Quando todo o povo cruzou o Jordão, Yahweh disse a Josué:
Y CUANDO toda la gente hubo acabado de pasar el Jordán, Jehová habló á Josué, diciendo:
And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
When all the nation had completely crossed over the Jordan, the LORD spoke to Joshua, saying,
"Escolhe doze homens dentre o povo, um homem de cada tribo.
Tomad del pueblo doce hombres, de cada tribu uno,
Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,
“Take twelve men out of the people, a man out of every tribe,
Ordena-lhes: 'Pegai doze pedras do meio do Jordão, de onde os sacerdotes estão parados em terra seca, trazei-as convosco e deixai-as no lugar onde passareis esta noite'".
Y mandadles, diciendo: Tomaos de aquí del medio del Jordán, del lugar donde están firmes los pies de los sacerdotes, doce piedras, las cuales pasaréis con vosotros, y las asentaréis en el alojamiento donde habéis de tener la noche.
And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.

Então, Josué chamou os doze homens que escolhera dentre as tribos de Israel, um de cada tribo.
Entonces Josué llamó á los doce hombres, los cuales había él ordenado de entre los hijos de Israel, de cada tribu uno;

Josué disse-lhes: "Ide adiante da Arca de Yahweh, vosso Deus, no meio do Jordão. Cada um de vós tomará uma pedra em vossos ombros, de acordo com o número de tribos do povo de Israel.
Y díjoles Josué: Pasad delante del arca de Jehová vuestro Dios al medio del Jordán; y cada uno de vosotros tome una piedra sobre su hombro, conforme al número de las tribus de los hijos de Israel;
And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:
Joshua said to them, “Cross before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you pick up a stone and put it on your shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;
Isto será um sinal no meio de vós, e quando, nos dias vindouros, vossos filhos perguntarem: 'O que estas pedras significam para vós?'
Para que esto sea señal entre vosotros; y cuando vuestros hijos preguntaren á sus padres mañana, diciendo: ¿Qué os significan estas piedras?
That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
that this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask in the future, saying, ‘What do you mean by these stones?’
direis a eles: 'As águas do Jordão foram divididas diante da Arca da Aliança de Yahweh. Quando esta passou pelo Jordão, as águas do Jordão foram divididas. Assim, estas pedras serão um memorial para o povo de Israel, eternamente”.
Les responderéis: Que las aguas del Jordán fueron partidas delante del arca del pacto de Jehová; cuando ella pasó el Jordán, las aguas del Jordán se partieron: y estas piedras serán por memoria á los hijos de Israel para siempre.
Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.

O povo de Israel fez como Josué ordenara: eles pegaram doze pedras do meio do Jordão, assim como Yahweh dissera a Josué. Então, eles as contaram conforme o número de tribos do povo de Israel, carregaram-nas consigo para o lugar onde acamparam, e as colocaram ali.
Y los hijos de Israel lo hicieron así como Josué les mandó: que levantaron doce piedras del medio del Jordán, como Jehová lo había dicho á Josué, conforme al número de las tribus de los hijos de Israel, y pasáronlas consigo al alojamiento, y las asentaron allí.

Os sacerdotes que carregavam a Arca permaneceram no meio do Jordão até que tudo o que Yahweh ordenara que Josué dissesse ao povo fosse cumprido, de acordo com tudo o que Moisés havia ordenado a Josué. O povo se apressou e atravessou.

A tribo de Rúben, a tribo de Gade, e a meia tribo de Manassés passaram como um exército, diante do povo de Israel, assim como Moisés dissera a eles.

Naquele dia, Yahweh fez Josué grande aos olhos de todo o Israel. Eles o honraram, assim como honraram a Moisés, por todos os dias da sua vida.
En aquel día Jehová engrandeció á Josué en ojos de todo Israel: y temiéronle, como habían temido á Moisés, todos los días de su vida.

Quando os sacerdotes que carregavam a Arca da Aliança de Yahweh saíram do meio do Jordão, e as solas de seus pés pisaram em terra seca, as águas do Jordão retornaram ao seu lugar e transbordaram até as margens, exatamente como eram quatro dias antes.
