Y procuraba ver á Jesús quién fuese; mas no podía á causa de la multitud, porque era pequeño de estatura.
And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn’t because of the crowd, because he was short.
Et il courut en avant et monta sur un sycomore pour le voir, parce qu'il devait passer par là.
Y corriendo delante, subióse á un árbol sicómoro para verle; porque había de pasar por allí.
And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

Et quand Jésus fut arrivé en cet endroit, ayant levé les yeux il lui dit : Zachée, hâte-toi de descendre ; car aujourd'hui il faut que je demeure dans ta maison.
Y como vino á aquel lugar Jesús, mirando, le vió, y díjole: Zaqueo, date priesa, desciende, porque hoy es necesario que pose en tu casa.
And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchæus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”
Et il descendit à la hâte et le reçut avec joie.

Mais Zachée, se tenant debout, dit au Seigneur : Voici, Seigneur, je donne la moitié de mes biens aux pauvres, et si j'ai fait tort à quelqu'un en quelque chose, je lui en rends quatre fois autant.
Entonces Zaqueo, puesto en pie, dijo al Señor: He aquí, Señor, la mitad de mis bienes doy á los pobres; y si en algo he defraudado á alguno, lo vuelvo con el cuatro tanto.
And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.”
Alors Jésus lui dit : Aujourd'hui le salut est venu pour cette maison, parce que lui aussi est un fils d'Abraham.
Y Jesús le dijo: Hoy ha venido la salvación á esta casa; por cuanto él también es hijo de Abraham.
And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
Jesus said to him, “Today, salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
Car le fils de l'homme est venu chercher et sauver ce qui est perdu.
Porque el Hijo del hombre vino á buscar y á salvar lo que se había perdido.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Or, comme ils écoutaient ces choses, Jésus, continuant, dit une parabole, parce qu'il était près de Jérusalem, et qu'eux s'imaginaient que le royaume de Dieu allait paraître à l'instant.
Y oyendo ellos estas cosas, prosiguió Jesús y dijo una parábola, por cuanto estaba cerca de Jerusalem, y porque pensaban que luego había de ser manifestado el reino de Dios.
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that God’s Kingdom would be revealed immediately.
Il dit donc : Un homme de haute naissance s'en alla dans un pays éloigné, pour être investi de la royauté et revenir.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

Et il arriva, lorsqu'il revint après avoir été investi de la royauté, qu'il fit appeler auprès de lui ces serviteurs auxquels il avait donné l'argent, afin de connaître combien chacun l'avait fait valoir.
Y aconteció, que vuelto él, habiendo tomado el reino, mandó llamar á sí á aquellos siervos á los cuales había dado el dinero, para saber lo que había negociado cada uno.
And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
“When he had come back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business.
Et le premier se présenta, disant : Seigneur, ta mine a produit dix mines.
Y vino el primero, diciendo: Señor, tu mina ha ganado diez minas.
Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.’
Et il lui dit : Bien, bon serviteur, parce que tu as été fidèle dans la moindre chose, aie autorité sur dix villes.
Y él le dice: Está bien, buen siervo; pues que en lo poco has sido fiel, tendrás potestad sobre diez ciudades.
And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
“He said to him, ‘Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’
Et le second vint, disant : Seigneur, ta mine a produit cinq mines.
Y vino otro, diciendo: Señor, tu mina ha hecho cinco minas.
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
“The second came, saying, ‘Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.’
Et il dit aussi à celui-ci : Et toi, sois établi sur cinq villes.
Y también á éste dijo: Tú también sé sobre cinco ciudades.
And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
“So he said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’
Et l'autre vint, disant : Seigneur, voici ta mine, que je tenais réservée dans un linge ;
Y vino otro, diciendo: Señor, he aquí tu mina, la cual he tenido guardada en un pañizuelo:
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
Another came, saying, ‘Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,
car je te craignais, parce que tu es un homme sévère ; tu prends ce que tu n'as point déposé, et tu moissonnes ce que tu n'as point semé.
