And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ihr betet, so sprechet: Unser Vater in den Himmeln, geheiligt werde Dein Name. Dein Reich komme. Dein Wille geschehe, wie im Himmel, also auch auf Erden.
Y les dijo: Cuando orareis, decid: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos; sea tu nombre santificado. Venga tu reino. Sea hecha tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra.
And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

Denn mein Freund ist zu mir hergekommen von der Reise und ich habe nichts, ihm vorzusetzen!
Porque un amigo mío ha venido á mí de camino, y no tengo qué ponerle delante;
For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’
Und jener drinnen würde antworten und sagen: Mache mir keine Ungelegenheiten; die Tür ist schon verschlossen, und meine Kindlein sind bei mir zu Bette; ich kann nicht aufstehen und dir geben.
Y el de dentro respondiendo, dijere: No me seas molesto; la puerta está ya cerrada, y mis niños están conmigo en cama; no puedo levantarme, y darte?
And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
and he from within will answer and say, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’?
Ich sage euch: Wenn er auch nicht aufsteht und gibt ihm, weil er sein Freund ist, so wird er doch wegen seiner Unverschämtheit aufstehen und ihm geben, soviel er bedarf.
Os digo, que aunque no se levante á darle por ser su amigo, cierto por su importunidad se levantará, y le dará todo lo que habrá menester.
I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.
Und Ich sage euch: Bittet, so wird euch gegeben; suchet, so werdet ihr finden; klopfet an, so wird euch aufgetan.
Y yo os digo: Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y os será abierto.
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
“I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.
Denn jeder, der bittet, der empfängt, und wer da sucht, der findet, und wer da anklopft, dem wird aufgetan.
Porque todo aquel que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que llama, se abre.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
Wo ist aber unter euch ein Vater, der dem Sohne, so er ihn um Brot bäte, einen Stein übergäbe? oder auch ihm, so er um einen Fische bäte, statt eines Fisches eine Schlange übergäbe?
¿Y cuál padre de vosotros, si su hijo le pidiere pan, le dará una piedra? ó, si pescado, ¿en lugar de pescado, le dará una serpiente?
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
Oder ihm, so er ihn um ein Ei bäte, ihm einen Skorpion übergäbe?
O, si le pidiere un huevo, ¿le dará un escorpión?
Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he?
So nun ihr, die ihr doch arg seid, wisset euren Kindern gute Gaben zu geben, wieviel mehr wird der Vater aus dem Himmel den Heiligen Geist geben denen, die Ihn darum bitten?
Pues si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas dádivas á vuestros hijos, ¿cuánto más vuestro Padre celestial dará el Espíritu Santo á los que lo pidieren de él?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Und Er trieb einen Dämon aus, und der war stumm. Es geschah aber, als der Dämon ausgefahren war, daß der Stumme redete. Und das Gedränge verwunderte sich.
Y estaba él lanzando un demonio, el cual era mudo: y aconteció que salido fuera el demonio, el mudo habló, y las gentes se maravillaron.
And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marveled.
Etliche aber unter ihnen sagten: Durch Beelzebul, der Dämonen Obersten, treibt Er die Dämonen aus.

But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

Andere aber versuchten Ihn und begehrten ein Zeichen aus dem Himmel von Ihm.
Y otros, tentando, pedían de él señal del cielo.
And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

Er aber wußte ihre Gedanken und sprach zu ihnen: Jegliches Reich, das gegen sich selbst sich zerteilt, wird wüste, und so Haus ist wider Haus, fällt es.

Wenn aber der Satan auch gegen sich selbst zerteilt ist, wie kann sein Reich bestehen - weil ihr sagt, Ich treibe die Dämonen aus durch Beelzebul?
Y si también Satanás está dividido contra sí mismo, ¿cómo estará en pie su reino? porque decís que en Beelzebub echo yo fuera los demonios.
If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.
Wenn Ich aber die Dämonen durch Beelzebul austreibe, durch wen treiben dann eure Söhne sie aus? Darum werden sie eure Richter sein.
Pues si yo echo fuera los demonios en Beelzebub, ¿vuestros hijos en quién los echan fuera? Por tanto, ellos serán vuestros jueces.
And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

