1Jude, serviteur de Jésus-Christ, et frère de Jacques, à ceux qui ont été appelés, qui sont aimés en Dieu le Père, et gardés pour Jésus-Christ:
2que la miséricorde, la paix et la charité vous soient multipliées!
3Bien-aimés, comme je désirais vivement vous écrire au sujet de notre salut commun, je me suis senti obligé de le faire afin de vous exhorter à combattre pour la foi qui a été transmise aux saints une fois pour toutes.
4Car il s’est glissé parmi vous certains hommes, dont la condamnation est écrite depuis longtemps, des impies, qui changent la grâce de notre Dieu en dissolution, et qui renient notre seul maître et Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
5Je veux vous rappeler, à vous qui savez fort bien toutes ces choses, que le Seigneur, après avoir sauvé le peuple et l’avoir tiré du pays d’Égypte, fit ensuite périr les incrédules;
6qu’il a réservé pour le jugement du grand jour, enchaînés éternellement par les ténèbres, les anges qui n’ont pas gardé leur dignité, mais qui ont abandonné leur propre demeure;
7que Sodome et Gomorrhe et les villes voisines, qui se livrèrent comme eux à l’impudicité et à des vices contre nature, sont données en exemple, subissant la peine d’un feu éternel.
8Malgré cela, ces hommes aussi, entraînés par leurs rêveries, souillent pareillement leur chair, méprisent l’autorité et injurient les gloires.
9Or, l’archange Michel, lorsqu’il contestait avec le diable et lui disputait le corps de Moïse, n’osa pas porter contre lui un jugement injurieux, mais il dit: Que le Seigneur te réprime!
10Eux, au contraire, ils parlent d’une manière injurieuse de ce qu’ils ignorent, et ils se corrompent dans ce qu’ils savent naturellement comme les brutes.
11Malheur à eux! Car ils ont suivi la voie de Caïn, ils se sont jetés pour un salaire dans l’égarement de Balaam, ils se sont perdus par la révolte de Coré.
12Ce sont des écueils dans vos agapes, faisant impudemment bonne chère, se repaissant eux-mêmes. Ce sont des nuées sans eau, poussées par les vents; des arbres d’automne sans fruits, deux fois morts, déracinés;
13des vagues furieuses de la mer, rejetant l’écume de leurs impuretés; des astres errants, auxquels l’obscurité des ténèbres est réservée pour l’éternité.
14C’est aussi pour eux qu’Énoch, le septième depuis Adam, a prophétisé en ces termes: Voici, le Seigneur est venu avec ses saintes myriades,
15pour exercer un jugement contre tous, et pour faire rendre compte à tous les impies parmi eux de tous les actes d’impiété qu’ils ont commis et de toutes les paroles injurieuses qu’ont proférées contre lui des pécheurs impies.
16Ce sont des gens qui murmurent, qui se plaignent de leur sort, qui marchent selon leurs convoitises, qui ont à la bouche des paroles hautaines, qui admirent les personnes par motif d’intérêt.
17Mais vous, bien-aimés, souvenez-vous des choses annoncées d’avance par les apôtres de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
18Ils vous disaient qu’au dernier temps il y aurait des moqueurs, marchant selon leurs convoitises impies;
19ce sont ceux qui provoquent des divisions, hommes sensuels, n’ayant pas l’esprit.
20Pour vous, bien-aimés, vous édifiant vous-mêmes sur votre très sainte foi, et priant par le Saint-Esprit,
21maintenez-vous dans l’amour de Dieu, en attendant la miséricorde de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ pour la vie éternelle.
22Reprenez les uns, ceux qui contestent;
23sauvez-en d’autres en les arrachant du feu; et pour d’autres encore, ayez une pitié mêlée de crainte, haïssant jusqu’à la tunique souillée par la chair.
24Or, à celui qui peut vous préserver de toute chute et vous faire paraître devant sa gloire irrépréhensibles et dans l’allégresse,
25à Dieu seul, notre Sauveur, par Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur, soient gloire, majesté, force et puissance, dès avant tous les temps, et maintenant, et dans tous les siècles! Amen!

