levitas se acercaron al sacerdote Eleazar, a Josué hijo de Nun y a los jefes de las casas paternas de las tribus de los hijos de Israel,
2y les hablaron en Silo, en la tierra de Canaán, diciendo: «Yahvé mandó por medio de Moisés que nos fuesen dadas ciudades donde habitar, con sus ejidos para nuestros ganados».
3Entonces los hijos de Israel dieron a los levitas de su propia herencia, conforme al mandato de Yahvé, estas ciudades con sus ejidos.
4Y cayó la suerte para las familias de los coatitas; y los hijos del sacerdote Aarón, que eran de los levitas, obtuvieron por suerte trece ciudades de la tribu de Judá, de la tribu de Simeón y de la tribu de Benjamín.
5Y los demás hijos de Coat obtuvieron por suerte diez ciudades de las familias de la tribu de Efraín, de la tribu de Dan y de la media tribu de Manasés.
6Los hijos de Gersón obtuvieron por suerte trece ciudades de las familias de la tribu de Isacar, de la tribu de Aser, de la tribu de Neftalí y de la media tribu de Manasés en Basán.
7Los hijos de Merari, según sus familias, obtuvieron doce ciudades de la tribu de Rubén, de la tribu de Gad y de la tribu de Zabulón.
8Dieron, pues, los hijos de Israel a los levitas estas ciudades con sus ejidos por suerte, como Yahvé había mandado por medio de Moisés.
9De la tribu de los hijos de Judá y de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, dieron estas ciudades que fueron nombradas,
10las cuales obtuvieron los hijos de Aarón, de las familias de los coatitas, de los hijos de Leví; pues la primera suerte fue de ellos.
11Les dieron Quiriat-arba (padre de Anac, la cual es Hebrón), en el monte de Judá, con sus ejidos alrededor.
12Mas el campo de la ciudad y sus aldeas dieron a Caleb hijo de Jefone por posesión suya.
13Así dieron a los hijos del sacerdote Aarón la ciudad de refugio para el homicida, Hebrón con sus ejidos; Libna con sus ejidos,
14Jatir con sus ejidos, Estemoa con sus ejidos,
15Holón con sus ejidos, Debir con sus ejidos,
16Ain con sus ejidos, Juta con sus ejidos y Bet-semes con sus ejidos; nueve ciudades de estas dos tribus.
17Y de la tribu de Benjamín, Gabaón con sus ejidos, Geba con sus ejidos,
18Anatot con sus ejidos y Almón con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.
19Todas las ciudades de los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, fueron trece ciudades con sus ejidos.
20Mas las familias de los hijos de Coat, levitas, los que quedaron de los hijos de Coat, obtuvieron por suerte ciudades de la tribu de Efraín.
21Les dieron Siquem con sus ejidos, la ciudad de refugio para el homicida, en el monte de Efraín; Gezer con sus ejidos,
22Kibsaim con sus ejidos y Bet-horón con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.
23De la tribu de Dan, Elteque con sus ejidos, Gibetón con sus ejidos,
24Ajalón con sus ejidos y Gat-rimón con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.
25Y de la media tribu de Manasés, Taanac con sus ejidos y Gat-rimón con sus ejidos; dos ciudades.
26Todas las ciudades para las familias de los demás hijos de Coat fueron diez con sus ejidos.
27A los hijos de Gersón, de las familias de los levitas, dieron de la media tribu de Manasés la ciudad de refugio para el homicida, Golán en Basán con sus ejidos; y Beestera con sus ejidos; dos ciudades.
28De la tribu de Isacar, Quisión con sus ejidos, Daberat con sus ejidos,
29Jarmut con sus ejidos y En-ganim con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.
30De la tribu de Aser, Miseal con sus ejidos, Abdón con sus ejidos,
31Helcat con sus ejidos y Rehob con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.
32Y de la tribu de Neftalí, la ciudad de refugio para el homicida, Cedes en Galilea con sus ejidos; Hamot-dor con sus ejidos y Cartán con sus ejidos; tres ciudades.
33Todas las ciudades de los gersonitas por sus familias fueron trece ciudades con sus ejidos.
34Y a las familias de los hijos de Merari, levitas que quedaban, dieron de la tribu de Zabulón, Jocneam con sus ejidos, Carta con sus ejidos,
35Dimna con sus ejidos y Naalal con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.
36Y de la tribu de Rubén, Beser con sus ejidos, Jahaza con sus ejidos,
37Cademot con sus ejidos y Mefaat con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.
38De la tribu de Gad, la ciudad de refugio para el homicida, Ramot de Galaad con sus ejidos; Mahanaim con sus ejidos,
39Hesbón con sus ejidos y Jazer con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades en total.
40Todas las ciudades de los hijos de Merari por sus familias, los que restaban de las familias de los levitas, fueron por sus suertes doce ciudades.
41Todas las ciudades de los levitas en medio de la posesión de los hijos de Israel fueron cuarenta y ocho ciudades con sus ejidos.
42Y estas ciudades estaban apartadas la una de la otra, cada una con sus ejidos alrededor; así fue con todas estas ciudades.
43De esta manera dio Yahvé a Israel toda la tierra que había jurado dar a sus padres, y la poseyeron y habitaron en ella.
44Y Yahvé les dio reposo en derredor, conforme a todo lo que había jurado a sus padres; y ninguno de todos sus enemigos pudo hacerles frente, porque Yahvé entregó en sus manos a todos sus enemigos.
45No faltó palabra de todas las buenas promesas que Yahvé había hecho a la casa de Israel; todo se cumplió.