Porque tuve miedo de ti, que eres hombre recio; tomas lo que no pusiste, y siegas lo que no sembraste.
For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn’t lay down, and reap that which you didn’t sow.’
Il lui dit : Je te jugerai sur tes propres paroles, mauvais serviteur. Tu savais que je suis un homme sévère, prenant ce que je n'ai pas déposé et moissonnant ce que je n'ai pas semé.
Entonces él le dijo: Mal siervo, de tu boca te juzgo. Sabías que yo era hombre recio, que tomo lo que no puse, y que siego lo que no sembré;
And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
“He said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down and reaping that which I didn’t sow.
Et pourquoi n'as-tu pas mis mon argent dans une banque, et moi, à mon retour, je l'eusse retiré avec l'intérêt ?
¿Por qué, pues, no diste mi dinero al banco, y yo viniendo lo demandara con el logro?
Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
Then why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?’
Et il dit à ceux qui étaient présents : Otez-lui la mine et donnez-la à celui qui a les dix mines.
Y dijo á los que estaban presentes: Quitadle la mina, y dadla al que tiene las diez minas.
And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
He said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina away from him and give it to him who has the ten minas.’
Et ils lui dirent : Seigneur, il a dix mines.
Y ellos le dijeron: Señor, tiene diez minas.
(And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
“They said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas!’
Car je vous dis, qu'à tout homme qui a, il sera donné ; mais à celui qui n'a pas, cela même qu'il a lui sera ôté.
Pues yo os digo que á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado; mas al que no tuviere, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.
For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
‘For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.
Quant à mes ennemis, ces gens qui n'ont pas voulu que je régnasse sur eux, amenez-les ici et égorgez-les en ma présence.
Y también á aquellos mis enemigos que no querían que yo reinase sobre ellos, traedlos acá, y degolladlos delante de mí.
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
But bring those enemies of mine who didn’t want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.’”
Et après avoir dit cela, il allait devant eux, montant à Jérusalem.
Y dicho esto, iba delante subiendo á Jerusalem.
And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
Having said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
Et il arriva, comme il approchait de Bethphagé et de Béthanie, vers le mont appelé des Oliviers, qu'il envoya deux de ses disciples,
Y aconteció, que llegando cerca de Bethfagé, y de Bethania, al monte que se llama de las Olivas, envió dos de sus discípulos,
And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
When he came near to Bethsphage and Bethany, at the mountain that is called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,
en disant : Allez à la bourgade qui est devant vous, et en y entrant, vous trouverez un ânon attaché, sur lequel aucun homme jamais ne s'est assis ; détachez-le, et amenez-le.
Diciendo: Id á la aldea de enfrente; en la cual como entrareis, hallaréis un pollino atado, en el que ningún hombre se ha sentado jamás; desatadlo, y traedlo.
Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
saying, “Go your way into the village on the other side, in which, as you enter, you will find a colt tied, which no man has ever sat upon. Untie it and bring it.
Et si quelqu'un vous demande : Pourquoi le détachez-vous ? vous direz ainsi : Parce que le Seigneur en a besoin.
Y si alguien os preguntare, ¿por qué lo desatáis? le responderéis así: Porque el Señor lo ha menester.
And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say to him: ‘The Lord needs it.’”
Et s'en étant allés, les envoyés trouvèrent comme il leur avait dit.
Y fueron los que habían sido enviados, y hallaron como les dijo.
And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
Those who were sent went away and found things just as he had told them.
Et comme ils détachaient l'ânon, ses maîtres leur dirent : Pourquoi détachez-vous cet ânon ?
Y desatando ellos el pollino, sus dueños les dijeron: ¿Por qué desatáis el pollino?
And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
Et ils dirent : Parce que le Seigneur en a besoin.
Y ellos dijeron: Porque el Señor lo ha menester.
And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
They said, “The Lord needs it.”
Et ils l'amenèrent à Jésus. Et ayant jeté leurs vêtements sur l'ânon, ils firent monter Jésus dessus.
