Josué 2

Da sandte Josua, der Sohn Nuns, von Sittim zwei Männer heimlich als Kundschafter aus und sprach: Gehet hin, besehet das Land und Jericho! Diese gingen hin und kamen in das Haus einer Dirne namens Rahab und legten sich daselbst nieder.

Y JOSUÉ, hijo de Nun, envió desde Sittim dos espías secretamente, diciéndoles: Andad, reconoced la tierra, y á Jericó. Los cuales fueron, y entráronse en casa de una mujer ramera que se llamaba Rahab, y posaron allí.

And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there.

Joshua the son of Nun secretly sent two men out of Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, including Jericho.” They went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and slept there.

Es ward aber dem König zu Jericho gesagt: Siehe, in dieser Nacht sind Männer von den Kindern Israel hereingekommen, das Land auszukundschaften!

Y fué dado aviso al rey de Jericó, diciendo: He aquí que hombres de los hijos de Israel han venido aquí esta noche á espiar la tierra.

And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country.

The king of Jericho was told, “Behold, men of the children of Israel came in here tonight to spy out the land.”

Da sandte der König von Jericho zu Rahab und ließ ihr sagen: Gib die Männer heraus, die zu dir in dein Haus gekommen sind; denn sie sind gekommen, das ganze Land auszukundschaften!

Entonces el rey de Jericó envió á decir á Rahab: Saca fuera los hombres que han venido á ti, y han entrado en tu casa; porque han venido á espiar toda la tierra.

And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country.

Jericho’s king sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered into your house; for they have come to spy out all the land.”

Das Weib hatte die beiden Männer genommen und verborgen und sprach nun: Es sind freilich Männer zu mir hereingekommen; aber ich wußte nicht, von wannen sie waren;

Mas la mujer había tomado los dos hombres, y los había escondido; y dijo: Verdad que hombres vinieron á mí, mas no supe de dónde eran:

And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:

The woman took the two men and hid them. Then she said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I didn’t know where they came from.

und als man die Tore zuschließen wollte, da es finster ward, gingen sie hinaus; ich weiß nicht, wohin sie gegangen sind. Jaget ihnen eilends nach, denn ihr werdet sie einholen!

Y al cerrarse la puerta, siendo ya oscuro, esos hombres se salieron, y no sé á dónde se han ido: seguidlos apriesa, que los alcanzaréis.

And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them.

About the time of the shutting of the gate, when it was dark, the men went out. Where the men went, I don’t know. Pursue them quickly. You may catch up with them.”

Sie aber ließ dieselben auf das Dach steigen und verbarg sie unter die Flachsstengel, die sie auf dem Dache ausgebreitet hatte.

Mas ella los había hecho subir al terrado, y habíalos escondido entre tascos de lino que en aquel terrado tenía puestos.

But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.

But she had brought them up to the roof, and hidden them under the stalks of flax which she had laid in order on the roof.

Und die Männer jagten ihnen nach auf dem Wege zum Jordan bis an die Furt; und man schloß das Tor zu, als die hinauswaren, die ihnen nachjagten.

Y los hombres fueron tras ellos por el camino del Jordán, hasta los vados: y la puerta fué cerrada después que salieron los que tras ellos iban.

And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.

The men pursued them along the way to the fords of the Jordan River. As soon as those who pursued them had gone out, they shut the gate.

Ehe aber die Männer sich schlafen legten, stieg sie zu ihnen auf das Dach hinauf

Mas antes que ellos durmiesen, ella subió á ellos al terrado, y díjoles:

And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof;

Before they had lain down, she came up to them on the roof.

und sprach zu ihnen: Ich weiß, daß euch der HERR das Land geben wird; denn es hat uns Furcht vor euch überfallen, und alle Einwohner des Landes sind vor euch verzagt.

Sé que Jehová os ha dado esta tierra; porque el temor de vosotros ha caído sobre nosotros, y todos los moradores del país están desmayados por causa de vosotros;

And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

She said to the men, “I know that the LORD has given you the land, and that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you.