1JUDAS, siervo de Jesucristo, y hermano de Jacobo, á los llamados, santificados en Dios Padre, y conservados en Jesucristo:
2Misericordia, y paz, y amor os sean multiplicados.
3Amados, por la gran solicitud que tenía de escribiros de la común salud, me ha sido necesario escribiros amonestándoos que contendáis eficazmente por la fe que ha sido una vez dada á los santos.
4Porque algunos hombres han entrado encubiertamente, los cuales desde antes habían estado ordenados para esta condenación, hombres impíos, convirtiendo la gracia de nuestro Dios en disolución, y negando á Dios que solo es el que tiene dominio, y á nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
5Os quiero pues amonestar, ya que alguna vez habéis sabido esto, que el Señor habiendo salvado al pueblo de Egipto, después destruyó á los que no creían:
6Y á los ángeles que no guardaron su dignidad, mas dejaron su habitación, los ha reservado debajo de oscuridad en prisiones eternas hasta el juicio del gran día:
7Como Sodoma y Gomorra, y las ciudades comarcanas, las cuales de la misma manera que ellos habían fornicado, y habían seguido la carne extraña, fueron puestas por ejemplo, sufriendo el juicio del fuego eterno.
8De la misma manera también estos soñadores amancillan la carne, y menosprecian la potestad, y vituperan las potestades superiores.
9Pero cuando el arcángel Miguel contendía con el diablo, disputando sobre el cuerpo de Moisés, no se atrevió á usar de juicio de maldición contra él, sino que dijo: El Señor te reprenda.
10Pero éstos maldicen las cosas que no conocen; y las cosas que naturalmente conocen, se corrompen en ellas, como bestias brutas.
11¡Ay de ellos! porque han seguido el camino de Caín, y se lanzaron en el error de Balaam por recompensa, y perecieron en la contradicción de Coré.
12Estos son manchas en vuestros convites, que banquetean juntamente, apacentándose á sí mismos sin temor alguno: nubes sin agua, las cuales son llevadas de acá para allá de los vientos: árboles marchitos como en otoño, sin fruto, dos veces muertos y desarraigados;
13Fieras ondas de la mar, que espuman sus mismas abominaciones; estrellas erráticas, á las cuales es reservada eternalmente la oscuridad de las tinieblas.
14De los cuales también profetizó Enoc, séptimo desde Adam, diciendo: He aquí, el Señor es venido con sus santos millares,
15A hacer juicio contra todos, y á convencer á todos los impíos de entre ellos tocante á todas sus obras de impiedad que han hecho impíamente, y á todas las cosas duras que los pecadores impíos han hablado contra él.
16Estos son murmuradores, querellosos, andando según sus deseos; y su boca habla cosas soberbias, teniendo en admiración las personas por causa del provecho.
17Mas vosotros, amados, tened memoria de las palabras que antes han sido dichas por los apóstoles de nuestro Señor Jesucristo;
18Como os decían: Que en el postrer tiempo habría burladores, que andarían según sus malvados deseos.
19Estos son los que hacen divisiones, sensuales, no teniendo el Espíritu.
20Mas vosotros, oh amados, edificándoos sobre vuestra santísima fe, orando por el Espíritu Santo,
21Conservaos en el amor de Dios, esperando la misericordia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, para vida eterna.
22Y recibid á los unos en piedad, discerniendo:
23Mas haced salvos á los otros por temor, arrebatándolos del fuego; aborreciendo aun la ropa que es contaminada de la carne.
24A aquel, pues, que es poderoso para guardaros sin caída, y presentaros delante de su gloria irreprensibles, con grande alegría,
25Al Dios solo sabio, nuestro Salvador, sea gloria y magnificencia, imperio y potencia, ahora y en todos los siglos. Amén.

1Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
17But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

1Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ:
2May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
3Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
4For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into indecency, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.
5Now I desire to remind you, though you already know this, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didn’t believe.
6Angels who didn’t keep their first domain, but deserted their own dwelling place, he has kept in everlasting bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.
7Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, having in the same way as these given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are shown as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
8Yet in the same way, these also in their dreaming defile the flesh, despise authority, and slander celestial beings.
9But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil and arguing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him an abusive condemnation, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”
10But these speak evil of whatever things they don’t know. They are destroyed in these things that they understand naturally, like the creatures without reason.
11Woe to them! For they went in the way of Cain, and ran riotously in the error of Balaam for hire, and perished in Korah’s rebellion.
12These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.
14About these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones,
15to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
16These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts—and their mouth speaks proud things—showing respect of persons to gain advantage.
17But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
18They said to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.”
19These are those who cause divisions and are sensual, not having the Spirit.
20But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
21Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
22On some have compassion, making a distinction,
23and some save, snatching them out of the fire with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.
24Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,
25to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
