Tengan cuidado con los escribas, quienes desean andar con ropas externas largas. Aman las salutaciones en las plazas y los primeros asientos en las congregaciones y los puestos de honor en las cenas.

Guardaos de los escribas, que quieren andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas;

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
