sammelten sie sich einträchtiglich zuhauf, daß sie wider Josua und wider Israel stritten.

Y ACONTECIÓ que como oyeron estas cosas todos los reyes que estaban de esta parte del Jordán, así en las montañas como en los llanos, y en toda la costa de la gran mar delante del Líbano, los Hetheos, Amorrheos, Cananeos, Pherezeos, Heveos, y Jebuseos;

And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;

When all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard of it

Aber die Bürger zu Gibeon, da sie höreten, was Josua mit Jericho und Ai getan hatte, erdachten sie eine List;

Mas los moradores de Gabaón, como oyeron lo que Josué había hecho á Jericó y á Hai,

And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,

und alte zerrissene, geflickte Weinschläuche und alte geflickte Schuhe an ihre Füße und zogen alte Kleider an, und altes Brot, das sie mit sich nahmen, war hart und schimmlig.

Ellos usaron también de astucia; pues fueron y fingiéronse embajadores, y tomaron sacos viejos sobre sus asnos, y cueros viejos de vino, rotos y remendados,

They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;

they also resorted to a ruse, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks on their donkeys, and old, torn-up and bound up wineskins,

Und gingen zu Josua ins Lager gen Gilgal und sprachen zu ihm und zum ganzen Israel: Wir kommen aus fernen Landen, so machet nun einen Bund mit uns.

Y zapatos viejos y recosidos en sus pies, con vestidos viejos sobre sí; y todo el pan que traían para el camino, seco y mohoso.

And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy.

Da sprach das ganze Israel zu dem Heviter: Vielleicht möchtest du unter uns wohnend werden; wie könnte ich dann einen Bund mit dir machen?

Así vinieron á Josué al campo en Gilgal, y dijéronle á él y á los de Israel: Nosotros venimos de tierra muy lejana: haced pues ahora con nosotros alianza.

And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.

They went to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, and said to him and to the men of Israel, “We have come from a far country. Now therefore make a covenant with us.”

Sie aber sprachen zu Josua: Wir sind deine Knechte. Josua sprach zu ihnen: Wer seid ihr und von wannen kommt ihr?

Y los de Israel respondieron á los Heveos: Quizás vosotros habitáis en medio de nosotros: ¿cómo pues podremos nosotros hacer alianza con vosotros?

And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?

The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “What if you live among us? How could we make a covenant with you?”

Sie sprachen: Deine Knechte sind aus sehr fernen Landen kommen um des Namens willen des HERRN, deines Gottes; denn wir haben sein Gerücht gehöret und alles, was er in Ägypten getan hat,

Y ellos respondieron á Josué: Nosotros somos tus siervos. Y Josué les dijo: ¿Quién sois vosotros y de dónde venís?

And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?

They said to Joshua, “We are your servants.” Joshua said to them, “Who are you? Where do you come from?”

und alles, was er den zweien Königen der Amoriter jenseit des Jordans getan hat, Sihon, dem Könige zu Hesbon, und Og, dem Könige zu Basan, der zu Astharoth wohnete.

Y ellos respondieron: Tus siervos han venido de muy lejanas tierras, por la fama de Jehová tu Dios; porque hemos oído su fama, y todas las cosas que hizo en Egipto,

And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

They said to him, “Your servants have come from a very far country because of the name of the LORD your God; for we have heard of his fame, all that he did in Egypt,

Darum sprachen unsere Ältesten und alle Einwohner unsers Landes: Nehmet Speise mit euch auf die Reise und gehet hin ihnen entgegen und sprechet zu ihnen: Wir sind eure Knechte. So machet nun einen Bund mit uns.

Y todo lo que hizo á los dos reyes de los Amorrheos que estaban de la otra parte del Jordán; á Sehón rey de Hesbón, y á Og rey de Basán, que estaba en Astaroth.

And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.

Dies unser Brot, das wir aus unsern Häusern zu unserer Speise nahmen, war noch frisch, da wir auszogen zu euch; nun aber, siehe, es ist hart und schimmlig;

Por lo cual nuestros ancianos y todos los moradores de nuestra tierra nos dijeron: Tomad en vuestras manos provisión para el camino, é id al encuentro de ellos, y decidles: Nosotros somos vuestros siervos, y haced ahora con nosotros alianza.

Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.

Our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying, ‘Take supplies in your hand for the journey, and go to meet them. Tell them, “We are your servants. Now make a covenant with us.”’

und diese Weinschläuche fülleten wir neu, und siehe, sie sind zerrissen; und diese unsere Kleider und Schuhe sind alt worden über der sehr langen Reise.

Este nuestro pan tomamos caliente de nuestras casas para el camino el día que salimos para venir á vosotros; y helo aquí ahora que está seco y mohoso:

This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy:

This our bread we took hot for our supplies out of our houses on the day we went out to go to you; but now, behold, it is dry, and has become moldy.

Da nahmen die Hauptleute ihre Speise an und fragten den Mund des HERRN nicht.

Estos cueros de vino también los henchimos nuevos; helos aquí ya rotos: también estos nuestros vestidos y nuestros zapatos están ya viejos á causa de lo muy largo del camino.

And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.

These wineskins, which we filled, were new; and behold, they are torn. These our garments and our sandals have become old because of the very long journey.”

Und Josua machte Frieden mit ihnen und richtete einen Bund mit ihnen auf, daß sie leben bleiben sollten. Und die Obersten der Gemeine schwuren ihnen.

Y los hombres de Israel tomaron de su provisión del camino, y no preguntaron á la boca de Jehová.

And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.

The men sampled their provisions, and didn’t ask counsel from the LORD’s mouth.

