Personne après avoir allumé une lampe ne la met dans un lieu caché ou sous le boisseau ; mais on la met sur le pied de lampe, afin que ceux qui entrent voient la lumière.

Nadie pone en oculto la antorcha encendida, ni debajo del almud, sino en el candelero, para que los que entran vean la luz.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.
