Jesús les dijo a sus discípulos: ―No se pueden evitar los tropiezos, pero ¡ay de aquel que los causa!
Y Á SUS discípulos dice: Imposible es que no vengan escándalos; mas ¡ay de aquél por quien vienen!
Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
Mejor le sería que lo arrojaran al mar con una piedra de molino atada al cuello, que ser la causa de que tropiece uno solo de estos pequeños.
Mejor le fuera, si le pusiesen al cuello una piedra de molino, y le lanzasen en el mar, que escandalizar á uno de estos pequeñitos.
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
Así que, ¡tengan cuidado! »Si tu hermano peca, repréndelo; y si se arrepiente, perdónalo.
Mirad por vosotros: si pecare contra ti tu hermano, repréndele; y si se arrepintiere, perdónale.
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.
Aun si en un día peca siete veces contra ti, y siete veces regresa a decirte: “Me arrepiento”, perdónalo».
Y si siete veces al día pecare contra ti, y siete veces al día se volviere á ti, diciendo, pésame, perdónale.
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
Luego los apóstoles le dijeron al Señor: ―¡Haz que nuestra fe aumente!
Y dijeron los apóstoles al Señor: Auméntanos la fe.
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
El Señor les respondió: ―Si la fe que ustedes tienen fuera tan pequeña como un grano de mostaza, podrían decirle a este árbol: “Saca tus raíces de aquí y plántate en el mar”, y el árbol les obedecería.
Entonces el Señor dijo: Si tuvieseis fe como un grano de mostaza, diréis á este sicómoro: Desarráigate, y plántate en el mar; y os obedecerá.
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
»Si ustedes tienen un sirviente que ha estado arando el campo o cuidando las ovejas, cuando él regresa, ¿le van a decir: “Ven y siéntate a comer”?
¿Y quién de vosotros tiene un siervo que ara ó apacienta, que vuelto del campo le diga luego: Pasa, siéntate á la mesa?
But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table’?
No, más bien le dicen: “Prepárame la comida y arréglate para atenderme mientras yo ceno. Tú podrás comer y beber más tarde”.
¿No le dice antes: Adereza qué cene, y arremángate, y sírveme hasta que haya comido y bebido; y después de esto, come tú y bebe?
And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
Wouldn’t he rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
Tampoco le dan las gracias al sirviente porque hizo lo que se le mandó.
¿Da gracias al siervo porque hizo lo que le había sido mandado? Pienso que no.
Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
Así también ustedes, cuando hayan hecho lo que se les mandó, deben decir: “Somos sirvientes inútiles, pues sólo cumplimos con nuestra obligación”».
Así también vosotros, cuando hubiereis hecho todo lo que os es mandado, decid: Siervos inútiles somos, porque lo que debíamos hacer, hicimos.
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
Un día, Jesús siguió su viaje hacia Jerusalén, pasando por Samaria y Galilea.
Y aconteció que yendo él á Jerusalem, pasaba por medio de Samaria y de Galilea.
And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
As he was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.
Cuando entró en un pueblo, diez hombres que estaban enfermos de lepra le salieron al encuentro. Ellos se pararon un poco lejos de él,
Y entrando en una aldea, viniéronle al encuentro diez hombres leprosos, los cuales se pararon de lejos,
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

y le gritaron: ―¡Jesús, Maestro, ten compasión de nosotros!
Y alzaron la voz, diciendo: Jesús, Maestro, ten misericordia de nosotros.
And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
Él, al verlos, les dijo: ―Vayan a presentarse a los sacerdotes. Y mientras aún iban en el camino, quedaron sanos.
Y como él los vió, les dijo: Id, mostraos á los sacerdotes. Y aconteció, que yendo ellos, fueron limpios.
And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
Uno de ellos, al verse sano, regresó alabando a Dios a gritos.
Entonces uno de ellos, como se vió que estaba limpio, volvió, glorificando á Dios á gran voz;
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

Y se echó sobre sus rodillas, tocando con su rostro el suelo, a los pies de Jesús, y le dio las gracias. Este hombre era samaritano.
Y derribóse sobre el rostro á sus pies, dándole gracias: y éste era Samaritano.
And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

