Josué 7

Les enfants d'Israël commirent une infidélité au sujet de l'anathème. Achan, fils de Charmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zaré, de la tribu de Juda, prit des choses dévouées, et la colère de Yahweh s'enflamma contre les enfants d'Israël.

EMPERO los hijos de Israel cometieron prevaricación en el anatema: porque Achân, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá, tomó del anatema; y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra los hijos de Israel.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the devoted things; for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. Therefore the LORD’s anger burned against the children of Israel.

Josué envoya de Jéricho des hommes vers Haï, qui est près de Beth-Aven, à l'orient de Béthel ; il leur dit : « Montez et explorez le pays. » Ces hommes montèrent et explorèrent Haï.

Y Josué envió hombres desde Jericó á Hai, que estaba junto á Beth-aven hacia el oriente de Beth-el; y hablóles diciendo: Subid, y reconoced la tierra. Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron á Hai.

And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-aven, on the east side of Beth-el, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai.

Revenus auprès de Josué, ils lui dirent : « Que le peuple ne monte pas tout entier ! Deux mille hommes ou trois mille hommes n'ont qu'à monter et ils battront Haï ; ne fatigue pas tout le peuple pour cette ville, car ses habitants sont peu nombreux. »

Y volviendo á Josué, dijéronle: No suba todo el pueblo, mas suban como dos mil ó como tres mil hombres, y tomarán á Hai: no fatigues á todo el pueblo allí, porque son pocos.

And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.

They returned to Joshua, and said to him, “Don’t let all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and strike Ai. Don’t make all the people to toil there, for there are only a few of them.”

Environ trois mille hommes du peuple y montèrent, mais ils prirent la fuite devant les hommes d'Haï.

Y subieron allá del pueblo como tres mil hombres, los cuales huyeron delante de los de Hai.

So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.

Les gens d'Haï leur tuèrent environ trente-six hommes ; ils les poursuivirent depuis la porte jusqu'à Sabarim, et les battirent à la descente. Et le cœur du peuple se fondit et il perdit tout courage.

Y los de Hai hirieron de ellos como treinta y seis hombres, y siguiéronlos desde la puerta hasta Sebarim, y los rompieron en la bajada: por lo que se disolvió el corazón del pueblo, y vino á ser como agua.

And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

The men of Ai struck about thirty-six men of them. They chased them from before the gate even to Shebarim, and struck them at the descent. The hearts of the people melted, and became like water.

Josué déchira ses vêtements et se prosterna, le visage contre terre, devant l'arche de Yahweh, jusqu'au soir, lui et les anciens d'Israël, et ils jetèrent de la poussière sur leur tête.

Entonces Josué rompió sus vestidos, y postróse en tierra sobre su rostro delante del arca de Jehová hasta la tarde, él y los ancianos de Israel; y echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas.

And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

Josué dit : « Ah ! Seigneur Yahweh, pourquoi avez-vous fait passer le Jourdain à ce peuple, pour nous livrer entre les mains des Amorrhéens, afin de nous faire périr ? Que n'avons-nous su rester de l'autre côté du Jourdain !

Y Josué dijo: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! ¿Por qué hiciste pasar á este pueblo el Jordán, para entregarnos en las manos de los Amorrheos, que nos destruyan? ¡Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado de la otra parte del Jordán!

And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!

Joshua said, “Alas, Lord GOD, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to cause us to perish? I wish that we had been content and lived beyond the Jordan!

De grâce, Seigneur, que dirai-je, après qu'Israël a tourné le dos devant ses ennemis ?

¡Ay Señor! ¿qué diré, ya que Israel ha vuelto las espaldas delante de sus enemigos?

O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies!

Oh, Lord, what shall I say, after Israel has turned their backs before their enemies?

Les Chananéens et tous les habitants du pays l'apprendront ; ils nous envelopperont et feront disparaître notre nom de la terre. Et que ferez-vous pour votre grand nom ? »

Porque los Cananeos y todos los moradores de la tierra oirán, y nos cercarán, y raerán nuestro nombre de sobre la tierra: entonces ¿qué harás tú á tu grande nombre?

