Et quand il eut tout dépensé, il survint une grande famine en ce pays-là, et lui-même commença à être dans l'indigence.

Y cuando todo lo hubo malgastado, vino una grande hambre en aquella provincia, y comenzóle á faltar.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.
