Lucas 11

Un jour que Jésus était en prière en un certain lieu, lorsqu'il eut achevé, un de ses disciples lui dit : " Seigneur, apprenez-nous à prier, comme Jean l'a appris à ses disciples. "

Y ACONTECIÓ que estando él orando en un lugar, como acabó, uno de sus discípulos le dijo: Señor, enséñanos á orar, como también Juan enseñó á sus discípulos.

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

When he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.”

Il leur dit : " Lorsque vous priez, dites : Père, que votre nom soit sanctifié, que votre règne arrive.

Y les dijo: Cuando orareis, decid: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos; sea tu nombre santificado. Venga tu reino. Sea hecha tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra.

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

He said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Donnez-nous aujourd'hui le pain nécessaire à notre subsistance,

El pan nuestro de cada día, dánoslo hoy.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

et remettez-nous nos offenses, car nous remettons nous-mêmes à tous ceux qui nous doivent ; et ne nous induisez pas en tentation. "

Y perdónanos nuestros pecados, porque también nosotros perdonamos á todos los que nos deben. Y no nos metas en tentación, mas líbranos del malo.

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”

Il leur dit encore : " Si quelqu'un de vous, ayant un ami, va le trouver au milieu de la nuit, disant : Mon ami, prête-moi trois pains,

Díjoles también: ¿Quién de vosotros tendrá un amigo, é irá á él á media noche, y le dirá: Amigo, préstame tres panes,

And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

He said to them, “Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight and tell him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,

car un de mes ami qui voyage est arrivé chez moi, et je n'ai rien à lui offrir ;

Porque un amigo mío ha venido á mí de camino, y no tengo qué ponerle delante;

For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’

et que de l'intérieur de la maison, l'autre réponde : Ne m'importune point ; la porte est déjà fermée, mes enfants et moi nous sommes au lit ; je ne puis me lever pour te rien donner :

Y el de dentro respondiendo, dijere: No me seas molesto; la puerta está ya cerrada, y mis niños están conmigo en cama; no puedo levantarme, y darte?

And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

and he from within will answer and say, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’?

je vous le dis, quand même il ne se lèverait pas pour lui donner, parce qu'il est son ami, il se lèvera à cause de son importunité, et lui donnera autant de pains qu'il en a besoin.

Os digo, que aunque no se levante á darle por ser su amigo, cierto por su importunidad se levantará, y le dará todo lo que habrá menester.

I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.

Et moi je vous dis : Demandez, et l'on vous donnera ; cherchez, et vous trouverez ; frappez, et l'on vous ouvrira.

Y yo os digo: Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y os será abierto.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

“I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.

Car quiconque demande, reçoit ; et qui cherche, trouve, et l'on ouvrira à celui qui frappe.

Porque todo aquel que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que llama, se abre.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.

Quel est parmi vous le père qui, si son fils lui demande du pain, lui donne une pierre ? ou, si c'est un poisson, lui donnera-t-il, au lieu de poisson, un serpent ?

¿Y cuál padre de vosotros, si su hijo le pidiere pan, le dará una piedra? ó, si pescado, ¿en lugar de pescado, le dará una serpiente?

If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?

ou, s'il lui demande un œuf, lui donnera-t-il un scorpion ?

O, si le pidiere un huevo, ¿le dará un escorpión?

Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he?

Si donc vous, tout méchants que vous êtes, vous savez donner à vos enfants de bonnes choses, combien plus votre Père céleste donnera-t-il l'Esprit-Saint à ceux qui le lui demandent ? "

Pues si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas dádivas á vuestros hijos, ¿cuánto más vuestro Padre celestial dará el Espíritu Santo á los que lo pidieren de él?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

Jésus chassait un démon, et ce démon était muet. Lorsque le démon fut sorti, le muet parla, et le peuple était dans l'admiration.

Y estaba él lanzando un demonio, el cual era mudo: y aconteció que salido fuera el demonio, el mudo habló, y las gentes se maravillaron.

And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.

He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marveled.

