1*Et les chefs des pères des Lévites s’approchèrent d’Éléazar, le sacrificateur, et de Josué, fils de Nun, et des chefs des pères des tribus des fils d’Israël,
2et leur parlèrent à Silo, dans le pays de Canaan, disant : L’Éternel a commandé par Moïse qu’on nous donne des villes pour y habiter, et leurs banlieues pour nos bêtes.
3Et les fils d’Israël donnèrent de leur héritage aux Lévites, selon le commandement de l’Éternel, ces villes-ci, avec leurs banlieues :
4Et le lot échut aux familles des Kehathites. Et il y eut, par le sort, pour les fils d’Aaron, le sacrificateur, d’entre les Lévites, 13 villes de la tribu de Juda, et de la tribu des Siméonites, et de la tribu de Benjamin ;
5et pour les autres fils de Kehath, dix villes des familles de la tribu d’Éphraïm, et de la tribu de Dan, et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, par le sort ;
6et pour les fils de Guershon, 13 villes des familles de la tribu d’Issacar, et de la tribu d’Aser, et de la tribu de Nephthali, et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, en Basan, par le sort ;
7[et] pour les fils de Merari, selon leurs familles, douze villes de la tribu de Ruben, et de la tribu de Gad, et de la tribu de Zabulon.
8Et les fils d’Israël donnèrent aux Lévites, par le sort, ces villes-là et leurs banlieues, comme l’Éternel l’avait commandé par Moïse.
9Et ils donnèrent, de la tribu des fils de Juda et de la tribu des fils de Siméon, ces villes-ci, qu’on nomma par leurs noms,
10et qui furent pour les fils d’Aaron, des familles des Kehathites, d’entre les fils de Lévi ; car le premier lot fut pour eux.
11On leur donna : Kiriath-Arba ([Arba était] père d’Anak), c’est Hébron, dans la montagne de Juda, et sa banlieue autour d’elle.
12Mais la campagne de la ville et ses hameaux, ils les donnèrent à Caleb, fils de Jephunné, pour sa possession.
13Et ils donnèrent aux fils d’Aaron, le sacrificateur, la ville de refuge pour l’homicide : Hébron et sa banlieue ; et Libna et sa banlieue,
14et Jatthir et sa banlieue, et Eshtemoa et sa banlieue,
15et Holon et sa banlieue, et Debir et sa banlieue,
16et Aïn et sa banlieue, et Jutta et sa banlieue, [et] Beth-Shémesh et sa banlieue, neuf villes de ces deux tribus-là ;
17et de la tribu de Benjamin : Gabaon et sa banlieue, Guéba et sa banlieue,
18Anathoth et sa banlieue, et Almon et sa banlieue, quatre villes.
19Toutes les villes des fils d’Aaron, sacrificateurs : 13 villes et leurs banlieues.
20Et pour les familles des fils de Kehath, les autres Lévites d’entre les fils de Kehath, les villes de leur lot furent de la tribu d’Éphraïm.
21Ils leur donnèrent la ville de refuge pour l’homicide : Sichem et sa banlieue, dans la montagne d’Éphraïm ; et Guézer et sa banlieue,
22et Kibtsaïm et sa banlieue, et Beth-Horon et sa banlieue, quatre villes ;
23et de la tribu de Dan : Eltheké et sa banlieue, Guibbethon et sa banlieue,
24Ajalon et sa banlieue, Gath-Rimmon et sa banlieue, quatre villes ;
25et de la demi-tribu de Manassé : Thaanac et sa banlieue, et Gath-Rimmon et sa banlieue, deux villes.
26En tout dix villes et leurs banlieues, pour les familles des autres fils de Kehath.
27Et pour les fils de Guershon, d’entre les familles des Lévites, il y eut, de la demi-tribu de Manassé, la ville de refuge pour l’homicide : Golan, en Basan, et sa banlieue ; et Beeshtra et sa banlieue, deux villes ;
28et de la tribu d’Issacar : Kishion et sa banlieue, Dabrath et sa banlieue,
29Jarmuth et sa banlieue, En-Gannim et sa banlieue, quatre villes ;
30et de la tribu d’Aser : Misheal et sa banlieue, Abdon et sa banlieue,
31Helkath et sa banlieue, et Rehob et sa banlieue, quatre villes ;
32et de la tribu de Nephthali, la ville de refuge pour l’homicide : Kédesh, en Galilée, et sa banlieue ; et Hammoth-Dor et sa banlieue, et Karthan et sa banlieue, trois villes.
33Toutes les villes des Guershonites, selon leurs familles : 13 villes et leurs banlieues.
34Et pour les familles des fils de Merari, les autres Lévites, [on donna], de la tribu de Zabulon : Jokneam et sa banlieue, Kartha et sa banlieue,
35Dimna et sa banlieue, Nahalal et sa banlieue, quatre villes ;
36et de la tribu de Ruben : Bétser et sa banlieue, et Jahtsa et sa banlieue,
37Kedémoth et sa banlieue, et Méphaath et sa banlieue, quatre villes ;
38et de la tribu de Gad, la ville de refuge pour l’homicide : Ramoth, en Galaad, et sa banlieue ; et Mahanaïm et sa banlieue,
39Hesbon et sa banlieue, Jahzer et sa banlieue : en tout, quatre villes.
40Toutes ces villes étaient aux fils de Merari, selon leurs familles, – le reste des familles des Lévites ; leur lot fut de douze villes.
41Toutes les villes des Lévites, au milieu de la possession des fils d’Israël : 48 villes et leurs banlieues.
42Chacune de ces villes avait sa banlieue autour d’elle ; il en était ainsi pour toutes ces villes.
43Et l’Éternel donna à Israël tout le pays qu’il avait juré de donner à leurs pères ; et ils le possédèrent, et y habitèrent.
44Et l’Éternel leur donna du repos à l’entour, selon tout ce qu’il avait juré à leurs pères ; et, de tous leurs ennemis, pas un homme ne tint devant eux ; l’Éternel livra tous leurs ennemis entre leurs mains.
45Il ne tomba pas un mot de toutes les bonnes paroles que l’Éternel avait dites à la maison d’Israël : tout arriva.

