Y DIJO también á sus discípulos: Había un hombre rico, el cual tenía un mayordomo, y éste fué acusado delante de él como disipador de sus bienes.
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
He also said to his disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.
Et l'ayant appelé, il lui dit : Qu'est-ce que j'entends dire de toi ? Rends compte de ton administration ; car tu ne peux plus administrer.
Y le llamó, y le dijo: ¿Qué es esto que oigo de ti? Da cuenta de tu mayordomía, porque ya no podrás más ser mayordomo.
And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
He called him, and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’
Mais l'économe dit en lui-même : Que ferai-je, puisque mon maître m'ôte l'administration ? Labourer, je ne le puis. Mendier, j'en ai honte.
Entonces el mayordomo dijo dentro de sí: ¿Qué haré? que mi señor me quita la mayordomía. Cavar, no puedo; mendigar, tengo vergüenza.
Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
“The manager said within himself, ‘What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.
Je sais ce que je ferai, afin que, quand je serai destitué de l'administration, ils me reçoivent dans leurs maisons.
Yo sé lo que haré para que cuando fuere quitado de la mayordomía, me reciban en sus casas.
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’
Et ayant appelé à lui chacun des débiteurs de son maître, il dit au premier : Combien dois-tu à mon maître ?
Y llamando á cada uno de los deudores de su señor, dijo al primero: ¿Cuánto debes á mi señor?
So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’
Et il dit : Cent mesures d'huile. Mais il lui dit : Reprends ton billet, assieds-toi, et écris promptement cinquante.
Y él dijo: Cien barriles de aceite. Y le dijo: Toma tu obligación, y siéntate presto, y escribe cincuenta.
And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
He said, ‘A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’
Ensuite il dit à un autre : Et toi, combien dois-tu ? Celui-ci répondit : Cent mesures de blé. Il lui dit : Reprends ton billet, et écris quatre-vingts.
Después dijo á otro: ¿Y tú, cuánto debes? Y él dijo: Cien coros de trigo. Y él le dijo: Toma tu obligación, y escribe ochenta.
Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’
Et le maître loua l'économe injuste de ce qu'il avait prudemment agi ; car les fils de ce siècle sont plus prudents que les fils de la lumière dans leur manière d'agir envers leur propre génération.
Y alabó el señor al mayordomo malo por haber hecho discretamente; porque los hijos de este siglo son en su generación más sagaces que los hijos de luz.
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
“His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.
Et moi aussi je vous dis : Faites-vous des amis avec les richesses injustes, afin que lorsqu'elles vous manqueront, ils vous reçoivent dans les tabernacles éternels.
Y yo os digo: Haceos amigos de las riquezas de maldad, para que cuando faltareis, os reciban en las moradas eternas.
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.
Celui qui est fidèle dans les plus petites choses, est aussi fidèle dans les grandes ; et celui qui est injuste dans les plus petites choses, est aussi injuste dans les grandes.
El que es fiel en lo muy poco, también en lo más es fiel: y el que en lo muy poco es injusto, también en lo más es injusto.
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
Si donc vous n'avez pas été fidèles dans les richesses injustes, qui vous confiera les véritables ?

Nul domestique ne peut servir deux maîtres, car ou il haïra l'un et aimera l'autre, ou il s'attachera à l'un et méprisera l'autre. Vous ne pouvez servir Dieu et Mammon.
Ningún siervo puede servir á dos señores; porque ó aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, ó se allegará al uno y menospreciará al otro. No podéis servir á Dios y á las riquezas.
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Et il leur dit : Vous, vous êtes ceux qui se justifient eux-mêmes devant les hommes, mais Dieu connaît vos cœurs ; car ce qui est élevé devant les hommes est une abomination devant Dieu.
Y díjoles: Vosotros sois los que os justificáis á vosotros mismos delante de los hombres; mas Dios conoce vuestros corazones; porque lo que los hombres tienen por sublime, delante de Dios es abominación.
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
La loi et les prophètes ont été jusqu'à Jean ; dès lors, le royaume de Dieu est annoncé, et chacun use de violence pour y entrer.
La ley y los profetas hasta Juan: desde entonces el reino de Dios es anunciado, y quienquiera se esfuerza á entrar en él.
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.
Or il y avait un homme riche qui se vêtait de pourpre et de fin lin, se traitant chaque jour magnifiquement.
Había un hombre rico, que se vestía de púrpura y de lino fino, y hacía cada día banquete con esplendidez.
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
“Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.
Et un pauvre, nommé Lazare, avait été jeté à sa porte, couvert d'ulcères,
Había también un mendigo llamado Lázaro, el cual estaba echado á la puerta de él, lleno de llagas,
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