Denn wir haben gehört, wie der HERR das Wasser des Schilfmeers vor euch ausgetrocknet hat, als ihr aus Ägypten zoget, und was ihr den beiden Königen der Amoriter, Sihon und Og, jenseits des Jordan getan habt, an denen ihr den Bann vollstreckt habt.

Porque hemos oído que Jehová hizo secar las aguas del mar Bermejo delante de vosotros, cuando salisteis de Egipto, y lo que habéis hecho á los dos reyes de los Amorrheos que estaban de la parte allá del Jordán, á Sehón y á Og, á los cuales habéis destruído.

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and to Og, whom you utterly destroyed.

Und da wir solches hörten, ist unser Herz verzagt geworden, und es ist kein rechter Mut mehr in irgend jemand vor euch; denn der HERR, euer Gott, ist Gott oben im Himmel und unten auf Erden.

Oyendo esto, ha desmayado nuestro corazón; ni ha quedado más espíritu en alguno por causa de vosotros: porque Jehová vuestro Dios es Dios arriba en los cielos y abajo en la tierra.

And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

As soon as we had heard it, our hearts melted, and there wasn’t any more spirit in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.

Und nun schwöret mir doch bei dem HERRN, daß, wie ich an euch Barmherzigkeit getan, auch ihr an meines Vaters Haus Barmherzigkeit beweisen wollet, und gebet mir ein sicheres Zeichen,

Ruégoos pues ahora, me juréis por Jehová, que como he hecho misericordia con vosotros, así la haréis vosotros con la casa de mi padre, de lo cual me daréis una señal cierta;

Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father’s house, and give me a true token:

Now therefore, please swear to me by the LORD, since I have dealt kindly with you, that you also will deal kindly with my father’s house, and give me a true sign;

daß ihr meinen Vater, meine Mutter, meine Brüder und meine Schwestern samt allen ihren Angehörigen am Leben lassen und unsre Seele vom Tode erretten wollt.

Y que salvaréis la vida á mi padre y á mi madre, y á mis hermanos y hermanas, y á todo lo que es suyo; y que libraréis nuestras vidas de la muerte.

And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.

and that you will save alive my father, my mother, my brothers, and my sisters, and all that they have, and will deliver our lives from death.”

Die Männer sprachen zu ihr: Unsere Seele soll an eurer Statt des Todes sein, sofern ihr diese unsere Sache nicht verratet! Und wenn der HERR uns dieses Land gibt, so wollen wir an dir Barmherzigkeit und Treue beweisen!

Y ellos le respondieron: Nuestra alma por vosotros hasta la muerte, si no denunciareis este nuestro negocio: y cuando Jehová nos hubiere dado la tierra, nosotros haremos contigo misericordia y verdad.

And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

The men said to her, “Our life for yours, if you don’t talk about this business of ours; and it shall be, when the LORD gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”

Da ließ sie dieselben an einem Seil durch das Fenster hinunter; denn ihr Haus war an der Stadtmauer, und sie wohnte an der Mauer.

Entonces ella los hizo descender con una cuerda por la ventana; porque su casa estaba á la pared del muro, y ella vivía en el muro.

Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall.

Then she let them down by a cord through the window; for her house was on the side of the wall, and she lived on the wall.

Und sie sprach zu ihnen: Gehet auf das Gebirge, daß euch eure Verfolger nicht begegnen, und verberget euch daselbst drei Tage lang, bis eure Verfolger zurückgekehrt sind; darnach geht eures Weges!

Y díjoles: Marchaos al monte, porque los que fueron tras vosotros no os encuentren; y estad escondidos allí tres días, hasta que los que os siguen hayan vuelto; y después os iréis vuestro camino.

And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.

She said to them, “Go to the mountain, lest the pursuers find you. Hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers have returned. Afterward, you may go your way.”

Und die Männer sprachen zu ihr: Wir wollen aber dieses deines Eides los sein, den du uns hast schwören lassen:

Y ellos le dijeron: Nosotros seremos desobligados de este juramento con que nos has conjurado.

