Lucas 20

Und es geschah an einem der Tage, als er das Volk im Tempel lehrte und das Evangelium verkündigte, da traten die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten mit den Ältesten herzu

Y ACONTECIÓ un día, que enseñando él al pueblo en el templo, y anunciando el evangelio, llegáronse los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas, con los ancianos;

And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

On one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, the priests and scribes came to him with the elders.

und sprachen zu ihm und sagten: Sage uns, in welchem Recht tust du diese Dinge? Oder wer ist es, der dir dieses Recht gegeben hat?

Y le hablaron, diciendo: Dinos: ¿con qué potestad haces estas cosas? ¿ó quién es el que te ha dado esta potestad?

And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?

They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”

Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Auch ich will euch ein Wort fragen, und saget mir:

Respondiendo entonces Jesús, les dijo: Os preguntaré yo también una palabra; respondedme:

And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:

He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:

Die Taufe Johannes', war sie vom Himmel oder von Menschen?

El bautismo de Juan, ¿era del cielo, ó de los hombres?

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”

Sie aber überlegten miteinander und sprachen: Wenn wir sagen: Vom Himmel, so wird er sagen: Warum habt ihr ihm nicht geglaubt?

Mas ellos pensaban dentro de sí, diciendo: Si dijéremos, del cielo, dirá: ¿Por qué, pues, no le creísteis?

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?

They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’

Wenn wir aber sagen: von Menschen, so wird das ganze Volk uns steinigen, denn es ist überzeugt, daß Johannes ein Prophet ist.

Y si dijéremos, de los hombres, todo el pueblo nos apedreará: porque están ciertos que Juan era profeta.

But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”

Und sie antworteten, sie wüßten nicht, woher.

Y respondieron que no sabían de dónde.

And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.

Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: So sage auch ich euch nicht, in welchem Recht ich diese Dinge tue.

Entonces Jesús les dijo: Ni yo os digo con qué potestad hago estas cosas.

And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Er fing aber an, zu dem Volke dieses Gleichnis zu sagen: Ein Mensch pflanzte einen Weinberg und verdingte ihn an Weingärtner und reiste für lange Zeit außer Landes.

Y comenzó á decir al pueblo esta parábola: Un hombre plantó una viña, y arrendóla á labradores, y se ausentó por mucho tiempo.

Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.

He began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.

Und zur bestimmten Zeit sandte er einen Knecht zu den Weingärtnern, auf daß sie ihm von der Frucht des Weinbergs gäben; die Weingärtner aber schlugen ihn und schickten ihn leer fort.

Y al tiempo, envió un siervo á los labradores, para que le diesen del fruto de la viña; mas los labradores le hirieron, y enviaron vacío.

And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him and sent him away empty.

Und er fuhr fort und sandte einen anderen Knecht; sie aber schlugen auch den und behandelten ihn verächtlich und schickten ihn leer fort.

Y volvió á enviar otro siervo; mas ellos á éste también, herido y afrentado, le enviaron vacío.

And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

Und er fuhr fort und sandte einen dritten; sie aber verwundeten auch diesen und warfen ihn hinaus.

Y volvió á enviar al tercer siervo; mas ellos también á éste echaron herido.

And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.

He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him and threw him out.

Der Herr des Weinbergs aber sprach: Was soll ich tun? Ich will meinen geliebten Sohn senden; vielleicht, wenn sie diesen sehen, werden sie sich scheuen.

Entonces el señor de la viña dijo: ¿Qué haré? Enviaré mi hijo amado: quizás cuando á éste vieren, tendrán respeto.

Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.

The lord of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’

Als aber die Weingärtner ihn sahen, überlegten sie miteinander und sagten: Dieser ist der Erbe; kommt, laßt uns ihn töten, auf daß das Erbe unser werde.

Mas los labradores, viéndole, pensaron entre sí, diciendo: Este es el heredero; venid, matémosle para que la heredad sea nuestra.

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

“But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’

Und als sie ihn aus dem Weinberg hinausgeworfen hatten, töteten sie ihn. Was wird nun der Herr des Weinbergs ihnen tun?