Wenn Ich aber durch Gottes Finger die Dämonen austreibe, so ist ja das Reich Gottes über euch herbeigekommen.
Mas si por el dedo de Dios echo yo fuera los demonios, cierto el reino de Dios ha llegado á vosotros.
But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
But if I by God’s finger cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come to you.
Wenn der Starke gewappnet seinen Hof hütet, so bleibt das Seinige im Frieden.
Cuando el fuerte armado guarda su atrio, en paz está lo que posee.
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
“When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.
Wenn aber ein Stärkerer denn er über ihn kommt und ihn überwindet, so nimmt er ihm seine Waffenrüstung weg, auf die er vertraute, und verteilt die Beute.
Mas si sobreviniendo otro más fuerte que él, le venciere, le toma todas sus armas en que confiaba, y reparte sus despojos.
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides his plunder.
Wer nicht mit Mir ist, der ist wider Mich, und wer nicht mit Mir sammelt, der zerstreut.
El que no es conmigo, contra mí es; y el que conmigo no recoge, desparrama.
He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

Wenn der unreine Geist vom Menschen ausgefahren ist, durchzieht er wasserlose Orte, sucht Ruhe und findet sie nicht; da spricht er: Ich will zurückkehren in mein Haus, daraus ich ausgegangen bin.
Cuando el espíritu inmundo saliere del hombre, anda por lugares secos, buscando reposo; y no hallándolo, dice: Me volveré á mi casa de donde salí.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will turn back to my house from which I came out.’
Und wenn er kommt, findet er es gekehrt und geschmückt;
Y viniendo, la halla barrida y adornada.
And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
When he returns, he finds it swept and put in order.
Dann geht er hin und nimmt zu sich sieben andere Geister, ärger denn er, und sie gehen ein und wohnen daselbst, und es wird das Letzte bei selbigen Menschen ärger, als das Erste.
Entonces va, y toma otros siete espíritus peores que él; y entrados, habitan allí: y lo postrero del tal hombre es peor que lo primero.
Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
Then he goes and takes seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first.”
Und es geschah, da Er solches redete, erhob ein Weib aus dem Gedränge die Stimme und sprach zu Ihm: Selig ist der Leib, der Dich getragen, und die Brüste, die Du gesogen hast.
Y aconteció que diciendo estas cosas, una mujer de la compañía, levantando la voz, le dijo: Bienaventurado el vientre que te trajo, y los pechos que mamaste.
And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
It came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts which nursed you!”
Er aber sprach: Selig sind vielmehr, die das Wort Gottes hören und bewahren.
Y él dijo: Antes bienaventurados los que oyen la palabra de Dios, y la guardan.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
But he said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.”
Als aber das Gedränge hinzuströmte, fing Er an zu sprechen: Dies Geschlecht ist arg; es sucht ein Zeichen, und kein Zeichen soll ihm gegeben werden, denn nur das Zeichen Jonas, des Propheten.
Y juntándose las gentes á él, comenzó á decir: Esta generación mala es: señal busca, mas señal no le será dada, sino la señal de Jonás.
And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
Denn wie Jonas den Nineviten zum Zeichen ward, so soll es auch des Menschen Sohn sein diesem Geschlechte.
Porque como Jonás fué señal á los Ninivitas, así también será el Hijo del hombre á esta generación.
For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so the Son of Man will also be to this generation.
Die Königin von Mittag wird im Gericht auftreten mit den Männern dieses Geschlechtes und sie verdammen; denn sie kam von den Enden der Erde, Salomohs Weisheit zu hören; und siehe, hier ist mehr den Salomoh!
La reina del Austro se levantará en juicio con los hombres de esta generación, y los condenará; porque vino de los fines de la tierra á oir la sabiduría de Salomón; y he aquí más que Salomón en este lugar.
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Die Männer von Nineveh werden aufstehen im Gericht mit diesem Geschlecht und es verdammen; denn sie taten Buße auf die Predigt des Jonas; und siehe, hier ist mehr denn Jonas.

