1Ihr sollt euch keine Götzen machen und sollt euch kein geschnitztes Bild und keine Bildsäule aufrichten, und keinen Stein mit Bildwerk sollt ihr in eurem Lande setzen, um euch davor niederzubeugen; denn ich bin Jehova, euer Gott.
2Meine Sabbathe sollt ihr beobachten, und mein Heiligtum sollt ihr fürchten. Ich bin Jehova.
3Wenn ihr in meinen Satzungen wandelt und meine Gebote beobachtet und sie tut,
4so werde ich eure Regen geben zu ihrer Zeit, und das Land wird seinen Ertrag geben, und die Bäume des Feldes werden ihre Frucht geben;
5und die Dreschzeit wird bei euch reichen bis an die Weinlese, und die Weinlese wird reichen bis an die Saatzeit; und ihr werdet euer Brot essen bis zur Sättigung und werdet sicher in eurem Lande wohnen.
6Und ich werde Frieden im Lande geben, daß ihr euch niederleget und niemand sei, der euch aufschreckt; und ich werde die bösen Tiere aus dem Lande vertilgen, und das Schwert wird nicht durch euer Land gehen.
7Und ihr werdet eure Feinde jagen, und sie werden vor euch fallen durchs Schwert;
8und fünf von euch werden hundert jagen, und hundert von euch werden zehntausend jagen, und eure Feinde werden vor euch fallen durchs Schwert.
9Und ich werde mich zu euch wenden und euch fruchtbar machen und euch mehren und meinen Bund mit euch aufrechthalten;
10und ihr werdet das altgewordene Alte essen, und das Alte wegräumen vor dem Neuen.
11Und ich werde meine Wohnung in eure Mitte setzen, und meine Seele wird euch nicht verabscheuen;
12und ich werde in eurer Mitte wandeln und werde euer Gott sein und ihr werdet mein Volk sein.
13Ich bin Jehova, euer Gott, der ich euch aus dem Lande Ägypten herausgeführt habe, daß ihr nicht ihre Knechte sein solltet; und ich habe die Stäbe eures Joches zerbrochen und euch aufrecht wandeln lassen.
14Wenn ihr mir aber nicht gehorchet und nicht alle diese Gebote tut,
15und wenn ihr meine Satzungen verachtet, und eure Seele meine Rechte verabscheut, so daß ihr nicht alle meine Gebote tut, und daß ihr meinen Bund brechet,
16so werde auch ich euch dieses tun: Ich werde Schrecken über euch bestellen, Schwindsucht und Fieberglut, welche machen werden, daß die Augen erlöschen und die Seele verschmachtet; und ihr werdet vergeblich euren Samen säen, denn eure Feinde werden ihn verzehren;
17und ich werde mein Angesicht wider euch richten, daß ihr vor euren Feinden geschlagen werdet; und eure Hasser werden über euch herrschen, und ihr werdet fliehen, obwohl niemand euch jagt.
18Und wenn ihr auf dieses hin mir nicht gehorchet, so werde ich euch siebenmal mehr züchtigen wegen eurer Sünden.
19Und ich werde euren starren Hochmut brechen, und werde euren Himmel wie Eisen machen und eure Erde wie Erz;
20und eure Kraft wird sich umsonst verbrauchen, und euer Land wird seinen Ertrag nicht geben, und die Bäume des Feldes werden ihre Frucht nicht geben.
21Und wenn ihr mir entgegen wandelt und mir nicht gehorchen wollt, so werde ich euch noch siebenmal mehr schlagen, nach euren Sünden.
22Und ich werde das Getier des Feldes unter euch senden, daß es euch eurer Kinder beraube und euer Vieh ausrotte und euer weniger mache; und eure Straßen sollen öde werden.
23Und wenn ihr euch durch dieses nicht von mir zurechtweisen laßt und mir entgegen wandelt,
24so werde auch ich euch entgegen wandeln, und auch ich werde euch siebenfach schlagen wegen eurer Sünden.
