Después de esto, el Señor designó a otros 70, a quienes envió de dos en dos a los lugares a donde Él pensaba ir.
Y DESPUÉS de estas cosas, designó el Señor aun otros setenta, los cuales envió de dos en dos delante de sí, á toda ciudad y lugar á donde él había de venir.
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

Y les decía: La cosecha en verdad es mucha, y los obreros pocos. Hablen, pues, con el Señor de la cosecha para que envíe obreros a su cosecha.

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Then he said to them, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest.
¡Vayan! Consideren que los envío como corderos en medio de lobos.

No lleven bolsa de dinero, ni mochila, ni sandalias y a ninguno saluden en el camino.

Cuando entren a una casa primeramente digan: ¡Paz sea a esta casa!
En cualquiera casa donde entrareis, primeramente decid: Paz sea á esta casa.
And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

Si vive ahí un hijo de paz, la paz de ustedes reposará sobre él, y si no, regresará a ustedes.

And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

Permanezcan en esa misma casa, coman y beban lo que les den, porque el obrero es digno de su salario. No vayan de casa en casa.
Y posad en aquella misma casa, comiendo y bebiendo lo que os dieren; porque el obrero digno es de su salario. No os paséis de casa en casa.
And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house.
En cualquier ciudad donde entren y los reciban, coman lo que les sirvan,
Y en cualquier ciudad donde entrareis, y os recibieren, comed lo que os pusieren delante;
And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

sanen a los enfermos que estén allí y díganles: El reino de Dios se acercó a ustedes.
Y sanad los enfermos que en ella hubiere, y decidles: Se ha llegado á vosotros el reino de Dios.
And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
Pero en cualquier ciudad donde entren y no los reciban, salgan a sus plazas y digan:

Les sacudimos aun el polvo de su ciudad que se nos pegó a los pies. Pero sepan esto: El reino de Dios se acercó.
Aun el polvo que se nos ha pegado de vuestra ciudad á nuestros pies, sacudimos en vosotros: esto empero sabed, que el reino de los cielos se ha llegado á vosotros.
Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
Les digo que en el día del juicio será más tolerable el juicio para Sodoma que para aquella ciudad.
Y os digo que los de Sodoma tendrán más remisión aquel día, que aquella ciudad.
But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
¡Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay de ti, Betsaida! Porque si en Tiro y Sidón se hubieran hecho los milagros que se hicieron en ustedes, hace tiempo habrían cambiado de mente, sentadas en tela áspera y ceniza.
¡Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay de ti, Bethsaida! que si en Tiro y en Sidón hubieran sido hechas las maravillas que se han hecho en vosotras, ya días ha que, sentados en cilicio y ceniza, se habrían arrepentido.
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
Por tanto el juicio será más tolerable para Tiro y Sidón que para ustedes.
Por tanto, Tiro y Sidón tendrán más remisión que vosotras en el juicio.
But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

Y tú, Cafarnaúm, ¿serás exaltada hasta el cielo? ¡Hasta el infierno te hundirás!

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

El que los oye a ustedes, me oye. El que los rechaza, me rechaza. El que me rechaza, rechaza al que me envió.
El que á vosotros oye, á mí oye; y el que á vosotros desecha, á mí desecha; y el que á mí desecha, desecha al que me envió.
He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
Los 70 regresaron con gozo y decían: Señor, aun los demonios se nos someten en tu Nombre.
Y volvieron los setenta con gozo, diciendo: Señor, aun los demonios se nos sujetan en tu nombre.
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
Les dijo: Yo veía a Satanás que cayó del cielo como un rayo.

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Recuerden que les di potestad de pisar serpientes y escorpiones y sobre todo el poder del enemigo, y que de ningún modo algo les haga daño.
He aquí os doy potestad de hollar sobre las serpientes y sobre los escorpiones, y sobre toda fuerza del enemigo, y nada os dañará.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Pero no se regocijen por esto, que los espíritus se les sometan, sino regocíjense porque sus nombres están inscritos en los cielos.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
En aquella misma hora se regocijó muchísimo en el Espíritu Santo y dijo: Te alabo, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque escondiste estas cosas de sabios e inteligentes y las revelaste a niños. Sí, Padre, porque así te agradó.
En aquella misma hora Jesús se alegró en espíritu, y dijo: Yo te alabo, oh Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, que escondiste estas cosas á los sabios y entendidos, y las has revelado á los pequeños: así, Padre, porque así te agradó.
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
In that same hour, Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”
Todas las cosas me fueron entregadas por mi Padre. Nadie conoce quién es el Hijo sino el Padre, ni quién es el Padre sino el Hijo y aquel a quien el Hijo quiera revelarse.
Todas las cosas me son entregadas de mi Padre: y nadie sabe quién sea el Hijo sino el Padre; ni quién sea el Padre, sino el Hijo, y á quien el Hijo lo quisiere revelar.
All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
Turning to the disciples, he said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”
Al dar la vuelta hacia los discípulos en privado, les dijo: Inmensamente felices los ojos que ven lo que ustedes ven,

porque les digo que muchos profetas y reyes desearon ver lo que ustedes ven, y no lo vieron, y oír lo que escuchan, y no lo escucharon.