And the men said unto her, We will be blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear.

The men said to her, “We will be guiltless of this your oath which you’ve made us to swear.

siehe, wenn wir in das Land kommen, so sollst du dieses karmesinrote Seil, womit du uns hinabgelassen hast, in das Fenster knüpfen, und deinen Vater, deine Mutter, deine Brüder und deines Vaters ganzes Haus zu dir in das Haus versammeln.

He aquí, cuando nosotros entráremos en la tierra, tú atarás este cordón de grana á la ventana por la cual nos descolgaste: y tú juntarás en tu casa tu padre y tu madre, tus hermanos y toda la familia de tu padre.

Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.

Behold, when we come into the land, tie this line of scarlet thread in the window which you used to let us down. Gather to yourself into the house your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household.

Und wer zur Tür deines Hauses hinaus auf die Straße geht, desselben Blut sei auf seinem Haupt, wir aber unschuldig; wenn aber an jemand von denen, die bei dir im Hause sind, Hand gelegt wird, so soll ihr Blut auf unserm Haupte sein.

Cualquiera que saliere fuera de las puertas de tu casa, su sangre será sobre su cabeza, y nosotros sin culpa. Mas cualquiera que se estuviere en casa contigo, su sangre será sobre nuestra cabeza, si mano le tocare.

And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

It shall be that whoever goes out of the doors of your house into the street, his blood will be on his head, and we will be guiltless. Whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand is on him.

Auch wenn du etwas von dieser unserer Sache aussagen wirst, so wollen wir deines Eides los sein, den du uns hast schwören lassen.

Y si tú denunciares este nuestro negocio, nosotros seremos desobligados de este tu juramento con que nos has juramentado.

And if thou utter this our business, then we will be quit of thine oath which thou hast made us to swear.

But if you talk about this business of ours, then we shall be guiltless of your oath which you’ve made us to swear.”

Sie sprach: Es sei, wir ihr saget! und ließ sie gehen. Und sie gingen hin; sie aber knüpfte das karmesinrote Seil ins Fenster.

Y ella respondió: Sea así como habéis dicho. Luego los despidió, y se fueron: y ella ató el cordón de grana á la ventana.

And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.

She said, “Let it be as you have said.” She sent them away, and they departed. Then she tied the scarlet line in the window.

Und jene gingen aufs Gebirge und blieben drei Tage lang daselbst, bis ihre Verfolger zurückgekehrt waren; diese hatten sie auf allen Straßen gesucht und doch nicht gefunden.

Y caminando ellos, llegaron al monte, y estuvieron allí tres días, hasta que los que los seguían se hubiesen vuelto: y los que los siguieron, buscaron por todo el camino, mas no los hallaron.

And they went, and came unto the mountain, and abode there three days, until the pursuers were returned: and the pursuers sought them throughout all the way, but found them not.

They went and came to the mountain, and stayed there three days, until the pursuers had returned. The pursuers sought them all along the way, but didn’t find them.

Also stiegen die beiden Männer wieder vom Gebirge hinunter, setzten über und kamen zu Josua, dem Sohne Nuns, und erzählten ihm alles, wie sie es gefunden hatten,

Y tornándose los dos varones, descendieron del monte, y pasaron, y vinieron á Josué hijo de Nun, y contáronle todas las cosas que les habían acontecido.

So the two men returned, and descended from the mountain, and passed over, and came to Joshua the son of Nun, and told him all things that befell them:

Then the two men returned, descended from the mountain, crossed the river, and came to Joshua the son of Nun. They told him all that had happened to them.

und sprachen zu Josua: Der HERR hat das ganze Land in unsre Hände gegeben; auch sind alle Einwohner verzagt vor uns!

Y dijeron á Josué: Jehová ha entregado toda la tierra en nuestras manos; y también todos los moradores del país están desmayados delante de nosotros.

And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.

They said to Joshua, “Truly the LORD has delivered all the land into our hands. Moreover, all the inhabitants of the land melt away before us.”
