Josué 24

Giosuè adunò pure tutte le tribù d’Israele in Sichem, e convocò gli anziani d’Israele, i capi, i giudici e gli ufficiali del popolo, i quali si presentarono davanti a Dio.

Y JUNTANDO Josué todas las tribus de Israel en Sichêm, llamó á los ancianos de Israel, y á sus príncipes, á sus jueces, y á sus oficiales; y presentáronse delante de Dios.

Poi Balak figliuolo di Tsippor, re di Moab, si levò a muover guerra ad Israele; e mandò a chiamare Balaam, figliuolo di Beor, perché vi maledicesse;

E mandai davanti a voi i calabroni, che li scacciarono d’innanzi a voi, com’era avvenuto dei due re Amorei: non fu per la tua spada ne per il tuo arco.

Y envié tábanos delante de vosotros, los cuales los echaron de delante de vosotros, á saber, á los dos reyes de los Amorrheos; no con tu espada, ni con tu arco.

E vi diedi una terra che voi non avevate lavorata, delle città che non avevate costruite; voi abitate in esse e mangiate del frutto delle vigne e degli uliveti che non avete piantati.

Y os dí la tierra por la cual nada trabajasteis, y las ciudades que no edificasteis, en las cuales moráis; y de las viñas y olivares que no plantasteis, coméis.

And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.

Or dunque temete l’Eterno, e servitelo con integrità e fedeltà; togliete via gli dèi ai quali i vostri padri servirono di là dal fiume, e in Egitto, e servite all’Eterno.

Ahora pues, temed á Jehová, y servidle con integridad y en verdad; y quitad de en medio los dioses á los cuales sirvieron vuestros padres de esotra parte del río, y en Egipto; y servid á Jehová.

E se vi par mal fatto servire all’Eterno, scegliete oggi a chi volete servire: o agli dèi ai quali i vostri padri servirono di là dal fiume, o agli dèi degli Amorei, nel paese de’ quali abitate; quanto a me e alla casa mia, serviremo all’Eterno”.

Y si mal os parece servir á Jehová, escogeos hoy á quién sirváis; si á los dioses á quienes sirvieron vuestros padres, cuando estuvieron de esotra parte del río, ó á los dioses de los Amorrheos en cuya tierra habitáis: que yo y mi casa serviremos á Jehová.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Allora il popolo rispose e disse: “Lungi da noi l’abbandonare l’Eterno per servire ad altri dèi!

Entonces el pueblo respondió, y dijo: Nunca tal acontezca, que dejemos á Jehová por servir á otros dioses:

Poiché l’Eterno, il nostro Dio, è quegli che ha fatto salir noi e i padri nostri fuor dal paese d’Egitto, dalla casa di schiavitù, che ha fatto quei grandi miracoli dinanzi agli occhi nostri, e ci ha protetti per tutto il viaggio che abbiam fatto, e in mezzo a tutti i popoli fra i quali siamo passati;

Porque Jehová nuestro Dios es el que nos sacó á nosotros y á nuestros padres de la tierra de Egipto, de la casa de servidumbre; el cual delante de nuestros ojos ha hecho estas grandes señales, y nos ha guardado por todo el camino por donde hemos andado, y en todos los pueblos por entre los cuales pasamos.

For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:

e l’Eterno ha cacciato d’innanzi a noi tutti questi popoli, e gli Amorei che abitavano il paese, anche noi serviremo all’Eterno, perch’egli e il nostro Dio”.

Y Jehová echó de delante de nosotros á todos los pueblos, y al Amorrheo que habitaba en la tierra: nosotros, pues, también serviremos á Jehová, porque él es nuestro Dios.

And the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.

E Giosuè disse al popolo: “Voi non potrete servire all’Eterno, perch’egli è un Dio santo, e un Dio geloso; egli non perdonerà le vostre trasgressioni e i vostri peccati.

Entonces Josué dijo al pueblo: No podréis servir á Jehová, porque él es Dios santo, y Dios celoso; no sufrirá vuestras rebeliones y vuestros pecados.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

Quando abbandonerete l’Eterno e servirete dèi stranieri, egli vi si volterà contro, vi farà del male e vi consumerà, dopo avervi fatto tanto bene”.

Si dejareis á Jehová y sirviereis á dioses ajenos, se volverá, y os maltratará, y os consumirá, después que os ha hecho bien.

If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.

E il popolo disse a Giosuè: “No! No! Noi serviremo l’Eterno”.

El pueblo entonces dijo á Josué: No, antes á Jehová serviremos.

And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.

E Giosuè disse al popolo: “Voi siete testimoni contro voi stessi, che vi siete scelto l’Eterno per servirgli!” Quelli risposero: “Siam testimoni!”

Y Josué respondió al pueblo: Vosotros sois testigos contra vosotros mismos, de que os habéis elegido á Jehová para servirle. Y ellos respondieron: Testigos somos.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.

E Giosuè: “Togliete dunque via gli dei stranieri che sono in mezzo a voi, e inclinate il cuor vostro all’Eterno, ch’è l’Iddio d’Israele!”

Quitad, pues, ahora los dioses ajenos que están entre vosotros, é inclinad vuestro corazón á Jehová Dios de Israel.

Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.

Il popolo rispose a Giosuè: “L’Eterno, il nostro Dio, è quello che serviremo, e alla sua voce ubbidiremo!”

Y el pueblo respondió á Josué: A Jehová nuestro Dios serviremos, y á su voz obedeceremos.

And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the LORD our God, and we will listen to his voice.”

Così Giosuè fermò in quel giorno un patto col popolo, e gli diede delle leggi e delle prescrizioni a Sichem.

Entonces Josué hizo alianza con el pueblo el mismo día, y púsole ordenanzas y leyes en Sichêm.

E Giosuè disse a tutto il popolo: “Ecco, questa pietra sarà una testimonianza contro di noi; perch’essa ha udito tutte le parole che l’Eterno ci ha dette; essa servirà quindi da testimonio contro di voi, affinché non rinneghiate il vostro Dio”.

And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.

Poi Giosuè rimandò il popolo, ognuno alla sua eredità.

E, dopo queste cose, avvenne che Giosuè, figliuolo di Nun, servo dell’Eterno, mori in età di centodieci anni,

e lo seppellirono nel territorio di sua proprietà a Timnat-Serah, che è nella contrada montuosa di Efraim, al nord della montagna di Gaash.

E Israele servì all’Eterno durante tutta la vita di Giosuè e durante tutta la vita degli anziani che sopravvissero a Giosuè, e che aveano conoscenza di tutte le opere che l’Eterno avea fatte per Israele.
