Porque todos estos, de lo que les sobra echaron para las ofrendas de Dios; mas ésta de su pobreza echó todo el sustento que tenía.
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

And while some were speaking about the temple, that it was adorned with precious stones and votive offerings, he said,

As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,
“As for these things that you see—days will come in which not one stone will be left on another stone that will not be thrown down!”
Estas cosas que veis, días vendrán que no quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea destruída.
As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
“As for these things which you see, the days will come in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down.”
And they asked him, saying, “Teacher, when therefore will these things happen, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”
Y le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, ¿cuándo será esto? ¿y qué señal habrá cuando estas cosas hayan de comenzar á ser hechas?
And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”
And he said, Watch out that you are not deceived! For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time is near!’ Do not go after them!
El entonces dijo: Mirad, no seáis engañados; porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy; y, El tiempo está cerca: por tanto, no vayáis en pos de ellos.
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
He said, “Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.
And when you hear about wars and insurrections, do not be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end will not be at once.”
Empero cuando oyereis guerras y sediciones, no os espantéis; porque es necesario que estas cosas acontezcan primero: mas no luego será el fin.
But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”
Then he said to them, “nation will rise up against nation and kingdom against kingdom.
Entonces les dijo: Se levantará gente contra gente, y reino contra reino;

There will be great earthquakes and famines and plagues in various places. There will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven.
Y habrá grandes terremotos, y en varios lugares hambres y pestilencias: y habrá espantos y grandes señales del cielo.
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
“But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, handing you over to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and governors because of my name.
Mas antes de todas estas cosas os echarán mano, y perseguirán, entregándoos á las sinagogas y á las cárceles, siendo llevados á los reyes y á los gobernadores por causa de mi nombre.
But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Y caerán á filo de espada, y serán llevados cautivos á todas las naciones: y Jerusalem será hollada de las gentes, hasta que los tiempos de las gentes sean cumplidos.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

people fainting from fear and expectation of what is coming on the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Secándose los hombres á causa del temor y expectación de las cosas que sobrevendrán á la redondez de la tierra: porque las virtudes de los cielos serán conmovidas.
Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

When they put out foliage, now you see for yourselves and know that by this time the summer is near.

When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.
So also you, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

Truly I say to you that this generation will never pass away until all things take place!
De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo sea hecho.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

“But take care for yourselves, lest your hearts are weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of daily life, and that day come upon you suddenly
Y mirad por vosotros, que vuestros corazones no sean cargados de glotonería y embriaguez, y de los cuidados de esta vida, y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel día.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
“So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.
like a trap. For it will come upon all who reside on the face of the whole earth.

Velad pues, orando en todo tiempo, que seáis tenidos por dignos de evitar todas estas cosas que han de venir, y de estar en pie delante del Hijo del hombre.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
So throughout the days he was teaching in the temple courts, and throughout the nights he was going out and spending the night on the hill that is called the Mount of Olives.

And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

And all the people were getting up very early in the morning to come to him in the temple courts to listen to him.
