Lucas 20

E avvenne un di quei giorni, che mentre insegnava al popolo nel tempio ed evangelizzava, sopraggiunsero i capi sacerdoti e gli scribi con gli anziani, e gli parlaron così:

Y ACONTECIÓ un día, que enseñando él al pueblo en el templo, y anunciando el evangelio, llegáronse los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas, con los ancianos;

And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

On one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, the priests and scribes came to him with the elders.

Dicci con quale autorità tu fai queste cose, e chi t’ha data codesta autorità.

Y le hablaron, diciendo: Dinos: ¿con qué potestad haces estas cosas? ¿ó quién es el que te ha dado esta potestad?

And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?

They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”

Ed egli, rispondendo, disse loro: Anch’io vi domanderò una cosa:

Respondiendo entonces Jesús, les dijo: Os preguntaré yo también una palabra; respondedme:

And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:

He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:

Il battesimo di Giovanni era dal cielo a dagli uomini?

El bautismo de Juan, ¿era del cielo, ó de los hombres?

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”

Ed essi ragionavan fra loro, dicendo: Se diciamo: Dal cielo, egli ci dirà: Perché non gli credeste?

Mas ellos pensaban dentro de sí, diciendo: Si dijéremos, del cielo, dirá: ¿Por qué, pues, no le creísteis?

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?

They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’

Ma se diciamo: Dagli uomini, tutto il popolo ci lapiderà, perché è persuaso che Giovanni era un profeta.

Y si dijéremos, de los hombres, todo el pueblo nos apedreará: porque están ciertos que Juan era profeta.

But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”

E risposero che non sapevano d’onde fosse.

Y respondieron que no sabían de dónde.

And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.

E Gesù disse loro: Neppur io vi dico con quale autorità fo queste cose.

Entonces Jesús les dijo: Ni yo os digo con qué potestad hago estas cosas.

And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Poi prese a dire al popolo questa parabola: Un uomo piantò una vigna, l’allogò a dei lavoratori, e se n’andò in viaggio per lungo tempo.

Y comenzó á decir al pueblo esta parábola: Un hombre plantó una viña, y arrendóla á labradores, y se ausentó por mucho tiempo.

Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.

He began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.

E nella stagione mandò a que’ lavoratori un servitore perché gli dessero del frutto della vigna; ma i lavoratori, battutolo, lo rimandarono a mani vuote.

Y al tiempo, envió un siervo á los labradores, para que le diesen del fruto de la viña; mas los labradores le hirieron, y enviaron vacío.

And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him and sent him away empty.

Ed egli di nuovo mandò un altro servitore; ma essi, dopo aver battuto e vituperato anche questo, lo rimandarono a mani vuote.

Y volvió á enviar otro siervo; mas ellos á éste también, herido y afrentado, le enviaron vacío.

And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

Ed egli ne mandò ancora un terzo; ed essi, dopo aver ferito anche questo, lo scacciarono.

Y volvió á enviar al tercer siervo; mas ellos también á éste echaron herido.

And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.

He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him and threw him out.

Allora il padron della vigna disse: Che farò? Manderò il mio diletto figliuolo; forse a lui porteranno rispetto.

Entonces el señor de la viña dijo: ¿Qué haré? Enviaré mi hijo amado: quizás cuando á éste vieren, tendrán respeto.

Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.

The lord of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’

Ma quando i lavoratori lo videro, fecero tra loro questo ragionamento: Costui è l’erede; uccidiamolo, affinché l’eredità diventi nostra.

Mas los labradores, viéndole, pensaron entre sí, diciendo: Este es el heredero; venid, matémosle para que la heredad sea nuestra.

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

“But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’

E cacciatolo fuor dalla vigna, lo uccisero. Che farà loro dunque il padron della vigna?

Y echáronle fuera de la viña, y le mataron. ¿Qué pues, les hará el señor de la viña?

So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?

Then they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?

Verrà e distruggerà que’ lavoratori, e darà la vigna ad altri. Ed essi, udito ciò, dissero: Così non sia!

Vendrá, y destruirá á estos labradores, y dará su viña á otros. Y como ellos lo oyeron, dijeron: ¡Dios nos libre!

He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When they heard that, they said, “May that never be!”

Ma egli, guardatili in faccia, disse: Che vuol dir dunque questo che è scritto: La pietra che gli edificatori hanno riprovata è quella che è divenuta pietra angolare?

Mas él mirándolos, dice: ¿Qué pues es lo que está escrito: La piedra que condenaron los edificadores, ésta fué por cabeza de esquina?

And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

But he looked at them and said, “Then what is this that is written, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the chief cornerstone’?

Chiunque cadrà su quella pietra sarà sfracellato; ed ella stritolerà colui sul quale cadrà.

Cualquiera que cayere sobre aquella piedra, será quebrantado; mas sobre el que la piedra cayere, le desmenuzará.

Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whomever it falls on to dust.”

E gli scribi e i capi sacerdoti cercarono di mettergli le mani addosso in quella stessa ora, ma temettero il popolo; poiché si avvidero bene ch’egli avea detto quella parabola per loro.

Y procuraban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas echarle mano en aquella hora, porque entendieron que contra ellos había dicho esta parábola: mas temieron al pueblo.

And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people—for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.

Ed essendosi messi ad osservarlo, gli mandarono delle spie che simulassero d’esser giusti per coglierlo in parole, affin di darlo in man dell’autorità e del potere del governatore.

Y acechándole enviaron espías que se simulasen justos, para sorprenderle en palabras, para que le entregasen al principado y á la potestad del presidente.

And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

They watched him and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.