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

Yahweh dit à Josué : « Lève-toi ! Pourquoi es-tu ainsi tombé sur ta face ?

Y Jehová dijo á Josué: Levántate; ¿por qué te postras así sobre tu rostro?

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?

The LORD said to Joshua, “Get up! Why have you fallen on your face like that?

Israël a péché, jusqu'à transgresser mon alliance que je leur ai prescrite d'observer, jusqu'à prendre des choses vouées par l'anathème, à les dérober, à mentir et à les cacher dans leurs bagages !

Israel ha pecado, y aun han quebrantado mi pacto que yo les había mandado; pues aun han tomado del anatema, y hasta han hurtado, y también han mentido, y aun lo han guardado entre sus enseres.

Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken some of the devoted things, and have also stolen, and also deceived. They have even put it among their own stuff.

Aussi les enfants d'Israël ne peuvent tenir devant leurs ennemis ; mais ils tournent le dos devant leurs ennemis, car ils sont devenus anathème. Je ne serai plus avec vous désormais, si vous n'ôtez pas l'anathème du milieu de vous.

Por esto los hijos de Israel no podrán estar delante de sus enemigos, sino que delante de sus enemigos volverán las espaldas; por cuanto han venido á ser anatema: ni seré más con vosotros, si no destruyereis el anatema de en medio de vosotros.

Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

Therefore the children of Israel can’t stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will not be with you any more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.

Lève-toi, sanctifie le peuple et dis-leur : Sanctifiez-vous pour demain ; car ainsi parle Yahweh, le Dieu d'Israël : Il y a un anathème au milieu de toi, Israël ; tu ne pourras point tenir devant tes ennemis, jusqu'à ce que vous ayez ôté l'anathème du milieu de vous.

Levántate, santifica al pueblo, y di: Santificaos para mañana; porque Jehová el Dios de Israel dice así: Anatema hay en medio de ti, Israel; no podrás estar delante de tus enemigos, hasta tanto que hayáis quitado el anatema de en medio de vosotros.

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

Get up! Sanctify the people, and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, for the LORD, the God of Israel, says, “There is a devoted thing among you, Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted thing from among you.”

Vous vous approcherez le matin selon vos tribus, et la tribu que Yahweh aura saisie s'approchera par familles, et la famille que Yahweh aura saisie s'approchera par maisons, et la maison que Yahweh aura saisie s'approchera par têtes.

Os allegaréis, pues, mañana por vuestras tribus; y la tribu que Jehová tomare, se allegará por sus familias; y la familia que Jehová tomare, se allegará por sus casas; y la casa que Jehová tomare, allegaráse por los varones;

In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man.

In the morning therefore you shall be brought near by your tribes. It shall be that the tribe which the LORD selects shall come near by families. The family which the LORD selects shall come near by households. The household which the LORD selects shall come near man by man.

Celui qui sera saisi comme atteint par l'anathème sera consumé par le feu, lui et tout ce qui lui appartient, parce qu'il transgresse l'alliance de Yahweh et commet une infamie en Israël. »

Y el que fuere cogido en el anatema, será quemado á fuego, él y todo lo que tiene, por cuanto ha quebrantado el pacto de Jehová, y ha cometido maldad en Israel.

And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.

It shall be, that he who is taken with the devoted thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the LORD’s covenant, and because he has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.’”

Le lendemain, Josué se leva de bon matin et fit approcher Israël selon ses tribus, et la tribu de Juda fut saisie.

Josué, pues, levantándose de mañana, hizo allegar á Israel por sus tribus; y fué tomada la tribu de Judá;

So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:

Il fit approcher les familles de Juda, et la famille de Zaré fut saisie. Il fit approcher la famille de Zaré par maisons, et Zabdi fut saisi.

Y haciendo allegar la tribu de Judá, fué tomada la familia de los de Zera; haciendo luego allegar la familia de los de Zera por los varones, fué tomado Zabdi;

And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken:

He brought near the family of Judah, and he selected the family of the Zerahites. He brought near the family of the Zerahites man by man, and Zabdi was selected.

