Et j’ai dit : ma force est perdue, et mon espérance aussi que j’avais en l’Eternel.

Souviens-toi de mon affliction, et de mon pauvre état, qui n’est qu’absinthe et que fiel.
Acuérdate de mi aflicción y de mi abatimiento, del ajenjo y de la hiel.

Mon âme s’en souvient sans cesse, et elle est abattue au dedans de moi.

Ce sont les gratuités de l’Eternel que nous n’avons point été consumés, parce que ses compassions ne sont point taries.
Es por la misericordia de Jehová que no somos consumidos, porque nunca decayeron sus misericordias.
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

C’est une chose bonne qu’on attende, même en se tenant en repos, la délivrance de l’Eternel.

Lorsqu’on fait tort à quelqu’un dans son procès, le Seigneur ne le voit-il point ?
Trastornar al hombre en su causa, el Señor no lo sabe.
To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.

Qui est-ce qui dit que cela a été fait, et que le Seigneur ne l’a point commandé ?
¿Quién será aquel que diga, que vino algo que el Señor no mandó?
Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?
Les maux, et les biens ne procèdent-ils point de l’ordre du Très- haut ?
¿De la boca del Altísimo no saldrá malo y bueno?
Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
Doesn’t evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
Pourquoi se dépiterait l’homme vivant, l’homme, dis-je, à cause de ses péchés ?
¿Por qué murmura el hombre viviente, el hombre en su pecado?
Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

Recherchons nos voies, et les sondons, et retournons jusqu’à l’Eternel.
Escudriñemos nuestros caminos, y busquemos, y volvámonos á Jehová.

Levons nos coeurs et nos mains au Dieu Fort qui est aux cieux, en disant :

Nous avons péché, nous avons été rebelles, tu n’as point pardonné.
Nosotros nos hemos rebelado, y fuimos desleales; tú no perdonaste.
We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.

Tu nous as couverts de ta colère, et nous as poursuivis, tu as tué, tu n’as point épargné.

Tu t’es couvert d’une nuée, afin que la requête ne passât point.

Tu nous as fait être la raclure et le rebut au milieu des peuples.
Raedura y abominación nos tornaste en medio de los pueblos.

Tous nos ennemis ont ouvert leur bouche sur nous.
Todos nuestros enemigos abrieron sobre nosotros su boca.
All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.

La frayeur et la fosse, le dégât et la calamité nous sont arrivés.
Temor y lazo fué para nosotros, asolamiento y quebrantamiento.
Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
Terror and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.”
Mon oeil s’est fondu en ruisseaux d’eaux à cause de la plaie de la fille de mon peuple.
Ríos de aguas echan mis ojos, por el quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo.