Niemand zündet aber eine Kerze an und setzt sie ins Verborgene oder unter den Scheffel, sondern auf den Leuchter, daß die, so eintreten, den Schein erblicken.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.
Das Licht des Leibes ist das Auge. Wenn dein Auge einfältig ist, so ist auch dein ganzer Leib licht; so aber dein Auge böse ist, ist auch dein Leib finster.
La antorcha del cuerpo es el ojo: pues si tu ojo fuere simple, también todo tu cuerpo será resplandeciente; mas si fuere malo, también tu cuerpo será tenebroso.
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness.
So schaue denn darauf, daß nicht das Licht in dir Finsternis sei.

Da Er aber redete, bat Ihn ein Pharisäer, Er möchte bei ihm frühstücken. Und Er ging hinein und ließ Sich nieder.
Y luego que hubo hablado, rogóle un Fariseo que comiese con él: y entrado Jesús, se sentó á la mesa.
And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
Now as he spoke, a certain Pharisee asked him to dine with him. He went in and sat at the table.
Da das der Pharisäer sah, verwunderte er sich, daß Er Sich nicht vor dem Mahle gewaschen hatte.
Y el Fariseo, como lo vió, maravillóse de que no se lavó antes de comer.
And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.

Der Herr aber sprach zu ihm: Ihr Pharisäer reinigt wohl das Auswendige des Kelches und der Platte, das Inwendige bei euch ist aber soll von Raub und Schlechtigkeit.
Y el Señor le dijo: Ahora vosotros los Fariseos lo de fuera del vaso y del plato limpiáis; mas lo interior de vosotros está lleno de rapiña y de maldad.
And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
The Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness.
Ihr Toren, hat nicht der das Auswendige machte, auch das Inwendige gemacht?
Necios, ¿el que hizo lo de fuera, no hizo también lo de dentro?
Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?
You foolish ones, didn’t he who made the outside make the inside also?
Gebt jedoch Almosen von dem, was da ist, und siehe, alles ist rein für euch.
Empero de lo que os resta, dad limosna; y he aquí todo os será limpio.
But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.
But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.
Aber wehe euch Pharisäern, daß ihr verzehntet die Minze und die Raute und jegliches Gartenkraut, und geht vorbei an dem Gericht und der Liebe zu Gott. Dies sollte man tun und jenes nicht lassen.
Mas ¡ay de vosotros, Fariseos! que diezmáis la menta, y la ruda, y toda hortaliza; mas el juicio y la caridad de Dios pasáis de largo. Pues estas cosas era necesario hacer, y no dejar las otras.
But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Wehe euch Pharisäern, daß ihr liebt den ersten Sitz in den Synagogen und die Grüße auf dem Markte.
¡Ay de vosotros, Fariseos! que amáis las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y las salutaciones en las plazas.
Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

Wehe euch Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäern, ihr Heuchler, daß ihr seid wie ungesehene Gräber, und die Menschen wandeln darüber und wissen es nicht.
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! que sois como sepulcros que no se ven, y los hombres que andan encima no lo saben.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

Da antwortete einer der Gesetzlehrer und sprach zu Ihm: Lehrer, indem Du solches sagst, beschimpfst Du auch uns!
Y respondiendo uno de los doctores de la ley, le dice: Maestro, cuando dices esto, también nos afrentas á nosotros.
Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying this you insult us also.”
Er aber sprach: Wehe auch euch Gesetzlehrern, daß ihr die Menschen mit unerträglichen Lasten belastet, und ihr selbst regt die Lasten mit keinem eurer Finger an.
Y él dijo: ¡Ay de vosotros también, doctores de la ley! que cargáis á los hombres con cargas que no pueden llevar; mas vosotros ni aun con un dedo tocáis las cargas.
And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
He said, “Woe to you lawyers also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
Wehe euch, die ihr baut die Grüfte der Propheten, eure Väter aber haben sie getötet.
¡Ay de vosotros! que edificáis los sepulcros de los profetas, y los mataron vuestros padres.
Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

Damit bezeugt ihr und habt Wohlgefallen mit ihnen an den Werken eurer Väter; denn sie töteten sie zwar, ihr aber bauet ihre Grüfte.
De cierto dais testimonio que consentís en los hechos de vuestros padres; porque á la verdad ellos los mataron, mas vosotros edificáis sus sepulcros.
Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
So you testify and consent to the works of your fathers. For they killed them, and you build their tombs.
Darum spricht auch die Weisheit Gottes: Ich sende an sie Propheten und Apostel; und sie werden etliche von ihnen töten und verfolgen.
