Yahvé le dijo a Moisés:
Y HABLÓ Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
The LORD said to Moses,
“Háblales a los israelitas y diles: ‘Yo soy Yahvé, su Dios.
Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘I am the LORD your God.
No deben seguir las costumbres de la tierra de Egipto, donde ustedes vivieron. Tampoco sigan las costumbres de la tierra de Canaán, adonde los llevo. No se guíen por sus reglamentos.
No haréis como hacen en la tierra de Egipto, en la cual morasteis; ni haréis como hacen en la tierra de Canaán, á la cual yo os conduzco; ni andaréis en sus estatutos.
After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived. You shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. You shall not follow their statutes.
Ustedes deben cumplir mis leyes y obedecer mis reglamentos. Vivan de acuerdo con ellos. Yo soy Yahvé, su Dios.
Mis derechos pondréis por obra, y mis estatutos guardaréis, andando en ellos: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
You shall do my ordinances. You shall keep my statutes and walk in them. I am the LORD your God.
Obedezcan mis reglamentos y mis leyes, porque la persona que los cumpla, vivirá por ellos. Yo soy Yahvé.
Por tanto mis estatutos y mis derechos guardaréis, los cuales haciendo el hombre, vivirá en ellos: Yo Jehová.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
You shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances, which if a man does, he shall live in them. I am the LORD.
“‘Ninguno de ustedes debe tener relaciones sexuales con un pariente cercano. Yo soy Yahvé.
Ningún varón se allegue á ninguna cercana de su carne, para descubrir su desnudez: Yo Jehová.
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
“‘None of you shall approach any close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
“‘No deshonrarás a tu padre teniendo relaciones sexuales con tu madre. Ella es tu madre; no debes tener relaciones con ella.
La desnudez de tu padre, ó la desnudez de tu madre, no descubrirás: tu madre es, no descubrirás su desnudez.
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con ninguna otra esposa de tu padre; eso deshonraría a tu padre.
La desnudez de la mujer de tu padre no descubrirás; es la desnudez de tu padre.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife. It is your father’s nakedness.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con tu hermana, ya sea hija de tu padre o hija de tu madre, ya sea que haya nacido en la misma casa o en otra parte.
La desnudez de tu hermana, hija de tu padre, ó hija de tu madre, nacida en casa ó nacida fuera, su desnudez no descubrirás.
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home or born abroad.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con tu nieta, ya sea la hija de tu hijo o la hija de tu hija, porque deshonrarla a ella es deshonrarte a ti mismo.
La desnudez de la hija de tu hijo, ó de la hija de tu hija, su desnudez no descubrirás, porque es la desnudez tuya.
The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness; for theirs is your own nakedness.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la hija de una esposa de tu padre. Como ella es hija de tu padre, es tu media hermana.
La desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre, engendrada de tu padre, tu hermana es, su desnudez no descubrirás.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la hermana de tu padre, pues ella es pariente cercana de tu padre.
La desnudez de la hermana de tu padre no descubrirás: es parienta de tu padre.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister. She is your father’s near kinswoman.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la hermana de tu madre, pues ella es pariente cercana de tu madre.
La desnudez de la hermana de tu madre no descubrirás: porque parienta de tu madre es.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.
“‘No deshonrarás al hermano de tu padre teniendo relaciones sexuales con su esposa. Ella es tu tía.
La desnudez del hermano de tu padre no descubrirás: no llegarás á su mujer: es mujer del hermano de tu padre.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother. You shall not approach his wife. She is your aunt.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con tu nuera. Es la esposa de tu hijo; no debes tener relaciones con ella.
La desnudez de tu nuera no descubrirás: mujer es de tu hijo; no descubrirás su desnudez.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la esposa de tu hermano, pues eso deshonraría a tu hermano.
La desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano no descubrirás: es la desnudez de tu hermano.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife. It is your brother’s nakedness.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con una mujer y también con su hija. Tampoco te acostarás con su nieta, ya sea hija de su hijo o hija de su hija. Son parientes cercanas, y hacer eso es una perversidad.