1Y LOS principales de los padres de los Levitas vinieron á Eleazar sacerdote, y á Josué hijo de Nun, y á los principales de los padres de las tribus de los hijos de Israel;
2Y habláronles en Silo en la tierra de Canaán, diciendo: Jehová mandó por Moisés que nos fuesen dadas villas para habitar, con sus ejidos para nuestras bestias.
3Entonces los hijos de Israel dieron á los Levitas de sus posesiones, conforme á la palabra de Jehová, estas villas con sus ejidos.
4Y salió la suerte por las familias de los Coathitas; y fueron dadas por suerte á los hijos de Aarón sacerdote, que eran de los Levitas, por la tribu de Judá, por la de Simeón y por la de Benjamín, trece villas.
5Y á los otros hijos de Coath se dieron por suerte diez villas de las familias de la tribu de Ephraim, y de la tribu de Dan, y de la media tribu de Manasés;
6Y á los hijos de Gersón, por las familias de la tribu de Issachâr, y de la tribu de Aser, y de la tribu de Nephtalí, y de la media tribu de Manasés en Basán, fueron dadas por suerte trece villas.
7A los hijos de Merari por sus familias se dieron doce villas por la tribu de Rubén, y por la tribu de Gad, y por la tribu de Zabulón.
8Y así dieron por suerte los hijos de Israel á los Levitas estas villas con sus ejidos, como Jehová lo había mandado por Moisés.
9Y de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, y de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón dieron estas villas que fueron nombradas:
10Y la primera suerte fué de los hijos de Aarón, de la familia de Coath, de los hijos de Leví;
11A los cuales dieron Chîriath-arba, del padre de Anac, la cual es Hebrón, en el monte de Judá, con sus ejidos en sus contornos.
12Mas el campo de aquesta ciudad y sus aldeas dieron á Caleb hijo de Jephone, por su posesión.
13Y á los hijos de Aarón sacerdote dieron la ciudad de refugio para los homicidas, á Hebrón con sus ejidos; y á Libna con sus ejidos,
14Y á Jattir con sus ejidos, y á Estemoa con sus ejidos,
15A Helón con sus ejidos, y á Debir con sus ejidos,
16A Ain con sus ejidos, á Jutta con sus ejidos, y á Beth-semes con sus ejidos; nueve villas de estas dos tribus:
17Y de la tribu de Benjamín, á Gibeón con sus ejidos, á Geba con sus ejidos,
18A Anathoth con sus ejidos, á Almón con sus ejidos: cuatro villas.
19Todas las villas de los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, son trece con sus ejidos.
20Mas las familias de los hijos de Coath, Levitas, los que quedaban de los hijos de Coath, recibieron por suerte villas de la tribu de Ephraim.
21Y diéronles á Sichêm, villa de refugio para los homicidas, con sus ejidos, en el monte de Ephraim; y á Geser con sus ejidos,
22Y á Kibsaim con sus ejidos, y á Beth-oron con sus ejidos: cuatro villas:
23Y de la tribu de Dan á Eltheco con sus ejidos, á Gibethón con sus ejidos,
24A Ayalón con sus ejidos, á Gath-rimmón con sus ejidos: cuatro villas:
25Y de la media tribu de Manasés, á Taanach con sus ejidos, y á Gath-rimmón con sus ejidos: dos villas.
26Todas las villas para el resto de las familias de los hijos de Coath fueron diez con sus ejidos.
27A los hijos de Gersón de las familias de los Levitas, dieron la villa de refugio para los homicidas, de la media tribu de Manasés: á Gaulón en Basán con sus ejidos, y á Bosra con sus ejidos: dos villas.
28Y de la tribu de Issachâr, á Cesión con sus ejidos, á Dabereth con sus ejidos,
29A Jarmuth con sus ejidos, y á En-gannim con sus ejidos: cuatro villas:
30Y de la tribu de Aser, á Miseal con sus ejidos, á Abdón con sus ejidos,
31A Helchâth con sus ejidos, y á Rehob con sus ejidos: cuatro villas:
32Y de la tribu de Nephtalí, la villa de refugio para los homicidas, á Cedes en Galilea con sus ejidos, á Hammoth-dor con sus ejidos, y á Cartán con sus ejidos: tres villas:

43Así dió Jehová á Israel toda la tierra que había jurado dar á sus padres; y poseyéronla, y habitaron en ella.
44Y Jehová les dió reposo alrededor, conforme á todo lo que había jurado á sus padres: y ninguno de todos los enemigos les paró delante, sino que Jehová entregó en sus manos á todos sus enemigos.
45No faltó palabra de todas la buenas que habló Jehová á la casa de Israel; todo se cumplió.

1Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
2And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
3And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.
4And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

10Which the children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot.
11And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it.
12But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

41All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs.
42These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
43And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

1Then the heads of fathers’ houses of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.
2They spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, “The LORD commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their pasture lands for our livestock.”
3The children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with their pasture lands.
4The lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. The children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had thirteen cities by lot out of the tribe of Judah, out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin.
5The rest of the children of Kohath had ten cities by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh.
6The children of Gershon had thirteen cities by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, out of the tribe of Asher, out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
7The children of Merari according to their families had twelve cities out of the tribe of Reuben, out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun.
8The children of Israel gave these cities with their pasture lands by lot to the Levites, as the LORD commanded by Moses.
9They gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are mentioned by name:
10and they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.
11They gave them Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (also called Hebron), in the hill country of Judah, with its pasture lands around it.
12But they gave the fields of the city and its villages to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

42Each of these cities included their pasture lands around them. It was this way with all these cities.
43So the LORD gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers. They possessed it, and lived in it.
44The LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. Not a man of all their enemies stood before them. The LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45Nothing failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
