Lucas 19

Jesus kam dann nach Jericho hinein und zog durch die Stadt hindurch.

Y HABIENDO entrado Jesús, iba pasando por Jericó;

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

He entered and was passing through Jericho.

Dort wohnte aber ein Mann namens Zachäus, der war ein Oberzöllner und ein reicher Mann.

Y he aquí un varón llamado Zaqueo, el cual era el principal de los publicanos, y era rico;

And, behold, there was a man named Zacchæus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.

Er hätte Jesus gern von Person gesehen, konnte es aber wegen der Volksmenge nicht, weil er klein von Gestalt war.

Y procuraba ver á Jesús quién fuese; mas no podía á causa de la multitud, porque era pequeño de estatura.

And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn’t because of the crowd, because he was short.

So eilte er denn auf dem Wege voraus und stieg auf einen Maulbeerfeigenbaum hinauf, um ihn zu sehen; denn dort mußte er vorbeikommen.

Y corriendo delante, subióse á un árbol sicómoro para verle; porque había de pasar por allí.

And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

He ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was going to pass that way.

Als nun Jesus an die Stelle kam, blickte er in die Höhe und rief ihm zu: »Zachäus! Steige schnell herunter; denn ich muß heute in deinem Hause einkehren.«

Y como vino á aquel lugar Jesús, mirando, le vió, y díjole: Zaqueo, date priesa, desciende, porque hoy es necesario que pose en tu casa.

And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchæus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”

Da stieg er schnell herab und nahm ihn mit Freuden bei sich auf.

Entonces él descendió apriesa, y le recibió gozoso.

And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

He hurried, came down, and received him joyfully.

Und alle, die es sahen, murrten laut und sagten: »Bei einem sündigen Manne ist er eingekehrt, um bei ihm zu herbergen.«

Y viendo esto, todos murmuraban, diciendo que había entrado á posar con un hombre pecador.

And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “He has gone in to lodge with a man who is a sinner.”

Zachäus aber trat zum Herrn und sagte: »Siehe, Herr, die Hälfte meines Vermögens will ich den Armen geben, und wenn ich jemand in etwas übervorteilt habe, will ich es ihm vierfach ersetzen!«

Entonces Zaqueo, puesto en pie, dijo al Señor: He aquí, Señor, la mitad de mis bienes doy á los pobres; y si en algo he defraudado á alguno, lo vuelvo con el cuatro tanto.

And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.”

Da sagte Jesus zu ihm: »Heute ist diesem Hause Heil widerfahren, weil ja auch er ein Sohn Abrahams ist.

Y Jesús le dijo: Hoy ha venido la salvación á esta casa; por cuanto él también es hijo de Abraham.

And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

Jesus said to him, “Today, salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.

Denn der Menschensohn ist gekommen, das Verlorene zu suchen und zu retten.«

Porque el Hijo del hombre vino á buscar y á salvar lo que se había perdido.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Als sie dies hörten, fügte er noch ein Gleichnis hinzu, weil er sich in der Nähe von Jerusalem befand und weil sie meinten, das Reich Gottes würde jetzt sofort erscheinen.

Y oyendo ellos estas cosas, prosiguió Jesús y dijo una parábola, por cuanto estaba cerca de Jerusalem, y porque pensaban que luego había de ser manifestado el reino de Dios.

And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that God’s Kingdom would be revealed immediately.

Er sagte also: »Ein Mann von vornehmer Abkunft reiste in ein fernes Land, um für sich dort die Königswürde zu gewinnen und dann wieder heimzukehren.

Dijo pues: Un hombre noble partió á una provincia lejos, para tomar para sí un reino, y volver.

He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

He said therefore, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.

Er berief nun zehn seiner Knechte, gab ihnen zehn Minen und sagte zu ihnen: ›Macht Geschäfte (mit dem Gelde) in der Zeit, während ich verreist bin!‹

Mas llamados diez siervos suyos, les dió diez minas, y díjoles: Negociad entre tanto que vengo.

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

He called ten servants of his and gave them ten mina coins, and told them, ‘Conduct business until I come.’

Seine Mitbürger aber haßten ihn und schickten eine Abordnung hinter ihm her, durch die sie erklären ließen: ›Wir wollen diesen Mann nicht als König über uns haben!‹

Empero sus ciudadanos le aborrecían, y enviaron tras de él una embajada, diciendo: No queremos que éste reine sobre nosotros.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, ‘We don’t want this man to reign over us.’

Als er nun nach Empfang der Königswürde heimkehrte, ließ er jene Knechte, denen er das Geld gegeben hatte, zu sich rufen, um zu erfahren, was für Geschäfte ein jeder gemacht hätte.

Y aconteció, que vuelto él, habiendo tomado el reino, mandó llamar á sí á aquellos siervos á los cuales había dado el dinero, para saber lo que había negociado cada uno.

And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

“When he had come back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business.

Da erschien der erste und sagte: ›Herr, dein Pfund hat zehn weitere Pfunde eingebracht.‹

Y vino el primero, diciendo: Señor, tu mina ha ganado diez minas.

Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.’

Der Herr antwortete ihm: ›Schön, du guter Knecht! Weil du im Kleinen treu gewesen bist, sollst du die Verwaltung von zehn Städten erhalten.‹

Y él le dice: Está bien, buen siervo; pues que en lo poco has sido fiel, tendrás potestad sobre diez ciudades.

And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

“He said to him, ‘Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’

Dann kam der zweite und sagte: ›Herr, dein Pfund hat fünf Pfunde hinzugewonnen.‹

Y vino otro, diciendo: Señor, tu mina ha hecho cinco minas.

And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

“The second came, saying, ‘Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.’

Er sagte auch zu diesem: ›Auch du sollst über fünf Städte gesetzt sein!‹

Y también á éste dijo: Tú también sé sobre cinco ciudades.

And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

“So he said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’

Hierauf kam der dritte und sagte: ›Herr, hier ist dein Pfund, das ich in einem Schweißtuch wohlverwahrt gehalten habe;

Y vino otro, diciendo: Señor, he aquí tu mina, la cual he tenido guardada en un pañizuelo:

And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:

Another came, saying, ‘Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,

denn ich hatte Furcht vor dir, weil du ein strenger Mann bist: du hebst ab, was du nicht eingelegt hast, und erntest, was du nicht gesät hast.‹

Porque tuve miedo de ti, que eres hombre recio; tomas lo que no pusiste, y siegas lo que no sembraste.

For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn’t lay down, and reap that which you didn’t sow.’

Da antwortete er ihm: ›Nach deiner eigenen Aussage will ich dir das Urteil sprechen, du nichtswürdiger Knecht! Du wußtest, daß ich ein strenger Mann bin, daß ich abhebe, was ich nicht eingelegt habe, und ernte, was ich nicht gesät habe?

Entonces él le dijo: Mal siervo, de tu boca te juzgo. Sabías que yo era hombre recio, que tomo lo que no puse, y que siego lo que no sembré;

And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

“He said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down and reaping that which I didn’t sow.

Warum hast du da mein Geld nicht auf eine Bank gebracht? Dann hätte ich es bei meiner Rückkehr mit Zinsen abgehoben.‹

¿Por qué, pues, no diste mi dinero al banco, y yo viniendo lo demandara con el logro?

Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

Then why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?’

Darauf befahl er den Dabeistehenden: ›Nehmt ihm das Pfund weg und gebt es dem, der die zehn Pfund hat.‹

Y dijo á los que estaban presentes: Quitadle la mina, y dadla al que tiene las diez minas.

And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

He said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina away from him and give it to him who has the ten minas.’

Sie erwiderten ihm: ›Herr, er hat ja schon zehn Pfunde.‹

Y ellos le dijeron: Señor, tiene diez minas.

(And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

“They said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas!’

Ich sage euch: Jedem, der da hat, wird (noch dazu) gegeben werden; wer aber nicht hat, dem wird auch das genommen werden, was er hat.

Pues yo os digo que á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado; mas al que no tuviere, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.

For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

‘For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.

Doch jene meine Feinde, die mich nicht zum König über sich gewollt haben, führt hierher und macht sie vor meinen Augen nieder!«

Y también á aquellos mis enemigos que no querían que yo reinase sobre ellos, traedlos acá, y degolladlos delante de mí.

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

But bring those enemies of mine who didn’t want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.’”

Nach diesen Worten zog Jesus weiter auf dem Wege nach Jerusalem hinauf.

Y dicho esto, iba delante subiendo á Jerusalem.

And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

Having said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

Als er nun in die Nähe von Bethphage und Bethanien am sogenannten Ölberge gekommen war, sandte er zwei von seinen Jüngern ab

Y aconteció, que llegando cerca de Bethfagé, y de Bethania, al monte que se llama de las Olivas, envió dos de sus discípulos,

And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

When he came near to Bethsphage and Bethany, at the mountain that is called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,

mit der Weisung: »Geht in das Dorf, das dort vor euch liegt! Wenn ihr hineinkommt, werdet ihr ein Eselfüllen angebunden finden, auf dem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen hat: bindet es los und führt es her!

Diciendo: Id á la aldea de enfrente; en la cual como entrareis, hallaréis un pollino atado, en el que ningún hombre se ha sentado jamás; desatadlo, y traedlo.

Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

saying, “Go your way into the village on the other side, in which, as you enter, you will find a colt tied, which no man has ever sat upon. Untie it and bring it.

Und wenn euch jemand fragen sollte: ›Warum bindet ihr es los?‹, so antwortet ihm: ›Der Herr hat es nötig.‹«

Y si alguien os preguntare, ¿por qué lo desatáis? le responderéis así: Porque el Señor lo ha menester.

And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say to him: ‘The Lord needs it.’”

Als nun die Abgesandten hingegangen waren, fanden sie es so, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte;

Y fueron los que habían sido enviados, y hallaron como les dijo.

And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.

