Josué 24

E juntando Josué todas as tribos de Israel em Siquém, chamou aos anciãos de Israel, e a seus príncipes, a seus juízes, e a seus oficiais; e apresentaram-se diante de Deus.

Y JUNTANDO Josué todas las tribus de Israel en Sichêm, llamó á los ancianos de Israel, y á sus príncipes, á sus jueces, y á sus oficiales; y presentáronse delante de Dios.

And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.

E eu tomei a vosso pai Abraão da outra parte do rio, e trouxe-o por toda a terra de Canaã, e aumentei sua geração, e dei-lhe a Isaque.

E eu enviei a Moisés e a Arão, e feri ao Egito, ao modo que o fiz em meio dele, e depois vos tirei.

E quando eles clamaram ao SENHOR, ele pôs escuridão entre vós e os egípcios, e fez vir sobre eles o mar, a qual os cobriu: e vossos olhos viram o que fiz em Egito. Depois estivestes muitos dias no deserto.

Y como ellos clamasen á Jehová, él puso oscuridad entre vosotros y los Egipcios, é hizo venir sobre ellos la mar, la cual los cubrió: y vuestros ojos vieron lo que hice en Egipto. Después estuvisteis muchos días en el desierto.

And when they cried unto the LORD, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I have done in Egypt: and ye dwelt in the wilderness a long season.

E vos introduzi na terra dos amorreus, que habitavam da outra parte do Jordão, os quais lutaram contra vós; mas eu os entreguei em vossas mãos, e possuístes sua terra, e os destruí de diante de vós.

And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.

E levantou-se depois Balaque filho de Zipor, rei dos moabitas, e lutou contra Israel; e mandou chamar a Balaão filho de Beor, para que vos amaldiçoasse.

Y levantóse después Balac hijo de Sephor, rey de los Moabitas, y peleó contra Israel; y envió á llamar á Balaam hijo de Beor, para que os maldijese.

Mas eu não quis escutar a Balaão, antes vos abençoou repetidamente, e vos livre de suas mãos.

And ye went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.

E enviei vespas diante de vós, os quais os expulsaram de diante de vós, a saber, aos dois reis dos amorreus; não com tua espada, nem com teu arco.

Y envié tábanos delante de vosotros, los cuales los echaron de delante de vosotros, á saber, á los dos reyes de los Amorrheos; no con tu espada, ni con tu arco.

And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.

E vos dei a terra pela qual nada trabalhastes, e as cidades que não edificastes, nas quais morais; e das vinhas e olivais que não plantastes, comeis.

And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.

I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities which you didn’t build, and you live in them. You eat of vineyards and olive groves which you didn’t plant.’

Agora, pois, temei ao SENHOR, e servi-o com integridade e em verdade; e tirai do meio os deuses aos quais serviram vossos pais da outra parte do rio, e em Egito; e servi ao SENHOR.

Ahora pues, temed á Jehová, y servidle con integridad y en verdad; y quitad de en medio los dioses á los cuales sirvieron vuestros padres de esotra parte del río, y en Egipto; y servid á Jehová.

E se mal vos parece servir ao SENHOR, escolhei hoje a quem sirvais; se aos deuses a os quais serviram vossos pais, quando estiveram da outra parte do rio, ou aos deuses dos amorreus em cuja terra habitais: que eu e minha casa serviremos ao SENHOR.

Y si mal os parece servir á Jehová, escogeos hoy á quién sirváis; si á los dioses á quienes sirvieron vuestros padres, cuando estuvieron de esotra parte del río, ó á los dioses de los Amorrheos en cuya tierra habitáis: que yo y mi casa serviremos á Jehová.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Então o povo respondeu, e disse: Nunca tal aconteça que deixemos ao SENHOR para servir a outros deuses:

And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;

Porque o SENHOR nosso Deus é o que tirou a nós e a nossos pais da terra do Egito, da casa de escravidão; o qual diante de nossos olhos fez estas grandes sinais, e nos guardou por todo o caminho por onde andamos, e em todos os povos por entre os quais passamos.

