Selbst Schakale reichen die Brust, säugen ihre Jungen; die Tochter meines Volkes ist grausam geworden wie die Strauße in der Wüste.

Aun los monstruos marinos sacan la teta, dan de mamar á sus chiquitos: la hija de mi pueblo es cruel, como los avestruces en el desierto.

Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.