For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

De repente un doctor de la Ley apareció para probarlo y preguntó: Maestro, ¿qué haré para heredar la vida eterna?
Y he aquí, un doctor de la ley se levantó, tentándole y diciendo: Maestro, ¿haciendo qué cosa poseeré la vida eterna?
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
Jesús le preguntó: ¿Qué está escrito en la Ley? ¿Cómo lees?
Y él le dijo: ¿Qué está escrito en la ley? ¿cómo lees?
He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?”
Él contestó: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo corazón, con toda tu alma, con todas tus fuerzas, con todo tu entendimiento, y a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.
Y él respondiendo, dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de todas tus fuerzas, y de todo tu entendimiento; y á tu prójimo como á ti mismo.
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
Le dijo: Respondiste correctamente. Haz esto y vivirás.
Y díjole: Bien has respondido: haz esto, y vivirás.
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”
Pero él para justificarse preguntó a Jesús: ¿Quién es mi prójimo?
Mas él, queriéndose justificar á sí mismo, dijo á Jesús: ¿Y quién es mi prójimo?
But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”
Jesús le respondió: Un hombre bajaba de Jerusalén a Jericó y cayó en manos de salteadores. Lo desnudaron, lo golpearon, lo dejaron medio muerto y huyeron.
Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Un hombre descendía de Jerusalem á Jericó, y cayó en manos de ladrones, los cuales le despojaron; é hiriéndole, se fueron, dejándole medio muerto.
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Un sacerdote bajaba por aquel camino y al verlo, pasó por el lado opuesto.
Y aconteció, que descendió un sacerdote por aquel camino, y viéndole, se pasó de un lado.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

Un levita llegó al lugar y cuando lo vio también pasó por el otro lado.
Y asimismo un Levita, llegando cerca de aquel lugar, y viéndole, se pasó de un lado.

Pero un samaritano que viajaba, pasó cerca de él. Lo vio y fue movido a compasión.
Mas un Samaritano que transitaba, viniendo cerca de él, y viéndole, fué movido á misericordia;
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

Se acercó, le vendó las heridas, les derramó aceite y vino, y lo puso sobre su propia cabalgadura. Lo llevó a un hospedaje y cuidó de él.
Y llegándose, vendó sus heridas, echándoles aceite y vino; y poniéndole sobre su cabalgadura, llevóle al mesón, y cuidó de él.
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

Cuando salió el día siguiente le dio dos denarios al hospedador y le dijo: Cuídalo, y lo que gastes de más, yo te lo pagaré cuando regrese.
Y otro día al partir, sacó dos denarios, y diólos al huésped, y le dijo: Cuídamele; y todo lo que de más gastares, yo cuando vuelva te lo pagaré.
And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’
¿Quién de estos tres te parece que fue prójimo del que cayó entre los salteadores?
¿Quién, pues, de estos tres te parece que fué el prójimo de aquél que cayó en manos de los ladrones?
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

Y él contestó: El que hizo la misericordia con él. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Vé y haz tú lo mismo.
Y él dijo: El que usó con él de misericordia. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Ve, y haz tú lo mismo.
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
He said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
Al proseguir ellos, Él entró a una aldea y una mujer llamada Marta lo hospedó.
Y aconteció que yendo, entró él en una aldea: y una mujer llamada Marta, le recibió en su casa.
Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

Ésta tenía una hermana llamada María, que escuchaba la Palabra sentada a los pies del Señor.
Y ésta tenía una hermana que se llamaba María, la cual sentándose á los pies de Jesús, oía su palabra.
And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.

Pero Marta, quien estaba atareada con muchos quehaceres, se acercó a Él y le dijo: Señor, ¿No te preocupa que mi hermana me dejó servir sola? Dile que me ayude.
Empero Marta se distraía en muchos servicios; y sobreviniendo, dice: Señor, ¿no tienes cuidado que mi hermana me deja servir sola? Dile pues, que me ayude.
But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.”
Entonces el Señor le respondió: Marta, Marta, estás afanada y distraída en muchas cosas,
Pero respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Marta, Marta, cuidadosa estás, y con las muchas cosas estás turbada:
And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
pero solo una es necesaria. María escogió la buena parte, la cual no se le quitará.
Empero una cosa es necesaria; y María escogió la buena parte, la cual no le será quitada.
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
