Josué 7

Mais les Israélites se rendirent coupables d'une violation de l'anathème: Akhan, fils de Carmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zérah, de la tribu de Juda, s'appropria quelque chose des objets interdits, ce qui attira la colère divine sur les enfants d'Israël.

EMPERO los hijos de Israel cometieron prevaricación en el anatema: porque Achân, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá, tomó del anatema; y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra los hijos de Israel.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the devoted things; for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. Therefore the LORD’s anger burned against the children of Israel.

Josué envoya, de Jéricho, des hommes vers Aï, ville voisine de Beth-Avên, à l'orient de Béthel, en leur disant: "Allez explorer cette région." Et ces hommes allèrent explorer Aï.

Y Josué envió hombres desde Jericó á Hai, que estaba junto á Beth-aven hacia el oriente de Beth-el; y hablóles diciendo: Subid, y reconoced la tierra. Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron á Hai.

And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-aven, on the east side of Beth-el, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai.

Revenus auprès de Josué, ils lui dirent: "Il ne faut pas que le peuple entier y monte; deux ou trois mille hommes suffisent pour triompher d'Aï. Ne fatigue pas tout le peuple à cette expédition, car ils sont peu nombreux."

Y volviendo á Josué, dijéronle: No suba todo el pueblo, mas suban como dos mil ó como tres mil hombres, y tomarán á Hai: no fatigues á todo el pueblo allí, porque son pocos.

And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.

They returned to Joshua, and said to him, “Don’t let all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and strike Ai. Don’t make all the people to toil there, for there are only a few of them.”

Environ trois mille hommes du peuple y furent donc envoyés; mais ils lâchèrent pied devant les habitants d'Aï.

Y subieron allá del pueblo como tres mil hombres, los cuales huyeron delante de los de Hai.

So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.

Ceux-ci leur tuèrent trente-six hommes, les poursuivirent depuis la porte de la ville jusqu'à Chebarim, et les défirent sur le versant de la colline. Alors, le coeur du peuple défaillit et se fondit en eau.

Y los de Hai hirieron de ellos como treinta y seis hombres, y siguiéronlos desde la puerta hasta Sebarim, y los rompieron en la bajada: por lo que se disolvió el corazón del pueblo, y vino á ser como agua.

And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

The men of Ai struck about thirty-six men of them. They chased them from before the gate even to Shebarim, and struck them at the descent. The hearts of the people melted, and became like water.

Josué déchira ses vêtements, se jeta face contre terre devant l'arche de l'Eternel et resta ainsi jusqu'au soir, ainsi que les anciens d'Israël, et ils répandirent de la poussière sur leurs têtes.

Entonces Josué rompió sus vestidos, y postróse en tierra sobre su rostro delante del arca de Jehová hasta la tarde, él y los ancianos de Israel; y echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas.

And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

Et Josué dit: "Ah! Seigneur, Elohim! Pourquoi as-tu fait traverser le Jourdain à ce peuple, pour nous livrer au pouvoir des Amorréens, pour nous faire périr? Que ne sommes-nous, de préférence, restés sur l'autre bord du Jourdain!

Y Josué dijo: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! ¿Por qué hiciste pasar á este pueblo el Jordán, para entregarnos en las manos de los Amorrheos, que nos destruyan? ¡Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado de la otra parte del Jordán!

And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!

Joshua said, “Alas, Lord GOD, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to cause us to perish? I wish that we had been content and lived beyond the Jordan!

De grâce, Seigneur, que dirai-je, après qu'Israël a tourné le dos à ses ennemis?

¡Ay Señor! ¿qué diré, ya que Israel ha vuelto las espaldas delante de sus enemigos?

O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies!

Oh, Lord, what shall I say, after Israel has turned their backs before their enemies?

Ils l'apprendront, les Cananéens et les autres habitants du pays, et ils vont se jeter sur nous, et effacer notre nom de la terre... Ne feras-tu rien pour ton nom glorieux à toi?"

