17El Señor es quien llevó a cabo lo que había planeado. Cumplió las promesas de desastre que hizo hace mucho tiempo. Destruyó a Jerusalén sin piedad y ha permitido que sus enemigos se rían de ella y presuman delante de ella su poder.

17Jehová ha hecho lo que tenía determinado, ha cumplido su palabra que él había mandado desde tiempo antiguo: destruyó, y no perdonó; y alegró sobre ti al enemigo, y enalteció el cuerno de tus adversarios.