Y echáronle fuera de la viña, y le mataron. ¿Qué pues, les hará el señor de la viña?

So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?

Then they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?

Er wird kommen und diese Weingärtner umbringen und den Weinberg anderen geben. Als sie aber das hörten, sprachen sie: Das sei ferne!

Vendrá, y destruirá á estos labradores, y dará su viña á otros. Y como ellos lo oyeron, dijeron: ¡Dios nos libre!

He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When they heard that, they said, “May that never be!”

Er aber sah sie an und sprach: Was ist denn dies, das geschrieben steht: "Der Stein, den die Bauleute verworfen haben, dieser ist zum Eckstein geworden?"

Mas él mirándolos, dice: ¿Qué pues es lo que está escrito: La piedra que condenaron los edificadores, ésta fué por cabeza de esquina?

And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

But he looked at them and said, “Then what is this that is written, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the chief cornerstone’?

Jeder, der auf jenen Stein fällt, wird zerschmettert werden; auf welchen irgend er aber fallen wird, den wird er zermalmen.

Cualquiera que cayere sobre aquella piedra, será quebrantado; mas sobre el que la piedra cayere, le desmenuzará.

Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whomever it falls on to dust.”

Und die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten suchten zu derselben Stunde die Hände an ihn zu legen, und sie fürchteten das Volk; denn sie erkannten, daß er dieses Gleichnis auf sie geredet hatte.

Y procuraban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas echarle mano en aquella hora, porque entendieron que contra ellos había dicho esta parábola: mas temieron al pueblo.

And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people—for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.

Und sie beobachteten ihn und sandten Auflaurer aus, die sich verstellten, als ob sie gerecht wären, auf daß sie ihn in seiner Rede fingen, damit sie ihn der Obrigkeit und der Gewalt des Landpflegers überliefern möchten.

Y acechándole enviaron espías que se simulasen justos, para sorprenderle en palabras, para que le entregasen al principado y á la potestad del presidente.

And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

They watched him and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.

Und sie fragten ihn und sagten: Lehrer, wir wissen, daß du recht redest und lehrst und die Person nicht ansiehst, sondern den Weg Gottes in Wahrheit lehrst.

Los cuales le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que dices y enseñas bien, y que no tienes respeto á persona; antes enseñas el camino de Dios con verdad.

And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:

They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.

Ist es uns erlaubt, dem Kaiser Steuer zu geben oder nicht?

¿Nos es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no?

Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cæsar, or no?

Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”

Aber ihre Arglist wahrnehmend, sprach er zu ihnen: Was versuchet ihr mich?

Mas él, entendiendo la astucia de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis?

But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test me?

Zeiget mir einen Denar. Wessen Bild und Überschrift hat er? Sie aber antworteten und sprachen: Des Kaisers.

Mostradme la moneda. ¿De quién tiene la imagen y la inscripción? Y respondiendo dijeron: De César.

Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Cæsar’s.

Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They answered, “Caesar’s.”

Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Gebet daher dem Kaiser, was des Kaisers ist, und Gott, was Gottes ist.

Entonces les dijo: Pues dad á César lo que es de César; y lo que es de Dios, á Dios.

And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which be Cæsar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.

He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Und sie vermochten nicht, ihn in seinem Worte vor dem Volke zu fangen; und sie verwunderten sich über seine Antwort und schwiegen.

Y no pudieron reprender sus palabras delante del pueblo: antes maravillados de su respuesta, callaron.

And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

They weren’t able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer and were silent.

Es kamen aber etliche der Sadducäer herzu, welche einwenden, es gebe keine Auferstehung, und fragten ihn und sagten:

Y llegándose unos de los Saduceos, los cuales niegan haber resurrección, le preguntaron,

Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,

Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.

Lehrer, Moses hat uns geschrieben: Wenn jemandes Bruder stirbt, der ein Weib hat, und dieser kinderlos stirbt, daß sein Bruder das Weib nehme und seinem Bruder Samen erwecke.

Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés nos escribió: Si el hermano de alguno muriere teniendo mujer, y muriere sin hijos, que su hermano tome la mujer, y levante simiente á su hermano.

Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man’s brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

They asked him, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up children for his brother.

Es waren nun sieben Brüder. Und der erste nahm ein Weib und starb kinderlos;

Fueron, pues, siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió sin hijos.

There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.

There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.

und der zweite nahm das Weib, und dieser starb kinderlos;

Y la tomó el segundo, el cual también murió sin hijos.

And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.

The second took her as wife, and he died childless.

und der dritte nahm sie; desgleichen aber auch die sieben hinterließen keine Kinder und starben.

Y la tomó el tercero: asimismo también todos siete: y murieron sin dejar prole.

And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.

The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.

Zuletzt aber von allen starb auch das Weib.

Y á la postre de todos murió también la mujer.

Last of all the woman died also.

Afterward the woman also died.

In der Auferstehung nun, wessen Weib von ihnen wird sie? Denn die sieben hatten sie zum Weibe.

En la resurrección, pues, ¿mujer de cuál de ellos será? porque los siete la tuvieron por mujer.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”

Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Die Söhne dieser Welt heiraten und werden verheiratet;

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Los hijos de este siglo se casan, y son dados en casamiento:

And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage.

die aber würdig geachtet werden, jener Welt teilhaftig zu sein und der Auferstehung aus den Toten, heiraten nicht, noch werden sie verheiratet;

Mas los que fueren tenidos por dignos de aquel siglo y de la resurrección de los muertos, ni se casan, ni son dados en casamiento:

But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.

denn sie können auch nicht mehr sterben, denn sie sind Engeln gleich und sind Söhne Gottes, da sie Söhne der Auferstehung sind.

Porque no pueden ya más morir: porque son iguales á los ángeles, y son hijos de Dios, cuando son hijos de la resurrección.

Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.

Daß aber die Toten auferstehen, hat auch Moses angedeutet "in dem Dornbusch", wenn er den Herrn "den Gott Abrahams und den Gott Isaaks und den Gott Jakobs" nennt.

Y que los muertos hayan de resucitar, aun Moisés lo enseñó en el pasaje de la zarza, cuando llama al Señor: Dios de Abraham, y Dios de Isaac, y Dios de Jacob.

Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’

Er ist aber nicht Gott der Toten, sondern der Lebendigen; denn für ihn leben alle.

Porque Dios no es Dios de muertos, mas de vivos: porque todos viven á él.

For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”

Einige der Schriftgelehrten aber antworteten und sprachen: Lehrer, du hast wohl gesprochen.

Y respondiéndole unos de los escribas, dijeron: Maestro, bien has dicho.

Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.

Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”

Denn sie wagten nicht mehr, ihn über irgend etwas zu befragen.

Y no osaron más preguntarle algo.

And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.

They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.

Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wie sagen sie, daß der Christus Davids Sohn sei,

Y él les dijo: ¿Cómo dicen que el Cristo es hijo de David?

And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David’s son?

He said to them, “Why do they say that the Christ is David’s son?

und David selbst sagt im Buche der Psalmen: "Der Herr sprach zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten,

Y el mismo David dice en el libro de los Salmos: Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra,

And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,

bis ich deine Feinde lege zum Schemel deiner Füße"?

Entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.

Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’

David also nennt ihn Herr, und wie ist er sein Sohn?

Así que David le llama Señor: ¿cómo pues es su hijo?

David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

“David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?”

Während aber das ganze Volk zuhörte, sprach er zu seinen Jüngern:

Y oyéndole todo el pueblo, dijo á sus discípulos:

Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,

In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,

Hütet euch vor den Schriftgelehrten, die in langen Gewändern einhergehen wollen und die Begrüßungen auf den Märkten lieben und die ersten Sitze in den Synagogen und die ersten Plätze bei den Gastmählern;

Guardaos de los escribas, que quieren andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas;

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

“Beware of those scribes who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;

welche die Häuser der Witwen verschlingen und zum Schein lange Gebete halten. Diese werden ein schwereres Gericht empfangen.

Que devoran las casas de las viudas, poniendo por pretexto la larga oración: éstos recibirán mayor condenación.

Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
