Nesse tempo estava se aproximando a Páscoa, festa judaica durante a qual só se comia pão sem fermento.

Os sacerdotes principais e os mestres da lei estavam planejando a morte de Jesus, tentando encontrar uma maneira de fazer isso sem provocar uma revolta, pois eles tinham medo do povo.

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas buscaban cómo le matarían; mas tenían miedo del pueblo.

And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.

Então Satanás entrou em Judas chamado Iscariotes, um dos Doze.

E ele foi falar com os sacerdotes principais e com os oficiais da guarda do templo para discutir qual seria o melhor jeito de lhes entregar Jesus.

Y fué, y habló con los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y con los magistrados, de cómo se lo entregaría.

And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

He went away and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.

Todos ficaram muito satisfeitos, naturalmente, de saber que ele queria ajudá-los e lhe prometeram uma recompensa.

Los cuales se holgaron, y concertaron de darle dinero.

And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.

Então Judas começou a procurar uma boa oportunidade em que eles pudessem prender Jesus, quando o povo não estivesse em volta.

Y prometió, y buscaba oportunidad para entregarle á ellos sin bulla.

And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

He consented and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.

Ora, chegou o dia da comemoração da Páscoa, quando o cordeiro da festa era morto e comido com o pão sem fermento.

Y vino el día de los ázimos, en el cual era necesario matar la pascua.

Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.

Então Jesus mandou Pedro e João na frente, para procurarem um lugar onde preparar a refeição da Páscoa.

Y envió á Pedro y á Juan, diciendo: Id, aparejadnos la pascua para que comamos.

And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”

“Onde o Senhor quer que a gente vá e a prepare?”, perguntaram eles.

Y ellos le dijeron: ¿Dónde quieres que aparejemos?

And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?

They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”

Ele respondeu: “Logo que vocês entrarem na cidade, verão um homem que vai andando e carregando um pote de água. Sigam esse homem até a porta em que ele entrar.

Y él les dijo: He aquí cuando entrareis en la ciudad, os encontrará un hombre que lleva un cántaro de agua: seguidle hasta la casa donde entrare,

And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.

E digam ao dono da casa: O Mestre pergunta: Onde é o salão de hóspede onde poderei comer a refeição da Páscoa com os meus discípulos?

Y decid al padre de la familia de la casa: El Maestro te dice: ¿Dónde está el aposento donde tengo de comer la pascua con mis discípulos?

And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

Tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

Ele levará vocês ao andar superior, a um aposento espaçoso, todo mobiliado. Aquele é o lugar. Façam os preparativos ali”.

Entonces él os mostrará un gran cenáculo aderezado; aparejad allí.

And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”

Eles foram à cidade e acharam tudo tal como Jesus tinha dito, e prepararam a ceia da Páscoa.

Fueron pues, y hallaron como les había dicho; y aparejaron la pascua.

And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

They went, found things as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

Então chegaram Jesus e os outros discípulos, e na hora certa todos se reuniram à mesa.

Y como fué hora, sentóse á la mesa, y con él los apóstoles.

And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.

E ele disse: “Eu estava esperando muito ansiosamente esta hora, desejoso de comer a refeição da Páscoa com vocês, antes de começar o meu sofrimento.

Y les dijo: En gran manera he deseado comer con vosotros esta pascua antes que padezca;

And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,

Porque eu lhes digo: Não tornarei a comê-la até que ela se cumpra no Reino de Deus”.

Porque os digo que no comeré más de ella, hasta que se cumpla en el reino de Dios.

For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.”

Ele tomou um cálice de vinho e, depois que deu graças, disse: “Tomem isto e partilhem entre vocês.

Y tomando el vaso, habiendo dado gracias, dijo: Tomad esto, y partidlo entre vosotros;

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves,

Porque eu lhes digo que não beberei do fruto da videira outra vez até que venha o Reino de Deus”.

Porque os digo, que no beberé más del fruto de la vid, hasta que el reino de Dios venga.

For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”

A seguir ele pegou um pão; depois que deu graças, partiu-o e o deu aos discípulos, dizendo: “Isto é o meu corpo, entregue por vocês. Comam dele em memória de mim”.