Porque los Cananeos y todos los moradores de la tierra oirán, y nos cercarán, y raerán nuestro nombre de sobre la tierra: entonces ¿qué harás tú á tu grande nombre?

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

L'Eternel dit à Josué: "Relève-toi! Pourquoi rester ainsi couché sur ta face?

Y Jehová dijo á Josué: Levántate; ¿por qué te postras así sobre tu rostro?

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?

The LORD said to Joshua, “Get up! Why have you fallen on your face like that?

Israël a péché! II a violé le pacte que je lui avais imposé! Oui, on a pris de ce qui était anathème, on l'a volé, on l'a dissimulé, on l'a enfoui parmi ses bagages!

Israel ha pecado, y aun han quebrantado mi pacto que yo les había mandado; pues aun han tomado del anatema, y hasta han hurtado, y también han mentido, y aun lo han guardado entre sus enseres.

Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken some of the devoted things, and have also stolen, and also deceived. They have even put it among their own stuff.

Eh bien! Les Israélites ne pourront plus tenir devant leurs ennemis, désormais ils leur tourneront le dos, ils sont sous le poids de l'anathème! Non, je ne serai plus avec vous, si vous ne faites disparaître du milieu de vous l'objet de l'anathème!

Por esto los hijos de Israel no podrán estar delante de sus enemigos, sino que delante de sus enemigos volverán las espaldas; por cuanto han venido á ser anatema: ni seré más con vosotros, si no destruyereis el anatema de en medio de vosotros.

Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

Therefore the children of Israel can’t stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will not be with you any more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.

Va, sanctifie le peuple en lui disant: Sanctifiez-vous pour demain, car ainsi a parlé l'Eternel, Dieu d'Israël: L'anathème est dans ton sein, Israël! Tu ne pourras pas résister à tes ennemis, tant que tu ne l'auras pas extirpé de ton sein!

Levántate, santifica al pueblo, y di: Santificaos para mañana; porque Jehová el Dios de Israel dice así: Anatema hay en medio de ti, Israel; no podrás estar delante de tus enemigos, hasta tanto que hayáis quitado el anatema de en medio de vosotros.

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

Get up! Sanctify the people, and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, for the LORD, the God of Israel, says, “There is a devoted thing among you, Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted thing from among you.”

Vous vous avancerez donc, demain matin, par tribus; et alors, la tribu que l'Eternel aura désignée s'avancera par familles, et la famille que l'Eternel aura désignée s'avancera par groupes, et le groupe désigné s'avancera par individus.

Os allegaréis, pues, mañana por vuestras tribus; y la tribu que Jehová tomare, se allegará por sus familias; y la familia que Jehová tomare, se allegará por sus casas; y la casa que Jehová tomare, allegaráse por los varones;

In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man.

In the morning therefore you shall be brought near by your tribes. It shall be that the tribe which the LORD selects shall come near by families. The family which the LORD selects shall come near by households. The household which the LORD selects shall come near man by man.

Et l'individu désigné comme ayant violé l'anathème sera livré au feu, lui et tout ce qui lui appartient, pour avoir transgressé l'alliance du Seigneur et commis un acte déshonorant, en Israël!"

Y el que fuere cogido en el anatema, será quemado á fuego, él y todo lo que tiene, por cuanto ha quebrantado el pacto de Jehová, y ha cometido maldad en Israel.

And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.

It shall be, that he who is taken with the devoted thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the LORD’s covenant, and because he has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.’”

Dès le lendemain matin, Josué fit avancer Israël par tribus, et c'est la tribu de Juda qui se trouva prise.

Josué, pues, levantándose de mañana, hizo allegar á Israel por sus tribus; y fué tomada la tribu de Judá;

So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:

Puis il fit approcher les familles de Juda, et le sort frappa la famille de Zérah; puis il fit passer cette famille par groupes d'individus, et Zabdi fut pris.

Y haciendo allegar la tribu de Judá, fué tomada la familia de los de Zera; haciendo luego allegar la familia de los de Zera por los varones, fué tomado Zabdi;

And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken:

He brought near the family of Judah, and he selected the family of the Zerahites. He brought near the family of the Zerahites man by man, and Zabdi was selected.

