Y otra vez dijo a los discípulos: Había un hombre de gran riqueza que tenía un administrador; y se le dijo que este siervo estaba desperdiciando sus bienes.
Y DIJO también á sus discípulos: Había un hombre rico, el cual tenía un mayordomo, y éste fué acusado delante de él como disipador de sus bienes.
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
He also said to his disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.
Y envió a buscarlo, y dijo: ¿Qué es esto que se dice de ti? dame una cuenta de todo lo que has hecho, porque ya no serás el administrador de mi propiedad.
Y le llamó, y le dijo: ¿Qué es esto que oigo de ti? Da cuenta de tu mayordomía, porque ya no podrás más ser mayordomo.
And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
He called him, and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’
Y el administrador se dijo a sí mismo: ¿Qué he de hacer ahora que mi señor me quita mi puesto? No tengo la fuerza suficiente para trabajar en el campo, y me avergonzaría si pidiera dinero a la gente en las calles.
Entonces el mayordomo dijo dentro de sí: ¿Qué haré? que mi señor me quita la mayordomía. Cavar, no puedo; mendigar, tengo vergüenza.
Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
“The manager said within himself, ‘What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.
He tomado una decisión sobre qué hacer, para que cuando me saquen de mi posición me lleven a sus casas.
Yo sé lo que haré para que cuando fuere quitado de la mayordomía, me reciban en sus casas.
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’
Y enviando por cada uno que estaba en deuda con su señor, dijo al primero: ¿Cuál es el monto de su deuda con mi señor?
Y llamando á cada uno de los deudores de su señor, dijo al primero: ¿Cuánto debes á mi señor?
So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’
Y él dijo: Cien medidas de aceite. Y él dijo: Toma tu cuenta de inmediato y pon cincuenta.
Y él dijo: Cien barriles de aceite. Y le dijo: Toma tu obligación, y siéntate presto, y escribe cincuenta.
And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
He said, ‘A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’
Entonces dijo a otro: ¿Cuál es el monto de tu deuda? Y él dijo: Cien medidas de grano. Y él le dijo: Toma tu cuenta y baja a ochenta.
Después dijo á otro: ¿Y tú, cuánto debes? Y él dijo: Cien coros de trigo. Y él le dijo: Toma tu obligación, y escribe ochenta.
Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’
Y su señor alabó al mal administrador, porque él había sido sabio; porque los hijos de este mundo son más sabios en los negocios del mundo pecador que los hijos de la luz.
Y alabó el señor al mayordomo malo por haber hecho discretamente; porque los hijos de este siglo son en su generación más sagaces que los hijos de luz.
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
“His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.
Y les digo: hagan amigos por la riqueza de este mundo pecador, para ganarse amigos para que cuando la riquezas se acaben y llegue a su fin, sean llevados a los eternos lugares de descanso.
Y yo os digo: Haceos amigos de las riquezas de maldad, para que cuando faltareis, os reciban en las moradas eternas.
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.
El que es fiel en lo poco, es fiel en lo mucho; el que no es honrado en lo poco. no es honrado en lo mucho.
El que es fiel en lo muy poco, también en lo más es fiel: y el que en lo muy poco es injusto, también en lo más es injusto.
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
Si, entonces, no has sido fiel en las riquezas de este mundo pecador, ¿quién les confiará la verdadera riqueza?
Pues si en las malas riquezas no fuisteis fieles, ¿quién os confiará lo verdadero?
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Y si no has sido fiel en el cuidado de la propiedad de otras personas, ¿quién les dará lo que les pertenece?
Y si en lo ajeno no fuisteis fieles, ¿quién os dará lo que es vuestro?
And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
Ninguno puede ser siervo de dos señores; porque él tendrá odio por uno y amor por el otro; o se quedará con el uno y no tendrá respeto por el otro.No pueden ser siervos de Dios y de la riqueza.
Ningún siervo puede servir á dos señores; porque ó aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, ó se allegará al uno y menospreciará al otro. No podéis servir á Dios y á las riquezas.
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Y los fariseos, que tenían un gran amor al dinero, al oír estas cosas, se burlaban de él.
Y oían también todas estas cosas los Fariseos, los cuales eran avaros, y se burlaban de él.
And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.
Y él dijo: Ustedes tienen cuidado de parecer buenos a los ojos de los hombres, pero Dios conoce sus corazones; y las cosas que son importantes en opinión de los hombres, son aborrecidas a los ojos de Dios.
Y díjoles: Vosotros sois los que os justificáis á vosotros mismos delante de los hombres; mas Dios conoce vuestros corazones; porque lo que los hombres tienen por sublime, delante de Dios es abominación.