Jesús preguntó: ―¿No eran diez los que quedaron sanos? ¿Dónde están los otros nueve?
Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: ¿No son diez los que fueron limpios? ¿Y los nueve dónde están?
And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
¿Sólo este extranjero regresó a dar gloria a Dios?
¿No hubo quien volviese y diese gloria á Dios sino este extranjero?
There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”
—Y le dijo al hombre—: Levántate y vete. Tu fe te ha sanado.
Y díjole: Levántate, vete; tu fe te ha salvado.
And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”
Los fariseos le preguntaron cuándo vendría el reino de Dios. Él les contestó: ―El reino de Dios no vendrá como algo que todo mundo pueda ver.
Y preguntado por los Fariseos, cuándo había de venir el reino de Dios, les respondió y dijo: El reino de Dios no vendrá con advertencia;
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation;
Nadie podrá decir: “¡Aquí está!” o “¡Allá está!”, porque el reino de Dios ya está entre ustedes.
Ni dirán: Helo aquí, ó helo allí: porque he aquí el reino de Dios entre vosotros está.
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
Les dijo a sus discípulos: ―Llegará el tiempo en que ustedes desearán ver por lo menos uno de los días del Hijo del hombre, pero no podrán.
Y dijo á sus discípulos: Tiempo vendrá, cuando desearéis ver uno de los días del Hijo del hombre, y no lo veréis.
And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
Algunos les dirán: “¡Allá está!” o “¡Aquí está!”, pero no vayan, no los sigan.
Y os dirán: Helo aquí, ó helo allí. No vayáis, ni sigáis.
And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away or follow after them,
Porque el día del Hijo del hombre, él resplandecerá como un relámpago que ilumina el cielo de un lado hasta el otro.
Porque como el relámpago, relampagueando desde una parte de debajo del cielo, resplandece hasta la otra debajo del cielo, así también será el Hijo del hombre en su día.
For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
for as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part under the sky, shines to another part under the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day.
Pero primero tiene que sufrir mucho y ser rechazado por la gente de esta generación.
Mas primero es necesario que padezca mucho, y sea reprobado de esta generación.
But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

»Cuando regrese el Hijo del hombre, las cosas estarán como en los tiempos de Noé:
Y como fué en los días de Noé, así también será en los días del Hijo del hombre.
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
As it was in the days of Noah, even so it will also be in the days of the Son of Man.
comían, bebían y se casaban, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el barco, llegó el diluvio y los destruyó a todos.
Comían, bebían, los hombres tomaban mujeres, y las mujeres maridos, hasta el día que entró Noé en el arca; y vino el diluvio, y destruyó á todos.
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

»Lo mismo pasó en tiempos de Lot: comían y bebían, compraban y vendían, sembraban y edificaban.

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

»Así será el día en que el Hijo del hombre aparezca.
Como esto será el día en que el Hijo del hombre se manifestará.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

En aquel día, el que esté en la azotea y tenga sus cosas dentro de la casa, que no baje a sacarlas. El que esté en el campo, que no regrese a su casa.
En aquel día, el que estuviere en el terrado, y sus alhajas en casa, no descienda á tomarlas: y el que en el campo, asimismo no vuelva atrás.
In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
In that day, he who will be on the housetop and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
¡Recuerden lo que le sucedió a la esposa de Lot!

El que trate de conservar su vida, la perderá. El que la pierda, la conservará.
Cualquiera que procurare salvar su vida, la perderá; y cualquiera que la perdiere, la salvará.

Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
Aquella noche habrá dos personas en una misma cama: una será llevada y la otra será dejada.
Os digo que en aquella noche estarán dos en una cama; el uno será tomado, y el otro será dejado.
I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

Le preguntaron: —¿Dónde ocurrirá eso, Señor? Él les respondió: ―Donde esté el cadáver, allí se juntarán los buitres.
Y respondiendo, le dicen: ¿Dónde, Señor? Y él les dijo: Donde estuviere el cuerpo, allá se juntarán también las águilas.
And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there the vultures will also be gathered together.”