1Y LOS principales de los padres de los Levitas vinieron á Eleazar sacerdote, y á Josué hijo de Nun, y á los principales de los padres de las tribus de los hijos de Israel;
2Y habláronles en Silo en la tierra de Canaán, diciendo: Jehová mandó por Moisés que nos fuesen dadas villas para habitar, con sus ejidos para nuestras bestias.
3Entonces los hijos de Israel dieron á los Levitas de sus posesiones, conforme á la palabra de Jehová, estas villas con sus ejidos.
4Y salió la suerte por las familias de los Coathitas; y fueron dadas por suerte á los hijos de Aarón sacerdote, que eran de los Levitas, por la tribu de Judá, por la de Simeón y por la de Benjamín, trece villas.
5Y á los otros hijos de Coath se dieron por suerte diez villas de las familias de la tribu de Ephraim, y de la tribu de Dan, y de la media tribu de Manasés;
6Y á los hijos de Gersón, por las familias de la tribu de Issachâr, y de la tribu de Aser, y de la tribu de Nephtalí, y de la media tribu de Manasés en Basán, fueron dadas por suerte trece villas.
7A los hijos de Merari por sus familias se dieron doce villas por la tribu de Rubén, y por la tribu de Gad, y por la tribu de Zabulón.
8Y así dieron por suerte los hijos de Israel á los Levitas estas villas con sus ejidos, como Jehová lo había mandado por Moisés.
9Y de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, y de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón dieron estas villas que fueron nombradas:
10Y la primera suerte fué de los hijos de Aarón, de la familia de Coath, de los hijos de Leví;
11A los cuales dieron Chîriath-arba, del padre de Anac, la cual es Hebrón, en el monte de Judá, con sus ejidos en sus contornos.
12Mas el campo de aquesta ciudad y sus aldeas dieron á Caleb hijo de Jephone, por su posesión.
13Y á los hijos de Aarón sacerdote dieron la ciudad de refugio para los homicidas, á Hebrón con sus ejidos; y á Libna con sus ejidos,
14Y á Jattir con sus ejidos, y á Estemoa con sus ejidos,
15A Helón con sus ejidos, y á Debir con sus ejidos,
16A Ain con sus ejidos, á Jutta con sus ejidos, y á Beth-semes con sus ejidos; nueve villas de estas dos tribus:
17Y de la tribu de Benjamín, á Gibeón con sus ejidos, á Geba con sus ejidos,
18A Anathoth con sus ejidos, á Almón con sus ejidos: cuatro villas.
19Todas las villas de los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, son trece con sus ejidos.

25Y de la media tribu de Manasés, á Taanach con sus ejidos, y á Gath-rimmón con sus ejidos: dos villas.

38De la tribu de Gad, la villa de refugio para los homicidas, Ramoth en Galaad con sus ejidos, y Mahanaim con sus ejidos,
39Hesbón con sus ejidos, y Jacer con sus ejidos: cuatro villas.

43Así dió Jehová á Israel toda la tierra que había jurado dar á sus padres; y poseyéronla, y habitaron en ella.
44Y Jehová les dió reposo alrededor, conforme á todo lo que había jurado á sus padres: y ninguno de todos los enemigos les paró delante, sino que Jehová entregó en sus manos á todos sus enemigos.
45No faltó palabra de todas la buenas que habló Jehová á la casa de Israel; todo se cumplió.

1Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
2And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
3And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.
4And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

8And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
9And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name,
10Which the children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot.
11And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it.
12But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

41All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs.
42These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
43And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

1Then the heads of fathers’ houses of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.
2They spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, “The LORD commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their pasture lands for our livestock.”
3The children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with their pasture lands.
4The lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. The children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had thirteen cities by lot out of the tribe of Judah, out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin.
5The rest of the children of Kohath had ten cities by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh.
6The children of Gershon had thirteen cities by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, out of the tribe of Asher, out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
7The children of Merari according to their families had twelve cities out of the tribe of Reuben, out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun.
8The children of Israel gave these cities with their pasture lands by lot to the Levites, as the LORD commanded by Moses.

30Out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its pasture lands, Abdon with its pasture lands,

40All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites. Their lot was twelve cities.
41All the cities of the Levites among the possessions of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities with their pasture lands.
42Each of these cities included their pasture lands around them. It was this way with all these cities.
43So the LORD gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers. They possessed it, and lived in it.
44The LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. Not a man of all their enemies stood before them. The LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45Nothing failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