Porque Jehová nuestro Dios es el que nos sacó á nosotros y á nuestros padres de la tierra de Egipto, de la casa de servidumbre; el cual delante de nuestros ojos ha hecho estas grandes señales, y nos ha guardado por todo el camino por donde hemos andado, y en todos los pueblos por entre los cuales pasamos.

For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:

E o SENHOR expulsou de diante de nós a todos os povos, e aos amorreus que habitavam na terra: nós, pois, também serviremos ao SENHOR, porque ele é nosso Deus.

Y Jehová echó de delante de nosotros á todos los pueblos, y al Amorrheo que habitaba en la tierra: nosotros, pues, también serviremos á Jehová, porque él es nuestro Dios.

Então Josué disse ao povo: Não podereis servir ao SENHOR, porque ele é Deus santo, e Deus zeloso; não tolerará vossas rebeliões e vossos pecados.

Entonces Josué dijo al pueblo: No podréis servir á Jehová, porque él es Dios santo, y Dios celoso; no sufrirá vuestras rebeliones y vuestros pecados.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

Joshua said to the people, “You can’t serve the LORD, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.

Se deixardes ao SENHOR e servirdes a deuses alheios, se voltará, e vos maltratará, e vos consumirá, depois que vos fez bem.

Si dejareis á Jehová y sirviereis á dioses ajenos, se volverá, y os maltratará, y os consumirá, después que os ha hecho bien.

If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.

If you forsake the LORD, and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you evil, and consume you, after he has done you good.”

O povo então disse a Josué: Não, antes ao SENHOR serviremos.

El pueblo entonces dijo á Josué: No, antes á Jehová serviremos.

And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.

The people said to Joshua, “No, but we will serve the LORD.”

E Josué respondeu ao povo: Vós sois testemunhas contra vós mesmos, de que escolhestes para vós ao SENHOR para servir-lhe. E eles responderam: Testemunhas somos.

Y Josué respondió al pueblo: Vosotros sois testigos contra vosotros mismos, de que os habéis elegido á Jehová para servirle. Y ellos respondieron: Testigos somos.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.

Joshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen the LORD yourselves, to serve him.” They said, “We are witnesses.”

Tirai, pois, agora os deuses alheios que estão entre vós, e inclinai vosso coração ao SENHOR Deus de Israel.

Quitad, pues, ahora los dioses ajenos que están entre vosotros, é inclinad vuestro corazón á Jehová Dios de Israel.

Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.

E o povo respondeu a Josué: Ao SENHOR nosso Deus serviremos, e à sua voz obedeceremos.

Y el pueblo respondió á Josué: A Jehová nuestro Dios serviremos, y á su voz obedeceremos.

And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the LORD our God, and we will listen to his voice.”

Então Josué fez aliança com o povo o mesmo dia, e pôs-lhe ordenanças e leis em Siquém.

Entonces Josué hizo alianza con el pueblo el mismo día, y púsole ordenanzas y leyes en Sichêm.

So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.

E escreveu Josué estas palavras no livro da lei de Deus; e tomando uma grande pedra, levantou-a ali debaixo de um carvalho que estava junto ao santuário do SENHOR.

E disse Josué a todo o povo: Eis que esta pedra será entre nós por testemunha, a qual ouviu todas as palavras do SENHOR que ele falou conosco: será, pois, testemunha contra vós, para que não mintais contra vosso Deus.

And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.

E enviou Josué ao povo, cada um à sua herança.

E enterraram-no no termo de sua possessão em Timnate-Sera, que está no monte de Efraim, ao norte do monte de Gaás.

E enterraram em Siquém os ossos de José que os filhos de Israel haviam trazido do Egito, na parte do campo que Jacó comprou dos filhos de Hamor, pai de Siquém, por cem peças de prata; e foi em possessão aos filhos de José.