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
La ley y los profetas fueron hasta Juan; pero luego vino la predicación del reino de Dios, y todos se esfuerzan para entrar en el.
La ley y los profetas hasta Juan: desde entonces el reino de Dios es anunciado, y quienquiera se esfuerza á entrar en él.
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
“The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of God’s Kingdom is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
Pero el cielo y la tierra llegarán a su fin antes de que la letra más pequeña de la ley deje de cumplirse.
Empero más fácil cosa es pasar el cielo y la tierra, que frustrarse un tilde de la ley.
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.
Todo aquel que se divorcia de su mujer y toma a otra, adultera; y el que está casado con una mujer cuyo marido la ha abandonado, adúltera.
Cualquiera que repudia á su mujer, y se casa con otra, adultera: y el que se casa con la repudiada del marido, adultera.
Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.
Y había cierto hombre de gran riqueza, que estaba vestido con ropas de púrpura y delicado lino, y estaba resplandeciente y alegre todos los días.
Había un hombre rico, que se vestía de púrpura y de lino fino, y hacía cada día banquete con esplendidez.
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
“Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.
Y un pobre hombre, llamado Lázaro, estaba tendido a la puerta, lleno de heridas,
Había también un mendigo llamado Lázaro, el cual estaba echado á la puerta de él, lleno de llagas,
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was taken to his gate, full of sores,
Deseando los trozos de comida que salían de la mesa del hombre rico; y hasta los perros vinieron y pusieron sus lenguas sobre sus heridas.
Y deseando hartarse de las migajas que caían de la mesa del rico; y aun los perros venían y le lamían las llagas.
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
Y con el tiempo el pobre hombre llegó a su fin, y los ángeles lo llevaron al seno de Abraham. Y el hombre rico llegó a su fin y fue sepultado.
Y aconteció que murió el mendigo, y fué llevado por los ángeles al seno de Abraham: y murió también el rico, y fué sepultado.
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
Y en el infierno, estando en gran dolor, alzando sus ojos vio a Abraham, muy lejos, y Lázaro sobre su seno.
Y en el infierno alzó sus ojos, estando en los tormentos, y vió á Abraham de lejos, y á Lázaro en su seno.
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.
Y él dio un grito y dijo: Padre Abraham, ten misericordia de mí y envía a Lázaro, para que él ponga la punta de su dedo en agua y la ponga sobre mi lengua, porque yo estoy ardiendo cruelmente en esta llama.
Entonces él, dando voces, dijo: Padre Abraham, ten misericordia de mí, y envía á Lázaro que moje la punta de su dedo en agua, y refresque mi lengua; porque soy atormentado en esta llama.
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’
Pero Abraham dijo: Ten en cuenta, hijo mío, que cuando vivías, tenías tus bienes, mientras que Lázaro tenía sus males; pero ahora, él es consolado y tú tienes dolor.
Y díjole Abraham: Hijo, acuérdate que recibiste tus bienes en tu vida, y Lázaro también males; mas ahora éste es consolado aquí, y tú atormentado.
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
“But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted and you are in anguish.
Y además, hay una división profunda entre nosotros y usted, para que aquellos que puedan ir de aquí a usted no puedan hacerlo, y nadie puede venir de usted hacia nosotros.
Y además de todo esto, una grande sima está constituída entre nosotros y vosotros, que los que quisieren pasar de aquí á vosotros, no pueden, ni de allá pasar acá.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that no one may cross over from there to us.’
Y él dijo: Padre, es mi petición que lo envíes a la casa de mi padre;
Y dijo: Ruégote pues, padre, que le envíes á la casa de mi padre;
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
“He said, ‘I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house—
Porque tengo cinco hermanos; y que les dé cuenta de estas cosas, para que no lleguen a este lugar de dolor.
Porque tengo cinco hermanos; para que les testifique, porque no vengan ellos también á este lugar de tormento.
For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
for I have five brothers—that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’
Pero Abraham dijo: Ellos tienen a Moisés y los profetas; que escuchen lo que dicen.
Y Abraham le dice: A Moisés y á los profetas tienen: óiganlos.
Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
“But Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’
Y él dijo: No, padre Abraham, pero si alguien fuera a ellos de entre los muertos, cambiarían sus corazones.
El entonces dijo: No, padre Abraham: mas si alguno fuere á ellos de los muertos, se arrepentirán.
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
“He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
Y le dijo: Si no quieren prestar atención a Moisés y a los profetas, no creerán aunque alguno vuelva de entre los muertos.
Mas Abraham le dijo: Si no oyen á Moisés y á los profetas, tampoco se persuadirán, si alguno se levantare de los muertos.
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
“He said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”