Mais quelques-uns d'entre eux dirent : " C'est par Béelzébub, prince des démons, qu'il chasse les démons. "

Mas algunos de ellos decían: En Beelzebub, príncipe de los demonios, echa fuera los demonios.

But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”

D'autres, pour l'éprouver, lui demandèrent un signe dans le ciel.

Y otros, tentando, pedían de él señal del cielo.

And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

Others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.

Connaissant leurs pensées, Jésus leur dit : " Tout royaume divisé contre lui-même, se détruit, les maisons tombent l'une sur l'autre.

Mas él, conociendo los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo, es asolado; y una casa dividida contra sí misma, cae.

But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.

Si donc Satan est divisé contre lui-même, comment son royaume subsistera-t-il ? Car vous dites que c'est par Béelzébub que je chasse les démons.

Y si también Satanás está dividido contra sí mismo, ¿cómo estará en pie su reino? porque decís que en Beelzebub echo yo fuera los demonios.

If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

Et si, moi, je chasse les démons par Béelzébub, vos fils, par qui les chassent-ils ? C'est pourquoi ils seront eux-mêmes vos juges.

Pues si yo echo fuera los demonios en Beelzebub, ¿vuestros hijos en quién los echan fuera? Por tanto, ellos serán vuestros jueces.

And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

But if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.

Mais si c'est par le doigt de Dieu que je chasse les démons, le royaume de Dieu est donc venu à vous.

Mas si por el dedo de Dios echo yo fuera los demonios, cierto el reino de Dios ha llegado á vosotros.

But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

But if I by God’s finger cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come to you.

Lorsqu'un homme fort et bien armé garde l'entrée de sa maison, ce qu'il possède est en sûreté.

Cuando el fuerte armado guarda su atrio, en paz está lo que posee.

When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

“When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.

Mais qu'il en survienne un plus fort qui le vainque, il lui enlève toutes les armes dans lesquelles il se confiait, et il partage ses dépouilles.

Mas si sobreviniendo otro más fuerte que él, le venciere, le toma todas sus armas en que confiaba, y reparte sus despojos.

But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides his plunder.

Qui n'est pas avec moi est contre moi, et qui n'amasse pas avec moi, dissipe.

El que no es conmigo, contra mí es; y el que conmigo no recoge, desparrama.

He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

“He who is not with me is against me. He who doesn’t gather with me scatters.

Lorsque l'esprit impur est sorti d'un homme, il va par des lieux arides, cherchant du repos. N'en trouvant point, il dit : Je retournerai dans ma maison, d'où je suis sorti.

Cuando el espíritu inmundo saliere del hombre, anda por lugares secos, buscando reposo; y no hallándolo, dice: Me volveré á mi casa de donde salí.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will turn back to my house from which I came out.’

Et quand il arrive, il la trouve nettoyée et ornée.

Y viniendo, la halla barrida y adornada.

And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

When he returns, he finds it swept and put in order.

Alors il s'en va, prend avec lui sept autres esprits plus méchants que lui ; puis ils entrent et s'y établissent : et le dernier état de cet homme devient pire que le premier. "

Entonces va, y toma otros siete espíritus peores que él; y entrados, habitan allí: y lo postrero del tal hombre es peor que lo primero.

Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

Then he goes and takes seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first.”

Comme il parlait ainsi, une femme élevant la voix du milieu de la foule, lui dit : " Heureux le sein qui vous a porté, et les mamelles que vous avez sucées ! "

Y aconteció que diciendo estas cosas, una mujer de la compañía, levantando la voz, le dijo: Bienaventurado el vientre que te trajo, y los pechos que mamaste.

And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

It came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts which nursed you!”

Jésus répondit : " Heureux plutôt ceux qui écoutent la parole de Dieu et qui la gardent ! "

Y él dijo: Antes bienaventurados los que oyen la palabra de Dios, y la guardan.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

But he said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.”

Le peuple s'amassant en foules, il se mit à dire : " Cette génération est une génération méchante ; elle demande un signe, et il ne lui en sera point donné d'autre que celui du prophète Jonas.

