Y así no encontraron oportunidad para atraparlo en nada de lo que él decía frente a la gente. Por eso, sorprendidos de su respuesta, se callaron.

Y no pudieron reprender sus palabras delante del pueblo: antes maravillados de su respuesta, callaron.

And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

They weren’t able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer and were silent.