25Und ich werde das Schwert über euch bringen, das die Rache des Bundes vollzieht; und ziehet ihr euch in eure Städte zurück, so werde ich die Pest in eure Mitte senden, und ihr werdet in die Hand des Feindes gegeben werden.
26Indem ich euch die Stütze des Brotes zerbreche, werden zehn Weiber euer Brot backen in einem Ofen, und sie werden euch das Brot zurückgeben nach dem Gewicht; und ihr werdet essen und nicht satt werden.
27Und wenn ihr bei alledem mir nicht gehorchet und mir entgegen wandelt,
28so werde auch ich euch entgegen wandeln im Grimm, und werde euch siebenfach züchtigen wegen eurer Sünden.
29Und ihr werdet das Fleisch eurer Söhne essen, und das Fleisch eurer Töchter werdet ihr essen.
30Und ich werde eure Höhen vertilgen und eure Sonnensäulen ausrotten und werde eure Leichname auf die Leichname eurer Götzen werfen, und meine Seele wird euch verabscheuen.
31Und ich werde eure Städte zur Öde machen und eure Heiligtümer verwüsten, und werde euren lieblichen Geruch nicht riechen.
32Und ich werde das Land verwüsten, daß eure Feinde, die darin wohnen, sich darüber entsetzen sollen.
33Euch aber werde ich unter die Nationen zerstreuen, und ich werde das Schwert ziehen hinter euch her; und euer Land wird eine Wüste sein und eure Städte eine Öde.
34Dann wird das Land seine Sabbathe genießen alle die Tage seiner Verwüstung, während ihr im Lande eurer Feinde seid; dann wird das Land ruhen und seine Sabbathe genießen;
35alle die Tage seiner Verwüstung wird es ruhen, was es nicht geruht hat in euren Sabbathen, als ihr darin wohntet.
36Und die Übriggebliebenen von euch, in ihr Herz werde ich Feigheit bringen in den Ländern ihrer Feinde: Und es wird sie jagen das Rauschen eines verwehten Blattes, und sie werden fliehen, wie man vor dem Schwerte flieht, und fallen, obwohl niemand sie jagt;
37und sie werden einer über den anderen hinstürzen, wie vor dem Schwerte, obwohl niemand sie jagt; und ihr werdet nicht standhalten können vor euren Feinden.
38Und ihr werdet umkommen unter den Nationen, und das Land eurer Feinde wird euch fressen.
39Und die Übriggebliebenen von euch werden in den Ländern eurer Feinde hinschwinden in ihrer Ungerechtigkeit, und auch in den Ungerechtigkeiten ihrer Väter mit ihnen hinschwinden.
40Und sie werden ihre Ungerechtigkeit bekennen und die Ungerechtigkeit ihrer Väter infolge ihrer Treulosigkeit, die sie gegen mich begangen haben, und auch daß, weil sie mir entgegen gewandelt sind,
41auch ich ihnen entgegen wandelte und sie in das Land ihrer Feinde brachte. Wenn alsdann ihr unbeschnittenes Herz sich demütigt und sie dann die Strafe ihrer Ungerechtigkeit annehmen,
42so werde ich meines Bundes mit Jakob gedenken; und auch meines Bundes mit Isaak und auch meines Bundes mit Abraham werde ich gedenken, und des Landes werde ich gedenken.
43Denn das Land wird von ihnen verlassen sein, und es wird seine Sabbathe genießen, in seiner Verwüstung ohne sie; und sie selbst werden die Strafe ihrer Ungerechtigkeit annehmen, darum, ja darum, daß sie meine Rechte verachtet und ihre Seele meine Satzungen verabscheut hat.
44Aber selbst auch dann, wenn sie in dem Lande ihrer Feinde sind, werde ich sie nicht verachten und sie nicht verabscheuen, ihnen den Garaus zu machen, meinen Bund mit ihnen zu brechen; denn ich bin Jehova, ihr Gott.
45Und ich werde ihnen meines Bundes mit den Vorfahren gedenken, die ich aus dem Lande Ägypten vor den Augen der Nationen herausgeführt habe, um ihr Gott zu sein. Ich bin Jehova.