Y juntándose las gentes á él, comenzó á decir: Esta generación mala es: señal busca, mas señal no le será dada, sino la señal de Jonás.

And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.

Car, de même que Jonas fut un signe pour les Ninivites, ainsi le Fils de l'homme sera un signe pour cette génération.

Porque como Jonás fué señal á los Ninivitas, así también será el Hijo del hombre á esta generación.

For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so the Son of Man will also be to this generation.

La reine du Midi se lèvera, au jour du jugement, avec les hommes de cette génération, et les condamnera, parce qu'elle est venue des extrémités de la terre entendre la sagesse de Salomon : et il y a ici plus que Salomon.

La reina del Austro se levantará en juicio con los hombres de esta generación, y los condenará; porque vino de los fines de la tierra á oir la sabiduría de Salomón; y he aquí más que Salomón en este lugar.

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and will condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, one greater than Solomon is here.

Les hommes de Ninive se lèveront, au jour du jugement, avec cette génération et la condamneront, parce qu'ils ont fait pénitence à la prédication de Jonas ; et il y a ici plus que Jonas.

Los hombres de Nínive se levantarán en juicio con esta generación, y la condenarán; porque á la predicación de Jonás se arrepintieron; y he aquí más que Jonás en este lugar.

The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, one greater than Jonah is here.

Personne n'allume une lampe pour la mettre dans un lieu caché ou sous le boisseau : on la met sur le chandelier, afin que ceux qui entrent voient la lumière.

Nadie pone en oculto la antorcha encendida, ni debajo del almud, sino en el candelero, para que los que entran vean la luz.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.

La lampe de ton corps, c'est ton œil. Si ton œil est sain, tout ton corps sera dans la lumière ; s'il est mauvais, ton corps aussi sera dans les ténèbres.

La antorcha del cuerpo es el ojo: pues si tu ojo fuere simple, también todo tu cuerpo será resplandeciente; mas si fuere malo, también tu cuerpo será tenebroso.

The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness.

Prends donc garde que la lumière qui est en toi ne soit ténèbres.

Mira pues, si la lumbre que en ti hay, es tinieblas.

Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness.

Si donc tout ton corps est dans la lumière, sans mélange de ténèbres, il sera éclairé tout entier, comme lorsque brille sur toi la clarté d'une lampe. "

Así que, siendo todo tu cuerpo resplandeciente, no teniendo alguna parte de tinieblas, será todo luminoso, como cuando una antorcha de resplandor te alumbra.

If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining gives you light.”

Pendant qu'il parlait, un Pharisien le pria de dîner chez lui ; Jésus entra et se mit à table.

Y luego que hubo hablado, rogóle un Fariseo que comiese con él: y entrado Jesús, se sentó á la mesa.

And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

Now as he spoke, a certain Pharisee asked him to dine with him. He went in and sat at the table.

Or le Pharisien vit avec étonnement qu'il n'avait point fait l'ablution avant le dîner.

Y el Fariseo, como lo vió, maravillóse de que no se lavó antes de comer.

And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.

When the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed himself before dinner.

Le Seigneur lui dit : " Vous, Pharisiens, vous nettoyez le dehors de la coupe et du plat ; mais au dedans de vous tout est plein de rapine et d'iniquité.

Y el Señor le dijo: Ahora vosotros los Fariseos lo de fuera del vaso y del plato limpiáis; mas lo interior de vosotros está lleno de rapiña y de maldad.

And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

The Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness.

Insensés ! celui qui a fait le dehors n'a-t-il pas fait aussi le dedans ?

Necios, ¿el que hizo lo de fuera, no hizo también lo de dentro?

Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

You foolish ones, didn’t he who made the outside make the inside also?

Toutefois, donnez l'aumône selon vos moyens, et tout sera pur pour vous.

Empero de lo que os resta, dad limosna; y he aquí todo os será limpio.

But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.

Mais malheur à vous, Pharisiens, qui payez la dîme de la menthe, de la rue et de toute plante potagère et qui n'avez nul soucis de la justice et de l'amour de Dieu ! C'est là ce qu'il fallait pratiquer, sans omettre le reste.