Those who were sent went away and found things just as he had told them.

und als sie das Füllen losbanden, sagten dessen Eigentümer zu ihnen: »Wozu bindet ihr das Füllen los?«

Y desatando ellos el pollino, sus dueños les dijeron: ¿Por qué desatáis el pollino?

And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”

Sie antworteten: »Der Herr hat es nötig.«

Y ellos dijeron: Porque el Señor lo ha menester.

And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

They said, “The Lord needs it.”

Sie führten es darauf zu Jesus, legten ihre Mäntel auf das Füllen und ließen Jesus sich daraufsetzen.

Y trajéronlo á Jesús; y habiendo echado sus vestidos sobre el pollino, pusieron á Jesús encima.

And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

Then they brought it to Jesus. They threw their cloaks on the colt and sat Jesus on them.

Während er dann weiterzog, breiteten sie ihre Mäntel auf den Weg aus.

Y yendo él tendían sus capas por el camino.

And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

As he went, they spread their cloaks on the road.

Als er nunmehr an den Abstieg vom Ölberg herankam, begann die gesamte Menge der Jünger freudig Gott mit lauter Stimme um all der Wundertaten willen, die sie gesehen hatten, Lobpreis darzubringen,

Y como llegasen ya cerca de la bajada del monte de las Olivas, toda la multitud de los discípulos, gozándose, comenzaron á alabar á Dios á gran voz por todas las maravillas que habían visto,

And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

As he was now getting near, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen,

indem sie ausriefen: »Gepriesen sei, der da kommt als König im Namen des Herrn! Im Himmel ist Friede und Ehre in Himmelshöhen!«

Diciendo: ¡Bendito el rey que viene en el nombre del Señor: paz en el cielo, y gloria en lo altísimo!

Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!”

Da sagten einige Pharisäer aus der Volksmenge zu ihm: »Meister, untersage das deinen Jüngern!«

Entonces algunos de los Fariseos de la compañía, le dijeron: Maestro, reprende á tus discípulos.

And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

Some of the Pharisees from the multitude said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

Doch er gab zur Antwort: »Ich sage euch: Wenn diese schwiegen, würden die Steine schreien!«

Y él respondiendo, les dijo: Os digo que si éstos callaren, las piedras clamarán.

And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

He answered them, “I tell you that if these were silent, the stones would cry out.”

Als er dann nähergekommen war und die Stadt erblickte, weinte er über sie

Y como llegó cerca, viendo la ciudad, lloró sobre ella,

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

When he came near, he saw the city and wept over it,

und sagte: »Wenn doch auch du an diesem Tage erkennen möchtest, was zu deinem Frieden dient! Nun aber ist es deinen Augen verborgen geblieben.

Diciendo: ¡Oh si también tú conocieses, á lo menos en este tu día, lo que toca á tu paz! mas ahora está encubierto de tus ojos.

Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

saying, “If you, even you, had known today the things which belong to your peace! But now, they are hidden from your eyes.

Denn es werden Tage über dich kommen, da werden deine Feinde einen Wall gegen dich aufführen, dich ringsum einschließen und dich von allen Seiten bedrängen;

Porque vendrán días sobre ti, que tus enemigos te cercarán con baluarte, y te pondrán cerco, y de todas partes te pondrán en estrecho,

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

For the days will come on you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, surround you, hem you in on every side,

sie werden dich und deine Kinder in dir dem Erdboden gleichmachen und keinen Stein in dir auf dem andern lassen zur Strafe dafür, daß du die Zeit deiner (gnadenreichen) Heimsuchung nicht erkannt hast.«

Y te derribarán á tierra, y á tus hijos dentro de ti; y no dejarán sobre ti piedra sobre piedra; por cuanto no conociste el tiempo de tu visitación.

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

and will dash you and your children within you to the ground. They will not leave in you one stone on another, because you didn’t know the time of your visitation.”

Als er sich darauf in den Tempel begeben hatte, machte er sich daran, die Verkäufer hinauszutreiben,

Y entrando en el templo, comenzó á echar fuera á todos los que vendían y compraban en él.

And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

He entered into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it,

indem er ihnen zurief: »Es steht geschrieben: ›Mein Haus soll ein Bethaus sein!‹ Ihr aber habt es zu einer ›Räuberhöhle‹ gemacht.«

Diciéndoles: Escrito está: Mi casa, casa de oración es; mas vosotros la habéis hecho cueva de ladrones.

Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of robbers’!”

Er lehrte dann täglich im Tempel. Die Hohenpriester aber und die Schriftgelehrten samt den Obersten des Volkes trachteten ihm nach dem Leben,

Y enseñaba cada día en el templo; mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y los principales del pueblo procuraban matarle.

And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,

He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests, the scribes, and the leading men among the people sought to destroy him.

fanden jedoch keine Möglichkeit, ihre Absicht gegen ihn auszuführen; denn das gesamte Volk hing an ihm, sooft es ihn hörte.

Y no hallaban qué hacerle, porque todo el pueblo estaba suspenso oyéndole.

And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

They couldn’t find what they might do, for all the people hung on to every word that he said.