46Das sind die Satzungen und die Rechte und die Gesetze, welche Jehova zwischen ihm und den Kindern Israel auf dem Berge Sinai durch Mose gegeben hat.

1NO haréis para vosotros ídolos, ni escultura, ni os levantaréis estatua, ni pondréis en vuestra tierra piedra pintada para inclinaros á ella: porque yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
2Guardad mis sábados, y tened en reverencia mi santuario: Yo Jehová.
3Si anduviereis en mis decretos, y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra;
4Yo daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra rendirá sus producciones, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto;
5Y la trilla os alcanzará á la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará á la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan en hartura, y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra:
6Y yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante: y haré quitar las malas bestias de vuestra tierra, y no pasará por vuestro país la espada:
7Y perseguiréis á vuestros enemigos, y caerán á cuchillo delante de vosotros:
8Y cinco de vosotros perseguirán á ciento, y ciento de vosotros perseguirán á diez mil, y vuestros enemigos caerán á cuchillo delante de vosotros.
9Porque yo me volveré á vosotros, y os haré crecer, y os multiplicaré, y afirmaré mi pacto con vosotros:
10Y comeréis lo añejo de mucho tiempo, y sacaréis fuera lo añejo á causa de lo nuevo:
11Y pondré mi morada en medio de vosotros, y mi alma no os abominará:
12Y andaré entre vosotros, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis mi pueblo.
13Yo Jehová vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para que no fueseis sus siervos; y rompí las coyundas de vuestro yugo, y os he hecho andar el rostro alto.
14Empero si no me oyereis, ni hiciereis todos estos mis mandamientos,
15Y si abominareis mis decretos, y vuestra alma menospreciare mis derechos, no ejecutando todos mis mandamientos, é invalidando mi pacto;
16Yo también haré con vosotros esto: enviaré sobre vosotros terror, extenuación y calentura, que consuman los ojos y atormenten el alma: y sembraréis en balde vuestra simiente, porque vuestros enemigos la comerán:
17Y pondré mi ira sobre vosotros, y seréis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos; y los que os aborrecen se enseñorearán de vosotros, y huiréis sin que haya quien os persiga.
18Y si aun con esas cosas no me oyereis, yo tornaré á castigaros siete veces más por vuestros pecados.
19Y quebrantaré la soberbia de vuestra fortaleza, y tornaré vuestro cielo como hierro, y vuestra tierra como metal:
20Y vuestra fuerza se consumirá en vano; que vuestra tierra no dará su esquilmo, y los árboles de la tierra no darán su fruto.
21Y si anduviereis conmigo en oposición, y no me quisiereis oir, yo añadiré sobre vosotros siete veces más plagas según vuestros pecados.
22Enviaré también contra vosotros bestias fieras que os arrebaten los hijos, y destruyan vuestros animales, y os apoquen, y vuestros caminos sean desiertos.
23Y si con estas cosas no fuereis corregidos, sino que anduviereis conmigo en oposición,
24Yo también procederé con vosotros en oposición, y os heriré aun siete veces por vuestros pecados:
25Y traeré sobre vosotros espada vengadora, en vindicación del pacto; y os recogeréis á vuestras ciudades; mas yo enviaré pestilencia entre vosotros, y seréis entregados en mano del enemigo.
26Cuando yo os quebrantare el arrimo del pan, cocerán diez mujeres vuestro pan en un horno, y os devolverán vuestro pan por peso; y comeréis, y no os hartaréis.
27Y si con esto no me oyereis, mas procediereis conmigo en oposición,
28Yo procederé con vosotros en contra y con ira, y os castigaré aun siete veces por vuestros pecados.
29Y comeréis las carnes de vuestros hijos, y comeréis las carnes de vuestras hijas:
30Y destruiré vuestros altos, y talaré vuestras imágenes, y pondré vuestros cuerpos muertos sobre los cuerpos muertos de vuestros ídolos, y mi alma os abominará:
31Y pondré vuestras ciudades en desierto, y asolaré vuestros santuarios, y no oleré la fragancia de vuestro suave perfume.
