Yahweh disse para Moisés: "Fale aos sacerdotes, os filhos de Arão, e dize-lhes: 'Ninguém entre vós se tornará impuro por causa daquele que morrer entre vosso povo,
Y JEHOVÁ dijo á Moisés: Habla á los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón, y diles que no se contaminen por un muerto en sus pueblos.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:
The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, ‘A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people,
com excessão do parente próximo — tua mãe e pai, teu filho e filha, ou teu irmão
Mas por su pariente cercano á sí, por su madre, ó por su padre, ó por su hijo, ó por su hermano,
But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother,
ou irmã virgem que esteja em tua casa e que não tem marido. Por ela, pode torna-se impuro.
O por su hermana virgen, á él cercana, la cual no haya tenido marido, por ella se contaminará.
And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.
and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.
Mas ele não se tornará impuro para outros parentes, pois profanaria a si mesmo.

Eles devem ser separados para o seu Deus, e não desonrarem o nome do seu Deus, porque os sacerdotes apresentam as ofertas queimadas para Yahweh, o pão do seu Deus. Então os sacerdotes devem ser santos.
Santos serán á su Dios, y no profanarán el nombre de su Dios; porque los fuegos de Jehová y el pan de su Dios ofrecen: por tanto serán santos.

Qualquer filha de qualquer sacerdote que se profanar, transformando-se numa prostituta, desonra seu pai. Ela deve ser queimada.

And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

Aquele que é o sumo sacerdote entre seus irmãos, sobre cuja cabeça o óleo da unção tem sido derramado e que tem sido consagrado para usar as vestimentas especiais do sumo sacerdote, não deve usar seus cabelos soltos ou rasgar as suas vestes.
Y el sumo sacerdote entre sus hermanos, sobre cuya cabeza fué derramado el aceite de la unción, y que hinchió su mano para vestir las vestimentas, no descubrirá su cabeza, ni romperá sus vestidos:
And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
“‘He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, or tear his clothes.
Ele não deve ir a qualquer lugar em que um corpo morto esteja presente e se profanar, mesmo se for seu pai ou sua mãe.

Não deve se casar com uma viúva, uma mulher divorciada, ou uma mulher que seja prostituta. Ele não deve se casar com esses tipos de mulheres. Ele pode somente se casar com uma virgem do seu próprio povo.
Viuda, ó repudiada, ó infame, ó ramera, éstas no tomará: mas tomará virgen de sus pueblos por mujer.
A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
He shall not marry a widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute. He shall take a virgin of his own people as a wife.

Yahweh falou a Moisés, dizendo:

"Fala a Arão e dize-lhe: 'Qualquer dos teus descendentes por todas as gerações que tiver um defeito físico, não deve se aproximar para oferecer o pão do seu Deus.
Habla á Aarón, y dile: El varón de tu simiente en sus generaciones, en el cual hubiere falta, no se allegará para ofrecer el pan de su Dios.
Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
“Say to Aaron, ‘None of your offspring throughout their generations who has a defect may approach to offer the bread of his God.
Nenhum homem que tenha um defeito físico deve aproximar-se de Yahweh, como um cego, manco, ou que seja desfigurado ou deformado,
Porque ningún varón en el cual hubiere falta, se allegará: varón ciego, ó cojo, ó falto, ó sobrado,
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
For whatever man he is that has a defect, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,
ou um homem que seja inválido das mãos ou dos pés,
O varón en el cual hubiere quebradura de pie ó rotura de mano,
Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,
corcunda ou anão, ou um homem com defeitos nos olhos, com uma doença, dor, cicatriz, ou algum testículo defeituoso.
O corcovado, ó lagañoso, ó que tuviere nube en el ojo, ó que tenga sarna, ó empeine, ó compañón relajado;
Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye, or an itching disease, or scabs, or who has damaged testicles.
Nenhum homem entre os descendentes do sacerdote Arão, que tenha um defeito físico poderá se aproximar para apresentar as ofertas queimadas para Yahweh. De igual modo, um homem tendo um defeito físico, não deve se aproximar para oferecer o pão para o seu Deus.
Ningún varón de la simiente de Aarón sacerdote, en el cual hubiere falta, se allegará para ofrecer las ofrendas encendidas de Jehová. Hay falta en él; no se allegará á ofrecer el pan de su Dios.
No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
No man of the offspring of Aaron the priest who has a defect shall come near to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire. Since he has a defect, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.
Ele pode comer o pão do seu Deus, tanto do santíssimo como do santo.
El pan de su Dios, de lo muy santo y las cosas santificadas, comerá.
He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

De qualquer forma, ele não deverá ir além das cortinas ou se aproximar do altar, porque ele tem um defeito físico, então ele não profanará o Meu santo lugar, porque Eu sou Yahweh, que os santifica."'
Empero no entrará del velo adentro, ni se allegará al altar, por cuanto hay falta en él: y no profanará mi santuario, porque yo Jehová soy el que los santifico.
Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.
He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a defect; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’”
Então, Moisés falou estas palavras para Arão, para os seus filhos, e para todo o povo de Israel.
Y Moisés habló esto á Aarón, y á sus hijos, y á todos los hijos de Israel.
And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
So Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
