Und Josua versammelte alle Stämme Israels nach Sichem, und er berief die Ältesten von Israel und seine Häupter und seine Richter und seine Vorsteher; und sie stellten sich vor Gott.

Y JUNTANDO Josué todas las tribus de Israel en Sichêm, llamó á los ancianos de Israel, y á sus príncipes, á sus jueces, y á sus oficiales; y presentáronse delante de Dios.

And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.

Und nun fürchet Jehova und dienet ihm in Vollkommenheit und in Wahrheit; und tut die Götter hinweg, welchen eure Väter jenseit des Stromes und in Ägypten gedient haben, und dienet Jehova.

Ahora pues, temed á Jehová, y servidle con integridad y en verdad; y quitad de en medio los dioses á los cuales sirvieron vuestros padres de esotra parte del río, y en Egipto; y servid á Jehová.

Und wenn es übel ist in euren Augen, Jehova zu dienen, so erwählet euch heute, wem ihr dienen wollt, ob den Göttern, welchen eure Väter gedient haben, die jenseit des Stromes wohnten, oder den Göttern der Amoriter, in deren Land ihr wohnet. Ich aber und mein Haus, wir wollen Jehova dienen!

Y si mal os parece servir á Jehová, escogeos hoy á quién sirváis; si á los dioses á quienes sirvieron vuestros padres, cuando estuvieron de esotra parte del río, ó á los dioses de los Amorrheos en cuya tierra habitáis: que yo y mi casa serviremos á Jehová.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Und das Volk antwortete und sprach: Fern sei es von uns, Jehova zu verlassen, um anderen Göttern zu dienen!

Denn Jehova, unser Gott, ist es, der uns und unsere Väter aus dem Lande Ägypten, aus dem Hause der Knechtschaft, heraufgeführt hat, und der vor unseren Augen diese großen Zeichen getan und uns behütet hat auf dem ganzen Wege, auf dem wir gegangen, und unter all den Völkern, durch deren Mitte wir gezogen sind.

Porque Jehová nuestro Dios es el que nos sacó á nosotros y á nuestros padres de la tierra de Egipto, de la casa de servidumbre; el cual delante de nuestros ojos ha hecho estas grandes señales, y nos ha guardado por todo el camino por donde hemos andado, y en todos los pueblos por entre los cuales pasamos.

For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:

Und Jehova hat alle Völker und die Amoriter, die Bewohner des Landes, vor uns vertrieben. Auch wir wollen Jehova dienen, denn er ist unser Gott!

Y Jehová echó de delante de nosotros á todos los pueblos, y al Amorrheo que habitaba en la tierra: nosotros, pues, también serviremos á Jehová, porque él es nuestro Dios.

Und Josua sprach zu dem Volke: Ihr könnet Jehova nicht dienen; denn er ist ein heiliger Gott, er ist ein eifernder Gott; er wird eure Übertretung und eure Sünden nicht vergeben.

Entonces Josué dijo al pueblo: No podréis servir á Jehová, porque él es Dios santo, y Dios celoso; no sufrirá vuestras rebeliones y vuestros pecados.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

Wenn ihr Jehova verlasset und fremden Göttern dienet, so wird er sich wenden und euch Übles tun und euch vernichten, nachdem er euch Gutes getan hat.

Si dejareis á Jehová y sirviereis á dioses ajenos, se volverá, y os maltratará, y os consumirá, después que os ha hecho bien.

If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.

Und das Volk sprach zu Josua: Nein, sondern Jehova wollen wir dienen!

El pueblo entonces dijo á Josué: No, antes á Jehová serviremos.

And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.

Da sprach Josua zu dem Volke: Ihr seid Zeugen gegen euch, daß ihr selbst euch Jehova erwählt habt, um ihm zu dienen. Und sie sprachen: Wir sind Zeugen!

Y Josué respondió al pueblo: Vosotros sois testigos contra vosotros mismos, de que os habéis elegido á Jehová para servirle. Y ellos respondieron: Testigos somos.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.

So tut nun die fremden Götter hinweg, die in eurer Mitte sind, und neiget euer Herz zu Jehova, dem Gott Israels.

Quitad, pues, ahora los dioses ajenos que están entre vosotros, é inclinad vuestro corazón á Jehová Dios de Israel.

Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.

Und das Volk sprach zu Josua: Jehova, unserem Gott, wollen wir dienen und auf seine Stimme hören!

Und Josua machte einen Bund mit dem Volke an selbigem Tage und stellte ihm Satzung und Recht zu Sichem.

Und Josua entließ das Volk, einen jeden in sein Erbteil.