Y tomando el pan, habiendo dado gracias, partió, y les dió, diciendo: Esto es mi cuerpo, que por vosotros es dado: haced esto en memoria de mí.

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”

Depois da ceia, Jesus tomou o cálice de vinho, dizendo: “Este cálice é a nova aliança do meu sangue, derramado em favor de vocês.

Asimismo también el vaso, después que hubo cenado, diciendo: Este vaso es el nuevo pacto en mi sangre, que por vosotros se derrama.

Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

“Mas aqui nesta mesa, entre nós, está o homem que me trairá.

Con todo eso, he aquí la mano del que me entrega, conmigo en la mesa.

But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.

O Filho do Homem vai morrer. Isso faz parte do plano de Deus. Porém, ai do homem que o trai”.

Y á la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, según lo que está determinado; empero ¡ay de aquel hombre por el cual es entregado!

And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!

The Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”

Os discípulos perguntavam então uns aos outros qual deles faria tal coisa.

Ellos entonces comenzaron á preguntar entre sí, cuál de ellos sería el que había de hacer esto.

And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.

They began to question among themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.

Depois começaram a discutir entre si quem deles era considerado o maior.

Y hubo entre ellos una contienda, quién de ellos parecía ser el mayor.

And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.

A dispute also arose among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.

Jesus lhes disse: “Neste mundo, os reis e os homens poderosos mandam os seus escravos para todos os lados e são chamados benfeitores!

Entonces él les dijo: Los reyes de las gentes se enseñorean de ellas; y los que sobre ellas tienen potestad, son llamados bienhechores:

And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’

Mas entre vocês não deve ser assim. Ao contrário, o maior entre vocês deve ser como o menos importante; e o que manda deve ser como o que é mandado.

Mas vosotros, no así: antes el que es mayor entre vosotros, sea como el más mozo; y el que es príncipe, como el que sirve.

But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

But not so with you. Rather, the one who is greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.

Pois quem é o maior, o que se acomoda à mesa e é servido, ou o que serve? Claro que é o que está sentado à mesa. Mas entre vocês eu estou como quem serve.

Porque, ¿cuál es mayor, el que se sienta á la mesa, ó el que sirve? ¿No es el que se sienta á la mesa? Y yo soy entre vosotros como el que sirve.

For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.

Contudo, por vocês terem continuado fiéis a mim durante as minhas provações,

Empero vosotros sois los que habéis permanecido conmigo en mis tentaciones:

Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.

“But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.

e como meu Pai me deu um Reino, eu dou a vocês o direito de participar do Reino,

Yo pues os ordeno un reino, como mi Padre me lo ordenó á mí,

And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,

e de comer e beber à minha mesa naquele Reino e de sentar-se em tronos para julgar as doze tribos de Israel.

Para que comáis y bebáis en mi mesa en mi reino, y os sentéis sobre tronos juzgando á las doce tribus de Israel.

That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

“Simão, Simão, Satanás pediu vocês, para peneirá-los como trigo quando se separa a palha.

Dijo también el Señor: Simón, Simón, he aquí Satanás os ha pedido para zarandaros como á trigo;

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,

Porém eu, em oração, supliquei por você, para que não lhe falte fé. Portanto, quando você tiver se arrependido e voltado a mim, fortaleça a fé dos seus irmãos”.

Mas yo he rogado por ti que tu fe no falte: y tú, una vez vuelto, confirma á tus hermanos.

But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”

Mas Simão disse: “Senhor, eu estou pronto a ir para a prisão, e até a morrer com o Senhor”.

Y él le dijo: Señor, pronto estoy á ir contigo aun á cárcel y á muerte.

And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”

Mas Jesus disse: “Pedro, eu vou dizer uma coisa a você. Entre agora e amanhã de manhã, antes de o galo cantar, você me negará três vezes, afirmando que não me conhece”.

Y él dijo: Pedro, te digo que el gallo no cantará hoy antes que tú niegues tres veces que me conoces.