Il fit approcher la maison de Zabdi par têtes, et Achan, fils de Charmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zaré, de la tribu de Juda, fut saisi.

E hizo allegar su casa por los varones, y fué tomado Achân, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá.

And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

He brought near his household man by man, and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was selected.

Josué dit à Achan : « Mon fils, donne gloire, je te prie, à Yahweh, le Dieu d'Israël, et rends-lui hommage. Avoue-moi ce que tu as fait, ne me le cache point. »

Entonces Josué dijo á Achân: Hijo mío, da gloria ahora á Jehová el Dios de Israel, y dale alabanza, y declárame ahora lo que has hecho; no me lo encubras.

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

Joshua said to Achan, “My son, please give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”

Achan répondit à Josué et dit : « C'est la vérité ; c'est moi qui ai péché contre Yahweh, le Dieu d'Israël ; voici ce que j'ai fait :

Y Achân respondió á Josué, diciendo: Verdaderamente yo he pecado contra Jehová el Dios de Israel, y he hecho así y así:

And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:

Achan answered Joshua, and said, “I have truly sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done.

J'ai vu parmi les dépouilles un beau manteau de Sennaar, deux cents sicles d'argent, et un lingot d'or du poids de cinquante sicles ; je les ai convoités et je les ai pris ; ils sont cachés dans la terre au milieu de ma tente, et l'argent est dessous. »

Que vi entre los despojos un manto babilónico muy bueno, y doscientos siclos de plata, y un changote de oro de peso de cincuenta siclos; lo cual codicié, y tomé: y he aquí que está escondido debajo de tierra en el medio de mi tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello.

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

When I saw among the plunder a beautiful Babylonian robe, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, then I coveted them and took them. Behold, they are hidden in the ground in the middle of my tent, with the silver under it.”

Josué envoya des messagers qui coururent à la tente, et voici, les objets étaient cachés dans la tente d'Achan, et l'argent était dessous.

Josué entonces envió mensajeros, los cuales fueron corriendo á la tienda; y he aquí estaba escondido en su tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello:

So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.

Les ayant pris du milieu de la tente, ils les apportèrent à Josué et à tous les enfants d'Israël, et les déposèrent devant Yahweh.

Y tomándolo de en medio de la tienda, trajéronlo á Josué y á todos los hijos de Israel, y pusiéronlo delante de Jehová.

And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD.

They took them from the middle of the tent, and brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel. They laid them down before the LORD.

Josué et tout Israël avec lui prirent Achan, fils de Zaré, l'argent, le manteau, le lingot d'or, les fils et les filles d'Achan, ses bœufs, ses ânes, ses brebis, sa tente et tout ce qui lui appartenait, et il les firent monter dans la vallée d'Achor.

Entonces Josué, y todo Israel con él, tomó á Achân hijo de Zera, y el dinero, y el manto, y el changote de oro, y sus hijos, y sus hijas, y sus bueyes, y sus asnos, y sus ovejas, y su tienda, y todo cuanto tenía, y lleváronlo todo al valle de Achôr;

And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.

Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his cattle, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up to the valley of Achor.

Là Josué dit : « Pourquoi nous as-tu troublés ? Yahweh te troublera aujourd'hui. » Et tout Israël le lapida. On les consuma par le feu, et on les lapida.

Y dijo Josué: ¿Por qué nos has turbado? Túrbete Jehová en este día. Y todos los Israelitas los apedrearon, y los quemaron á fuego, después de apedrearlos con piedras;

And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? The LORD will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

Et on éleva sur Achan un grand monceau de pierres, qui subsiste encore aujourd'hui. Et Yahweh revint de l'ardeur de sa colère. — A cause de cet événement, on a appelé ce lieu vallée d'Achor jusqu'à ce jour.

Y levantaron sobre él un gran montón de piedras, hasta hoy. Y Jehová se tornó de la ira de su furor. Y por esto fué llamado aquel lugar el Valle de Achôr, hasta hoy.

And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.