La desnudez de la mujer y de su hija no descubrirás: no tomarás la hija de su hijo, ni la hija de su hija, para descubrir su desnudez: son parientas, es maldad.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness. They are near kinswomen. It is wickedness.
“‘Mientras tu esposa esté viva, no te casarás con su hermana para hacerla su rival y tener relaciones sexuales con ella.
No tomarás mujer juntamente con su hermana, para hacerla su rival, descubriendo su desnudez delante de ella en su vida.
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
“‘You shall not take a wife in addition to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is still alive.
“‘No te acercarás a una mujer para tener relaciones sexuales mientras ella esté en su período de impureza menstrual.
Y no llegarás á la mujer en el apartamiento de su inmundicia, para descubrir su desnudez.
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
“‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
“‘No te acostarás con la esposa de tu prójimo, pues te contaminarías con ella.
Además, no tendrás acto carnal con la mujer de tu prójimo, contaminándote en ella.
Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.
“‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her.
“‘No entregarás a ninguno de tus hijos para que sea sacrificado en el fuego a Moloc. No profanes el nombre de tu Dios. Yo soy Yahvé.
Y no des de tu simiente para hacerla pasar por el fuego á Moloch; no contamines el nombre de tu Dios: Yo Jehová.
And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
“‘You shall not give any of your children as a sacrifice to Molech. You shall not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
“‘No te acostarás con un hombre como quien se acuesta con una mujer; es algo asqueroso.
No te echarás con varón como con mujer: es abominación.
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
“‘You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. That is detestable.
“‘No tendrás relaciones sexuales con ningún animal, pues te contaminarías con él. Ninguna mujer debe presentarse ante un animal para aparearse con él; es una perversión.
Ni con ningún animal tendrás ayuntamiento amancillándote con él; ni mujer alguna se pondrá delante de animal para ayuntarse con él: es confusión.
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
“‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it. No woman may give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.
“‘No se contaminen con ninguna de estas cosas, porque las naciones que voy a expulsar de delante de ustedes se contaminaron haciendo todo esto.
En ninguna de estas cosas os amancillaréis; porque en todas estas cosas se han ensuciado las gentes que yo echo de delante de vosotros:
Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
“‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.
La tierra misma se contaminó. Por eso la castigué por sus pecados, y la tierra vomitó a sus habitantes.
Y la tierra fué contaminada; y yo visité su maldad sobre ella, y la tierra vomitó sus moradores.
And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
The land was defiled. Therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.
Por lo tanto, ustedes deben obedecer mis reglamentos y mis leyes, y no cometer ninguna de estas cosas asquerosas. Esto aplica tanto para los israelitas como para los extranjeros que viven entre ustedes.
Guardad, pues, vosotros mis estatutos y mis derechos, y no hagáis ninguna de todas estas abominaciones: ni el natural ni el extranjero que peregrina entre vosotros.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you
Los habitantes de esa tierra que vivieron antes que ustedes hicieron todas estas cosas asquerosas, y la tierra se contaminó.
(Porque todas estas abominaciones hicieron los hombres de la tierra, que fueron antes de vosotros, y la tierra fué contaminada:)
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
(for the men of the land that were before you had done all these abominations, and the land became defiled),
No permitan que la tierra los vomite a ustedes por haberla contaminado, tal como vomitó a la nación que vivía allí antes que ustedes.
Y la tierra no os vomitará, por haberla contaminado, como vomitó á la gente que fué antes de vosotros.
That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
“‘Cualquiera que haga alguna de estas cosas asquerosas, será eliminado de su pueblo.
Porque cualquiera que hiciere alguna de todas estas abominaciones, las personas que las hicieren, serán cortadas de entre su pueblo.
For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
“‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.
Cumplan mis mandamientos. No practiquen ninguna de las costumbres perversas que se practicaban antes de que ustedes llegaran, para que no se contaminen con ellas. Yo soy Yahvé, su Dios’”.
Guardad, pues, mi ordenanza, no haciendo de las prácticas abominables que tuvieron lugar antes de vosotros, y no os ensuciéis en ellas: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them. I am the LORD your God.’”