32Yo asolaré también la tierra, y se pasmarán de ella vuestros enemigos que en ella moran:
33Y á vosotros os esparciré por las gentes, y desenvainaré espada en pos de vosotros: y vuestra tierra estará asolada, y yermas vuestras ciudades.
34Entonces la tierra holgará sus sábados todos los días que estuviere asolada, y vosotros en la tierra de vuestros enemigos: la tierra descansará entonces y gozará sus sábados.
35Todo el tiempo que estará asolada, holgará lo que no holgó en vuestros sábados mientras habitabais en ella.
36Y á los que quedaren de vosotros infundiré en sus corazones tal cobardía, en la tierra de sus enemigos, que el sonido de una hoja movida los perseguirá, y huirán como de cuchillo, y caerán sin que nadie los persiga:
37Y tropezarán los unos en los otros, como si huyeran delante de cuchillo, aunque nadie los persiga; y no podréis resistir delante de vuestros enemigos.
38Y pereceréis entre las gentes, y la tierra de vuestros enemigos os consumirá.
39Y los que quedaren de vosotros decaerán en las tierras de vuestros enemigos por su iniquidad; y por la iniquidad de sus padres decaerán con ellos:
40Y confesarán su iniquidad, y la iniquidad de sus padres, por su prevaricación con que prevaricaron contra mí: y también porque anduvieron conmigo en oposición,
41Yo también habré andado con ellos en contra, y los habré metido en la tierra de sus enemigos: y entonces se humillará su corazón incircunciso, y reconocerán su pecado;
42Y yo me acordaré de mi pacto con Jacob, y asimismo de mi pacto con Isaac, y también de mi pacto con Abraham me acordaré; y haré memoria de la tierra.
43Que la tierra estará desamparada de ellos, y holgará sus sábados, estando yerma á causa de ellos; mas entretanto se someterán al castigo de sus iniquidades: por cuanto menospreciaron mis derechos, y tuvo el alma de ellos fastidio de mis estatutos.
44Y aun con todo esto, estando ellos en tierra de sus enemigos, yo no los desecharé, ni los abominaré para consumirlos, invalidando mi pacto con ellos: porque yo Jehová soy su Dios:
45Antes me acordaré de ellos por el pacto antiguo, cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto á los ojos de las gentes, para ser su Dios: Yo Jehová.
46Estos son los decretos, derechos y leyes que estableció Jehová entre sí y los hijos de Israel en el monte de Sinaí por mano de Moisés.

1Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
2Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
3If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
8And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
9For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
10And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
11And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
13I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
14But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
20And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
21And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
22I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
23And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
24Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
25And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
27And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
30And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
31And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
32And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
33And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
34Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
35As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
36And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
37And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
38And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
40If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
41And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
42Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
43The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
44And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.
45But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
46These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

1“‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, and you shall not raise up a carved image or a pillar, and you shall not place any figured stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.
2“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the LORD.
3“‘If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments, and do them,
4then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5Your threshing shall continue until the vintage, and the vintage shall continue until the sowing time. You shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

16I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away. You will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it.
17I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.
18“‘If you in spite of these things will not listen to me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.
19I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like bronze.

25I will bring a sword upon you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant. You will be gathered together within your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you. You will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

32I will bring the land into desolation, and your enemies who dwell in it will be astonished at it.
33I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you. Your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
34Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.
35As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your Sabbaths when you lived on it.
36“‘As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword. They will fall when no one pursues.
37They will stumble over one another, as it were before the sword, when no one pursues. You will have no power to stand before your enemies.
38You will perish among the nations. The land of your enemies will eat you up.
39Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers they shall pine away with them.
40“‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me; and also that because they walked contrary to me,
41I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,
42then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.
43The land also will be left by them, and will enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity because they rejected my ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes.
44Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God.
45But I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am the LORD.’”
