Y después de estas cosas, señaló el Señor aun otros setenta, a los cuales envió de dos en dos, delante de su faz a toda ciudad y lugar a donde él había de venir.

After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’

Y os digo, que Sodoma tendrá más remisión aquel día, que aquella ciudad.

¡Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay de ti, Betsaida! que si en Tiro, y en Sidón se hubieran hecho las maravillas que han sido hechas en vosotras, ya días ha, que sentados en cilicio y ceniza, se hubieran arrepentido:

¡Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay de ti, Bethsaida! que si en Tiro y en Sidón hubieran sido hechas las maravillas que se han hecho en vosotras, ya días ha que, sentados en cilicio y ceniza, se habrían arrepentido.

Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Por tanto Tiro y Sidón tendrán más remisión que vosotras en el juicio.

He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

Y volvieron los setenta con gozo, diciendo: Señor, aun los demonios se nos sujetan por tu nombre.

Empero no os regocijéis de esto, de que los espíritus se os sujeten; mas antes regocijáos de que vuestros nombres están escritos en los cielos.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

¶ En aquella misma hora Jesús se alegró en espíritu, y dijo: Alábote, oh Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, que escondiste estas cosas a los sabios y entendidos, y las has revelado a los pequeños: así Padre, porque así te agradó.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

In that same hour, Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”

Todas las cosas me son entregadas de mi Padre; y nadie sabe quien sea el Hijo, sino el Padre; ni quien sea el Padre, sino el Hijo, y aquel a quien el Hijo le quisiere revelar.

All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Turning to the disciples, he said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”

For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

¶ Y he aquí, que un doctor de la ley se levantó tentándole, y diciendo: Maestro, ¿haciendo qué cosa poseeré la vida eterna?

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Y él le dijo: ¿Qué está escrito en la ley? ¿Cómo lees?

Y él respondiendo, dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de todas tus fuerzas, y de todo tu entendimiento; y a tu prójimo, como a ti mismo.

He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”

And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Un hombre descendía de Jerusalem a Jericó, y cayó entre ladrones; los cuales le despojaron, e hiriéndole, se fueron, dejándole medio muerto.

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Y aconteció, que descendió un sacerdote por el mismo camino; y viéndole, se pasó del un lado.

And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

Y llegándose, le vendó las heridas, echándole en ellas aceite y vino; y poniéndole sobre su cabalgadura, le llevó al mesón, y cuidó de él.

And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

Y al otro día partiéndose, sacó dos denarios y los dio al mesonero, y le dijo: Cuida de él; y todo lo que de más gastares, yo cuando vuelva, te lo pagaré.

And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’

¿Quién, pues, de estos tres te parece que fue el prójimo de aquel que cayó entre ladrones?

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

Y él dijo: El que usó de misericordia con él. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Vé, y haz tú lo mismo.

And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

He said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

¶ Y aconteció, que yendo, entró él en una aldea; y una mujer llamada Marta le recibió en su casa.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

Y esta tenía una hermana, que se llamaba María, la cual sentándose a los pies de Jesús oía su palabra.

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.

Marta empero se distraía en muchos servicios; y sobreviniendo, dijo: Señor, ¿no tienes cuidado que mi hermana me deja servir sola? Díle, pues, que me ayude.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.”

Respondiendo Jesús entonces, le dijo: Marta, Marta, cuidadosa estás, y con las muchas cosas estás turbada:

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