et désireux de se rassasier des miettes qui tombaient de la table du riche ; mais encore les chiens venaient lécher ses ulcères.
Y deseando hartarse de las migajas que caían de la mesa del rico; y aun los perros venían y le lamían las llagas.
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

Or il arriva que le pauvre mourut et qu'il fut porté par les anges dans le sein d'Abraham. Et le riche mourut aussi et fut enterré.
Y aconteció que murió el mendigo, y fué llevado por los ángeles al seno de Abraham: y murió también el rico, y fué sepultado.
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
Et dans le séjour des morts, levant les yeux, tandis qu'il est dans les tourments, il voit de loin Abraham, et Lazare dans son sein.
Y en el infierno alzó sus ojos, estando en los tormentos, y vió á Abraham de lejos, y á Lázaro en su seno.
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.
Et s'écriant, il dit : Père Abraham, aie pitié de moi et envoie Lazare, afin qu'il trempe dans l'eau le bout de son doigt, et qu'il rafraîchisse ma langue ; parce que je suis tourmenté dans cette flamme.
Entonces él, dando voces, dijo: Padre Abraham, ten misericordia de mí, y envía á Lázaro que moje la punta de su dedo en agua, y refresque mi lengua; porque soy atormentado en esta llama.
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’
Mais Abraham dit : Mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu tes biens pendant ta vie, et de même Lazare les maux ; or maintenant, ici, il est consolé, et toi, tu es tourmenté.
Y díjole Abraham: Hijo, acuérdate que recibiste tus bienes en tu vida, y Lázaro también males; mas ahora éste es consolado aquí, y tú atormentado.
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
“But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted and you are in anguish.
Et outre tout cela, un grand abîme est établi entre nous et vous ; afin que ceux qui veulent passer d'ici vers vous ne le puissent, et que ceux qui sont de là, ne traversent non plus vers nous.
Y además de todo esto, una grande sima está constituída entre nosotros y vosotros, que los que quisieren pasar de aquí á vosotros, no pueden, ni de allá pasar acá.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that no one may cross over from there to us.’
Mais il dit : Je te prie donc, père, de l'envoyer dans la maison de mon père,
Y dijo: Ruégote pues, padre, que le envíes á la casa de mi padre;
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
“He said, ‘I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house—
car j'ai cinq frères, afin qu'il leur rende témoignage, pour qu'ils ne viennent pas, eux aussi, dans ce lieu de tourments.
Porque tengo cinco hermanos; para que les testifique, porque no vengan ellos también á este lugar de tormento.
For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
for I have five brothers—that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’
Mais Abraham lui dit : Ils ont Moïse et les prophètes ; qu'ils les écoutent !
Y Abraham le dice: A Moisés y á los profetas tienen: óiganlos.
Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
“But Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’
Mais il dit : Non, père Abraham ; mais si quelqu'un des morts va vers eux, ils se repentiront.
El entonces dijo: No, padre Abraham: mas si alguno fuere á ellos de los muertos, se arrepentirán.
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
“He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
Mais il lui dit : S'ils n'écoutent pas Moïse et les prophètes, ils ne seront pas non plus persuadés, si quelqu'un ressuscite d'entre les morts.
Mas Abraham le dijo: Si no oyen á Moisés y á los profetas, tampoco se persuadirán, si alguno se levantare de los muertos.
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
“He said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”
