Entre tanto Jericó estaba cerrada y bien pertrechada por temor de los hijos de Israel, y nadie osaba salir ni entrar.

EMPERO Jericó estaba cerrada, bien cerrada, á causa de los hijos de Israel: nadie entraba, ni salía.

Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

Now Jericho was tightly shut up because of the children of Israel. No one went out, and no one came in.
