Me ha cercado un muro, de modo que no puedo salir; Él ha hecho grande el peso de mi cadena.
Cercóme por todos lados, y no puedo salir; agravó mis grillos.

Incluso cuando envío un grito de auxilio, él mantiene mi oración en secreto.

Él es como un oso esperándome, como un león en lugares secretos.

He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.

Con su arco inclinado, me ha hecho la marca de sus flechas.

Él ha soltado sus flechas en las partes más internas de mi cuerpo.
Hizo entrar en mis riñones las saetas de su aljaba.

Me he convertido en la burla de todos los pueblos; Soy él objeto de su burla todo el día.
Fuí escarnio á todo mi pueblo, canción de ellos todos los días.
I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.

Él ha hecho de mi vida nada más que dolor, amarga es la bebida que me ha dado.
Hartóme de amarguras, embriagóme de ajenjos.
He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.

Por él, mis dientes se rompieron con piedras trituradas, y me cubrió de ceniza.
Quebróme los dientes con cascajo, cubrióme de ceniza.

Mi alma es enviada lejos de la paz, no tengo más recuerdos del bien.

And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.

Y dije: Mi fuerza ha perecido, y mi esperanza en él Señor.

And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:
I said, “My strength has perished, along with my expectation from the LORD.”
Ten en cuenta mi aflicción, mi vagar, el ajenjo y la amargura.
Acuérdate de mi aflicción y de mi abatimiento, del ajenjo y de la hiel.
Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

Mi alma aún guarda el recuerdo de ellos; y se humilla dentro de mí.
Tendrálo aún en memoria mi alma, porque en mí está humillada.

Esto lo tengo en mente, y por eso tengo esperanza.

Es a través del amor del Señor que no hemos llegado a la destrucción, porque sus misericordias no tienen límites.
Es por la misericordia de Jehová que no somos consumidos, porque nunca decayeron sus misericordias.
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Es bueno seguir esperando y esperando tranquilamente la salvación del Señor.

Déjalo que se siente solo, sin decir nada, porque él Señor se lo ha puesto.

Que ponga su boca en el polvo, si por casualidad puede haber esperanza.

Vuelva su rostro hacia el que le da golpes; que se llene de vergüenza.

Porque el Señor no da para siempre al hombre.

Porque aunque él envíe dolor, aun así tendrá lástima en toda la medida de su amor.
Antes si afligiere, también se compadecerá según la multitud de sus misericordias.
But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Porque no le agrada afligir y causar dolor a los hijos de los hombres.

Aplastar bajo sus pies a todos los prisioneros de la tierra,

Privar del derecho de un hombre ante el Altísimo.
Hacer apartar el derecho del hombre ante la presencia del Altísimo,
To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
to turn away the right of a man before the face of the Most High,
Defraudar a un hombre en su demanda, el Señor no le place.
Trastornar al hombre en su causa, el Señor no lo sabe.
To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.
to subvert a man in his cause, the Lord doesn’t approve.
¿Quién puede decir una cosa y darle efecto si no ha sido ordenado por el Señor?
¿Quién será aquel que diga, que vino algo que el Señor no mandó?
Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?
¿No sale mal y bien de la boca del Altísimo?
¿De la boca del Altísimo no saldrá malo y bueno?
Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
Doesn’t evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
¿Qué protesta puede hacer un hombre vivo, incluso un hombre sobre el castigo de su pecado?
¿Por qué murmura el hombre viviente, el hombre en su pecado?
Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Why should a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Hagamos una reflexión pongamos a prueba nuestros caminos, volviéndonos nuevamente al Señor;
Escudriñemos nuestros caminos, y busquemos, y volvámonos á Jehová.

Levantando nuestros corazones con nuestras manos a Dios en los cielos.

Hemos hecho lo malo y hemos ido contra tu ley; No hemos tenido tu perdón.

We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.

Cubriéndonos con ira, nos perseguiste, has matado, no perdonado;
Desplegaste la ira, y nos perseguiste; mataste, no perdonaste.
Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

Cubriéndose con una nube, para que la oración no pase.
Te cubriste de nube, porque no pasase la oración nuestra.
Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
Nos has hecho como basura y desecho entre los pueblos.
Raedura y abominación nos tornaste en medio de los pueblos.
Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.
You have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the middle of the peoples.
Las bocas de todos nuestros enemigos se abren contra nosotros.
Todos nuestros enemigos abrieron sobre nosotros su boca.
All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
“All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
El temor y trampas han venido sobre nosotros, desolación y destrucción.
Temor y lazo fué para nosotros, asolamiento y quebrantamiento.
Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
Terror and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.”
Ríos de agua corren de mis ojos, por la destrucción de la hija de mi pueblo.
Ríos de aguas echan mis ojos, por el quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo.
Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.

Mis ojos están llorando sin parar, no tienen descanso,
Mis ojos destilan, y no cesan, porque no hay alivio,
Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission,
My eye pours down and doesn’t cease, without any intermission,
Hasta que el Señor nos mire, hasta que vea mi problema desde cielo.
Hasta que Jehová mire y vea desde los cielos.
Till the LORD look down, and behold from heaven.

Los que están contra mí sin causa me persiguen como si fuera un pájaro;
Mis enemigos me dieron caza como á ave, sin por qué.
Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.

Han puesto fin a mi vida en la prisión, pusieron piedra sobre mi.
Ataron mi vida en mazmorra, pusieron piedra sobre mí.
They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.

Aguas cubrieron mi cabeza; Dije, estoy muerto.

Estaba orando a tu nombre, oh Señor, desde la prisión más baja.

Mi voz vino a ti; Que no se te cierre el oído a mi clamor, a mi llanto.

Oh Señor, has tomado la causa de mi alma, has salvado mi vida.

Los labios de los que subieron contra mí, y sus pensamientos contra mí todo el día.
Los dichos de los que contra mí se levantaron, y su designio contra mí todo el día.

Toman nota de ellos cuando están sentados y cuando se levanten; Yo soy su objeto de burla.

Les darás su recompensa, Señor, respondiendo a la obra de sus manos.

Dejarás que sus corazones se endurezcan con tu maldición sobre ellos.
