Acuérdate de mi aflicción y de mi abatimiento, del ajenjo y de la hiel.

Quand mon âme s’en souvient, Elle est abattue au-dedans de moi.
Tendrálo aún en memoria mi alma, porque en mí está humillada.

Les bontés de l’Éternel ne sont pas épuisées, Ses compassions ne sont pas à leur terme;
Es por la misericordia de Jehová que no somos consumidos, porque nunca decayeron sus misericordias.
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

N’est-ce pas de la volonté du Très-Haut que viennent Les maux et les biens?
¿De la boca del Altísimo no saldrá malo y bueno?
Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?

Pourquoi l’homme vivant se plaindrait-il? Que chacun se plaigne de ses propres péchés.
¿Por qué murmura el hombre viviente, el hombre en su pecado?
Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

Recherchons nos voies et sondons, Et retournons à l’Éternel;
Escudriñemos nuestros caminos, y busquemos, y volvámonos á Jehová.

Tu nous as rendus un objet de mépris et de dédain Au milieu des peuples.
Raedura y abominación nos tornaste en medio de los pueblos.

Ils ouvrent la bouche contre nous, Tous ceux qui sont nos ennemis.
Todos nuestros enemigos abrieron sobre nosotros su boca.
All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.

Notre partage a été la terreur et la fosse, Le ravage et la ruine.
Temor y lazo fué para nosotros, asolamiento y quebrantamiento.
Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.

Des torrents d’eau coulent de mes yeux, A cause de la ruine de la fille de mon peuple.