Y trajéronlo á Jesús; y habiendo echado sus vestidos sobre el pollino, pusieron á Jesús encima.
And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.
Then they brought it to Jesus. They threw their cloaks on the colt and sat Jesus on them.
Et, comme il avançait, ils étendaient leurs vêtements sur le chemin.
Y yendo él tendían sus capas por el camino.
And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

Et, comme déjà il approchait, vers la descente de la montagne des Oliviers, toute la multitude des disciples, transportée de joie, se mit à louer Dieu à haute voix, pour tous les miracles qu'ils avaient vus,
Y como llegasen ya cerca de la bajada del monte de las Olivas, toda la multitud de los discípulos, gozándose, comenzaron á alabar á Dios á gran voz por todas las maravillas que habían visto,
And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
As he was now getting near, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen,
disant : Béni soit le Roi qui vient au nom du Seigneur ! Paix dans le ciel, et gloire dans les lieux très hauts !
Diciendo: ¡Bendito el rey que viene en el nombre del Señor: paz en el cielo, y gloria en lo altísimo!
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!”
Et quelques-uns des pharisiens, qui étaient dans la foule, lui dirent : Maître, reprends tes disciples.
Entonces algunos de los Fariseos de la compañía, le dijeron: Maestro, reprende á tus discípulos.
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
Some of the Pharisees from the multitude said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
Et répondant, il leur dit : Je vous dis que si ceux-ci se taisent, les pierres crieront.
Y él respondiendo, les dijo: Os digo que si éstos callaren, las piedras clamarán.
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
He answered them, “I tell you that if these were silent, the stones would cry out.”
Et comme il approchait, voyant la ville, il pleura sur elle, en disant :
Y como llegó cerca, viendo la ciudad, lloró sobre ella,
And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
When he came near, he saw the city and wept over it,
Si toi aussi, tu avais connu, au moins dans ce jour qui est à toi, les choses qui regardent ta paix ! Mais maintenant elles sont cachées à tes yeux.
Diciendo: ¡Oh si también tú conocieses, á lo menos en este tu día, lo que toca á tu paz! mas ahora está encubierto de tus ojos.
Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
saying, “If you, even you, had known today the things which belong to your peace! But now, they are hidden from your eyes.
Car des jours viendront sur toi, où tes ennemis t'environneront d'un retranchement et t'enfermeront et te serreront de toutes parts ;
Porque vendrán días sobre ti, que tus enemigos te cercarán con baluarte, y te pondrán cerco, y de todas partes te pondrán en estrecho,
For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
For the days will come on you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, surround you, hem you in on every side,
et ils te détruiront entièrement, toi, et tes enfants au milieu de toi, et ils ne laisseront pas en toi pierre sur pierre, parce que tu n'as point connu le temps de ta visitation.
Y te derribarán á tierra, y á tus hijos dentro de ti; y no dejarán sobre ti piedra sobre piedra; por cuanto no conociste el tiempo de tu visitación.
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
and will dash you and your children within you to the ground. They will not leave in you one stone on another, because you didn’t know the time of your visitation.”
Et, étant entré dans le temple, il se mit à chasser ceux qui vendaient,
Y entrando en el templo, comenzó á echar fuera á todos los que vendían y compraban en él.
And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
He entered into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it,
leur disant : Il est écrit : Ma maison sera une maison de prières ; mais vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs.
Diciéndoles: Escrito está: Mi casa, casa de oración es; mas vosotros la habéis hecho cueva de ladrones.
Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of robbers’!”
Et il enseignait chaque jour dans le temple. Mais les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes et les chefs du peuple cherchaient à le faire périr.
Y enseñaba cada día en el templo; mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y los principales del pueblo procuraban matarle.
And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests, the scribes, and the leading men among the people sought to destroy him.
Et ils ne trouvaient rien à faire, car le peuple tout entier, l'écoutant, était suspendu à ses lèvres.
Y no hallaban qué hacerle, porque todo el pueblo estaba suspenso oyéndole.
And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
They couldn’t find what they might do, for all the people hung on to every word that he said.