Aber über drei Tage, nachdem sie mit ihnen einen Bund gemacht hatten, kam es vor sie, daß jene nahe bei ihnen wären und würden unter ihnen wohnen.

Y Josué hizo paz con ellos, y concertó con ellos que les dejaría la vida: también los príncipes de la congregación les juraron.

And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.

Denn da die Kinder Israel fortzogen, kamen sie des dritten Tages zu ihren Städten, die hießen Gibeon, Kaphira, Beeroth und Kiriath-Jearim.

Pasados tres días después que hicieron con ellos el concierto, oyeron como eran sus vecinos, y que habitaban en medio de ellos.

And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.

Und schlugen sie nicht, darum daß ihnen die Obersten der Gemeine geschworen hatten bei dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels. Da aber die ganze Gemeine wider die Obersten murrete,

Y partiéronse los hijos de Israel, y al tercer día llegaron á sus ciudades: y sus ciudades eran Gabaón, Caphira, Beeroth, y Chiriath-jearim.

And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjath-jearim.

sprachen alle Obersten der ganzen Gemeine: Wir haben ihnen geschworen bei dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels; darum können wir sie nicht antasten.

Y no los hirieron los hijos de Israel, por cuanto los príncipes de la congregación les habían jurado por Jehová el Dios de Israel. Y toda la congregación murmuraba contra los príncipes.

And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.

The children of Israel didn’t strike them, because the princes of the congregation had sworn to them by the LORD, the God of Israel. All the congregation murmured against the princes.

Aber das wollen wir tun: Lasset sie leben, daß nicht ein Zorn über uns komme um des Eides willen, den wir ihnen getan haben.

Mas todos los príncipes respondieron á toda la congregación: Nosotros les hemos jurado por Jehová Dios de Israel; por tanto, ahora no les podemos tocar.

But all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.

But all the princes said to all the congregation, “We have sworn to them by the LORD, the God of Israel. Now therefore we may not touch them.

Und die Obersten sprachen zu ihnen: Lasset sie leben, daß sie Holzhauer und Wasserträger seien der ganzen Gemeine, wie ihnen die Obersten gesagt haben.

Esto haremos con ellos: les dejaremos vivir, porque no venga ira sobre nosotros á causa del juramento que les hemos hecho.

This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.

We will do this to them, and let them live; lest wrath be on us, because of the oath which we swore to them.”

Da rief ihnen Josua und redete mit ihnen und sprach: Warum habt ihr uns betrogen und gesagt, ihr seid sehr ferne von uns, so ihr doch unter uns wohnet?

Y los príncipes les dijeron: Vivan; mas sean leñadores y aguadores para toda la congregación, como los príncipes les han dicho.

And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.

The princes said to them, “Let them live.” So they became wood cutters and drawers of water for all the congregation, as the princes had spoken to them.

Darum sollt ihr verflucht sein, daß unter euch nicht aufhören Knechte, die Holz hauen und Wasser tragen zum Hause meines Gottes.

Y llamándolos Josué, les habló diciendo: ¿Por qué nos habéis engañado, diciendo, Habitamos muy lejos de vosotros; una vez que moráis en medio de nosotros?

And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?

Joshua called for them, and he spoke to them, saying, “Why have you deceived us, saying, ‘We are very far from you,’ when you live among us?

Sie antworteten Josua und sprachen: Es ist deinen Knechten angesagt, daß der HERR, dein Gott, Mose, seinem Knechte, geboten habe, daß er euch das ganze Land geben und vor euch her alle Einwohner des Landes vertilgen wolle. Da fürchteten wir unsers Lebens vor euch sehr und haben solches getan.

Vosotros pues ahora sois malditos, y no faltará de vosotros siervo, y quien corte la leña y saque el agua para la casa de mi Dios.

Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.

Now therefore you are cursed, and some of you will never fail to be slaves, both wood cutters and drawers of water for the house of my God.”

Nun aber, siehe, wir sind in deinen Händen; was dich gut und recht dünket, uns zu tun, das tue.

Y ellos respondieron á Josué, y dijeron: Como fué dado á entender á tus siervos, que Jehová tu Dios había mandado á Moisés su siervo que os había de dar toda la tierra, y que había de destruir todos los moradores de la tierra delante de vosotros, por esto temimos en gran manera de vosotros por nuestras vidas, é hicimos esto.

And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.

They answered Joshua, and said, “Because your servants were certainly told how the LORD your God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you. Therefore we were very afraid for our lives because of you, and have done this thing.

Und er tat ihnen also und errettete sie von der Kinder Israel Hand, daß sie sie nicht erwürgeten.

Ahora pues, henos aquí en tu mano: lo que te pareciere bueno y recto hacer de nosotros, hazlo.

And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.

Now, behold, we are in your hand. Do to us as it seems good and right to you to do.”

Also machte sie Josua desselben Tages zu Holzhauern und Wasserträgern der Gemeine und zum Altar des HERRN bis auf diesen Tag an dem Ort, den er erwählen würde.

Y él lo hizo así; que los libró de la mano de los hijos de Israel, para que no los matasen.

And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.

He did so to them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, so that they didn’t kill them.

Da aber Adoni-Zedek, der König zu Jerusalem, hörete, daß Josua Ai gewonnen und sie verbannet hatte und Ai samt ihrem Könige getan hatte, gleichwie er Jericho und ihrem Könige getan hatte, und daß die zu Gibeon Frieden mit Israel gemacht hatten und unter sie kommen waren,

Y constituyólos Josué aquel día por leñadores y aguadores para la congregación y para el altar de Jehová, en el lugar que él escogiese: lo que son hasta hoy.

And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.

That day Joshua made them wood cutters and drawers of water for the congregation and for the LORD’s altar to this day, in the place which he should choose.