Et quand on eut fait défiler les siens, homme à homme, le sort désigna Akhan, fils de Carmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zérah, de la tribu de Juda.

E hizo allegar su casa por los varones, y fué tomado Achân, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá.

And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

Josué dit à Akhan: "Mon fils, reconnais la gloire de l'Eternel, Dieu d'Israël, et rends-lui hommage; déclare-moi, je te prie, ce que tu as fait, ne me cache rien."

Entonces Josué dijo á Achân: Hijo mío, da gloria ahora á Jehová el Dios de Israel, y dale alabanza, y declárame ahora lo que has hecho; no me lo encubras.

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

Joshua said to Achan, “My son, please give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”

Akhan répondit à Josué: "C'est vrai,j'ai péché envers l'Eternel, Dieu d'Israël, et voici ce que j'ai fait.

Y Achân respondió á Josué, diciendo: Verdaderamente yo he pecado contra Jehová el Dios de Israel, y he hecho así y así:

And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:

Achan answered Joshua, and said, “I have truly sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done.

Avisant, parmi le butin, un beau manteau de Sennaar, deux cents sicles d'argent, un lingot d'or du poids de cinquante sicles, j'en ai eu envie et m'en suis emparé; ces objets sont enfouis en terre dans ma tente, l'argent par dessous."

Que vi entre los despojos un manto babilónico muy bueno, y doscientos siclos de plata, y un changote de oro de peso de cincuenta siclos; lo cual codicié, y tomé: y he aquí que está escondido debajo de tierra en el medio de mi tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello.

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

When I saw among the plunder a beautiful Babylonian robe, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, then I coveted them and took them. Behold, they are hidden in the ground in the middle of my tent, with the silver under it.”

Et Josué dépêcha des envoyés, qui coururent à la tente; le larcin y était caché, et l'argent par dessous.

Josué entonces envió mensajeros, los cuales fueron corriendo á la tienda; y he aquí estaba escondido en su tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello:

So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.

Ils emportèrent le tout de la tente, le présentèrent à Josué et à tous les enfants d'Israël, et on le versa devant Dieu.

Y tomándolo de en medio de la tienda, trajéronlo á Josué y á todos los hijos de Israel, y pusiéronlo delante de Jehová.

And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD.

They took them from the middle of the tent, and brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel. They laid them down before the LORD.

Alors Josué fit saisir Akhan, le descendant de Zérah, ainsi que l'argent, le manteau et le lingot d'or, ainsi que ses fils et ses filles, ses boeufs, ses ânes, son menu bétail, sa tente et tous ses biens, et, suivi de tout Israël, il les conduisit dans la vallée d'Akhor.

Entonces Josué, y todo Israel con él, tomó á Achân hijo de Zera, y el dinero, y el manto, y el changote de oro, y sus hijos, y sus hijas, y sus bueyes, y sus asnos, y sus ovejas, y su tienda, y todo cuanto tenía, y lleváronlo todo al valle de Achôr;

And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.

Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his cattle, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up to the valley of Achor.

Et Josué lui dit: "Le malheur dont tu nous as affligés, Dieu te le rend aujourd'hui." Et tout Israël le tua à coups de pierre. On les livra au feu, on les lapida,

Y dijo Josué: ¿Por qué nos has turbado? Túrbete Jehová en este día. Y todos los Israelitas los apedrearon, y los quemaron á fuego, después de apedrearlos con piedras;

And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? The LORD will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

et on éleva par-dessus un grand monceau de pierres, qui subsiste encore, et le courroux de l'Eternel s'apaisa. C'est à cette occasion que l'endroit fut appelé la Vallée d'Akhor , nom qu'il a gardé jusqu'aujourd'hui.

Y levantaron sobre él un gran montón de piedras, hasta hoy. Y Jehová se tornó de la ira de su furor. Y por esto fué llamado aquel lugar el Valle de Achôr, hasta hoy.

And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.
