E, quando gastou tudo, houve uma grande fome naquele país, e ele começou a passar necessidade.

Y cuando todo lo hubo malgastado, vino una grande hambre en aquella provincia, y comenzóle á faltar.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.
