Das Knäblein aber wuchs und ward mächtig im Geist; und er war in den Wüsten bis zu dem Tage, da er sich vor Israel zeigen sollte.

Y el niño crecía, y se fortalecía en espíritu: y estuvo en los desiertos hasta el día que se mostró á Israel.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

The child was growing and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.