E quelli gli fecero una domanda, dicendo: Maestro, noi sappiamo che tu parli e insegni dirittamente, e non hai riguardi personali, ma insegni la via di Dio secondo verità:

Los cuales le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que dices y enseñas bien, y que no tienes respeto á persona; antes enseñas el camino de Dios con verdad.

And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:

They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.

E’ egli lecito a noi pagare il tributo a Cesare o no?

¿Nos es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no?

Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cæsar, or no?

Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”

Ma egli, avvedutosi della loro astuzia, disse loro:

Mas él, entendiendo la astucia de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis?

But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test me?

Mostratemi un denaro; di chi porta l’effigie e l’iscrizione? Ed essi dissero: Di Cesare.

Mostradme la moneda. ¿De quién tiene la imagen y la inscripción? Y respondiendo dijeron: De César.

Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Cæsar’s.

Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They answered, “Caesar’s.”

Ed egli a loro: Rendete dunque a Cesare quel ch’è di Cesare, e a Dio quel ch’è di Dio.

Entonces les dijo: Pues dad á César lo que es de César; y lo que es de Dios, á Dios.

And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which be Cæsar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.

He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Ed essi non poteron coglierlo in parole dinanzi al popolo; e maravigliati della sua risposta, si tacquero.

Y no pudieron reprender sus palabras delante del pueblo: antes maravillados de su respuesta, callaron.

And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

They weren’t able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer and were silent.

Poi, accostatisi alcuni dei Sadducei, i quali negano che ci sia risurrezione, lo interrogarono, dicendo:

Y llegándose unos de los Saduceos, los cuales niegan haber resurrección, le preguntaron,

Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,

Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.

Maestro, Mosè ci ha scritto che se il fratello di uno muore avendo moglie ma senza figliuoli, il fratello ne prenda la moglie e susciti progenie a suo fratello.

Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés nos escribió: Si el hermano de alguno muriere teniendo mujer, y muriere sin hijos, que su hermano tome la mujer, y levante simiente á su hermano.

Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man’s brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

They asked him, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up children for his brother.

Or v’erano sette fratelli. Il primo prese moglie, e morì senza figliuoli.

Fueron, pues, siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió sin hijos.

There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.

There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.

Il secondo pure la sposò;

Y la tomó el segundo, el cual también murió sin hijos.

And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.

The second took her as wife, and he died childless.

poi il terzo; e così fu dei sette; non lasciaron figliuoli, e morirono.

Y la tomó el tercero: asimismo también todos siete: y murieron sin dejar prole.

And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.

The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.

In ultimo, anche la donna morì.

Y á la postre de todos murió también la mujer.

Last of all the woman died also.

Afterward the woman also died.

Nella risurrezione dunque, la donna, di chi di loro sarà moglie? Perché i sette l’hanno avuta per moglie.

En la resurrección, pues, ¿mujer de cuál de ellos será? porque los siete la tuvieron por mujer.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”

E Gesù disse loro: I figliuoli di questo secolo sposano e sono sposati;

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Los hijos de este siglo se casan, y son dados en casamiento:

And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage.

ma quelli che saranno reputati degni d’aver parte al secolo avvenire e alla risurrezione dai morti, non sposano e non sono sposati,

Mas los que fueren tenidos por dignos de aquel siglo y de la resurrección de los muertos, ni se casan, ni son dados en casamiento:

But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.

perché neanche possono più morire, giacché son simili agli angeli e son figliuoli di Dio, essendo figliuoli della risurrezione.

Porque no pueden ya más morir: porque son iguales á los ángeles, y son hijos de Dios, cuando son hijos de la resurrección.

Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.

Che poi i morti risuscitino anche Mosè lo dichiarò nel passo del “pruno”, quando chiama il Signore l’Iddio d’Abramo, l’Iddio d’Isacco e l’Iddio di Giacobbe.

Y que los muertos hayan de resucitar, aun Moisés lo enseñó en el pasaje de la zarza, cuando llama al Señor: Dios de Abraham, y Dios de Isaac, y Dios de Jacob.

Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’

Or Egli non è un Dio di morti, ma di viventi; poiché per lui vivono tutti.

Porque Dios no es Dios de muertos, mas de vivos: porque todos viven á él.

For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”

E alcuni degli scribi, rispondendo, dissero: Maestro, hai detto bene.

Y respondiéndole unos de los escribas, dijeron: Maestro, bien has dicho.

Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.

Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”

E non ardivano più fargli alcuna domanda.

Y no osaron más preguntarle algo.

And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.

They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.

Ed egli disse loro: Come dicono che il Cristo è figliuolo di Davide?

Y él les dijo: ¿Cómo dicen que el Cristo es hijo de David?

And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David’s son?

He said to them, “Why do they say that the Christ is David’s son?

Poiché Davide stesso, nel libro dei Salmi, dice: Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra,

Y el mismo David dice en el libro de los Salmos: Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra,

And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,

finché io abbia posto i tuoi nemici per sgabello de’ tuoi piedi.

Entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.

Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’

Davide dunque lo chiama Signore; e com’è egli suo figliuolo?

Así que David le llama Señor: ¿cómo pues es su hijo?

David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

“David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?”

E udendolo tutto il popolo, egli disse a’ suoi discepoli:

Y oyéndole todo el pueblo, dijo á sus discípulos:

Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,

In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,

Guardatevi dagli scribi, i quali passegian volentieri in lunghe vesti ed amano le salutazioni nelle piazze e i primi seggi nelle sinagoghe e i primi posti nei conviti;

Guardaos de los escribas, que quieren andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas;

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

“Beware of those scribes who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;

essi che divorano le case delle vedove e fanno per apparenza lunghe orazioni. Costoro riceveranno maggior condanna.

Que devoran las casas de las viudas, poniendo por pretexto la larga oración: éstos recibirán mayor condenación.

Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
