Cuídense †guárdense de los escribas, que gustan de andar con ropas largas, y aprecian las salutaciones en las plazas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas;

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
