Il loro aspetto è ora più cupo del nero; non si riconoscon più per le vie; la loro pelle è attaccata alle ossa, è secca, è diventata come un legno.

Oscura más que la negrura es la forma de ellos; no los conocen por las calles: su piel está pegada á sus huesos, seca como un palo.

Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick.