Mas ¡ay de vosotros, Fariseos! que diezmáis la menta, y la ruda, y toda hortaliza; mas el juicio y la caridad de Dios pasáis de largo. Pues estas cosas era necesario hacer, y no dejar las otras.

But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and God’s love. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.

Malheur à vous, Pharisiens, qui aimez les premiers sièges dans les synagogues, et les salutations dans les places publiques !

¡Ay de vosotros, Fariseos! que amáis las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y las salutaciones en las plazas.

Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.

Malheur à vous, parce que vous ressemblez à des sépulcres qu'on ne voit pas et sur lesquels on marche sans le savoir ! "

¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! que sois como sepulcros que no se ven, y los hombres que andan encima no lo saben.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like hidden graves, and the men who walk over them don’t know it.”

Alors un docteurs de la Loi, prenant la parole, lui dit : " Maître, en parlant de la sorte, vous nous outragez aussi. "

Y respondiendo uno de los doctores de la ley, le dice: Maestro, cuando dices esto, también nos afrentas á nosotros.

Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.

One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying this you insult us also.”

Jésus répondit : " Et à vous aussi, docteurs de la Loi, malheur ! parce que vous chargez les hommes de fardeaux difficiles à porter, et vous-mêmes, vous n'y touchez pas d'un seul de vos doigts !

Y él dijo: ¡Ay de vosotros también, doctores de la ley! que cargáis á los hombres con cargas que no pueden llevar; mas vosotros ni aun con un dedo tocáis las cargas.

And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

He said, “Woe to you lawyers also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.

Malheur à vous, qui bâtissez des tombeaux aux prophètes, et ce sont vos pères qui les ont tués !

¡Ay de vosotros! que edificáis los sepulcros de los profetas, y los mataron vuestros padres.

Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

Vous servez donc de témoins et vous applaudissez aux œuvres de vos pères ; car eux les ont tués, et vous, vous leur bâtissez des tombeaux.

De cierto dais testimonio que consentís en los hechos de vuestros padres; porque á la verdad ellos los mataron, mas vosotros edificáis sus sepulcros.

Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.

So you testify and consent to the works of your fathers. For they killed them, and you build their tombs.

C'est pourquoi la Sagesse de Dieu a dit : Je leur enverrai des prophètes et des apôtres ; ils tueront plusieurs d'entre eux et en persécuteront d'autres :

Por tanto, la sabiduría de Dios también dijo: Enviaré á ellos profetas y apóstoles; y de ellos á unos matarán y á otros perseguirán;

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

Therefore also the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will kill and persecute,

afin qu'il soit redemandé compte à cette génération du sang de tous les prophètes qui a été répandu depuis la création du monde,

Para que de esta generación sea demandada la sangre de todos los profetas, que ha sido derramada desde la fundación del mundo;

That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation,

depuis le sang d'Abel jusqu'au sang de Zacharie, tué entre l'autel et le sanctuaire. Oui, je vous le dis, il en sera redemandé compte à cette génération.

Desde la sangre de Abel, hasta la sangre de Zacarías, que murió entre el altar y el templo: así os digo, será demandada de esta generación.

From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary.’ Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.

Malheur à vous, docteurs de la Loi, parce que vous avez enlevé la clef de la science ; vous-mêmes n'êtes point entrés, et vous avez empêché ceux qui entraient ! "

¡Ay de vosotros, doctores de la ley! que habéis quitado la llave de la ciencia; vosotros mismos no entrasteis, y á los que entraban impedisteis.

Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Woe to you lawyers! For you took away the key of knowledge. You didn’t enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered.”

Comme Jésus leur disait ces choses, les Pharisiens et les Scribes se mirent à le presser vivement et à l'accabler de questions,

Y diciéndoles estas cosas, los escribas y los Fariseos comenzaron á apretarle en gran manera, y á provocarle á que hablase de muchas cosas;

And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

Acechándole, y procurando cazar algo de su boca para acusarle.

Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.