And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”

Depois Jesus lhes perguntou: “Quando eu os mandei pregarem a boa-nova e vocês saíram sem dinheiro, sem sacola, ou sem sandálias, faltou-lhes alguma coisa?” “Nada”, responderam.

Y á ellos dijo: Cuando os envié sin bolsa, y sin alforja, y sin zapatos, ¿os faltó algo? Y ellos dijeron: Nada.

And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, bag, and sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”

“Mas agora”, disse ele, “peguem sacola, se tiverem, e também o seu dinheiro. E quem não tem espada, é melhor vender a sua capa e comprar uma!

Y les dijo: Pues ahora, el que tiene bolsa, tómela, y también la alforja, y el que no tiene, venda su capa y compre espada.

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.

Pois chegou a hora de cumprir-se esta profecia a meu respeito: ‘Ele será condenado como um criminoso!’ Sim, tudo o que está escrito a meu respeito pelos profetas será cumprido”.

Porque os digo, que es necesario que se cumpla todavía en mí aquello que está escrito: Y con los malos fué contado: porque lo que está escrito de mí, cumplimiento tiene.

For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ For that which concerns me is being fulfilled.”

“Mestre”, responderam eles, “temos aqui duas espadas conosco”. “É suficiente!”, disse ele.

Entonces ellos dijeron: Señor, he aquí dos espadas. Y él les dijo: Basta.

And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”

Então, acompanhado pelos discípulos, ele deixou a sala do andar superior e foi, como de costume, para o monte das Oliveiras.

Y saliendo, se fué, como solía, al monte de las Olivas; y sus discípulos también le siguieron.

And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

He came out and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.

Ali, ele disse-lhes: “Orem a Deus para não serem vencidos pela tentação”.

Y como llegó á aquel lugar, les dijo: Orad que no entréis en tentación.

And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”

Ele afastou-se um pouco, ajoelhou-se e começou a oração:

Y él se apartó de ellos como un tiro de piedra; y puesto de rodillas oró,

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,

“Pai, se o Senhor quiser, afaste de mim este cálice. Porém, eu quero fazer a sua vontade, e não a minha”.

Diciendo: Padre, si quieres, pasa este vaso de mí; empero no se haga mi voluntad, sino la tuya.

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

Então apareceu um anjo do céu que o fortalecia,

Y le apareció un ángel del cielo confortándole.

And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.

porque ele estava em tal agonia de espírito que começou a suar sangue, com gotas caindo ao chão enquanto orava cada vez mais fervorosamente.

Y estando en agonía, oraba más intensamente: y fué su sudor como grandes gotas de sangre que caían hasta la tierra.

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.

Finalmente, Jesus se levantou e voltou aos discípulos e os encontrou dormindo, cansados e dominados pela tristeza.

Y como se levantó de la oración, y vino á sus discípulos, hallólos durmiendo de tristeza;

And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping because of grief,

“Por que estão dormindo?”, perguntou-lhes. “Levantem-se! Orem para que vocês não caiam em tentação”.

Y les dijo: ¿Por qué dormís? Levantaos, y orad que no entréis en tentación.

And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

Porém, mal ele acabara de dizer isso, aproximou-se uma multidão, conduzida por Judas, um dos Doze. Judas aproximou-se de Jesus e o beijou na face.

Estando él aún hablando, he aquí una turba; y el que se llamaba Judas, uno de los doce, iba delante de ellos; y llegóse á Jesús para besarlo.

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.

While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared. He who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.

Mas Jesus lhe perguntou: “Judas, com um beijo você está traindo o Filho do Homem?”

Entonces Jesús le dijo: Judas, ¿con beso entregas al Hijo del hombre?

But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”

Quando os outros discípulos viram o que estava para acontecer, disseram: “Senhor, podemos lutar? Nós trouxemos as espadas!”

Y viendo los que estaban con él lo que había de ser, le dijeron: Señor, ¿heriremos á cuchillo?

When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”

E um deles avançou contra o servo do sumo sacerdote, cortando sua orelha direita.

Y uno de ellos hirió á un siervo del príncipe de los sacerdotes, y le quitó la oreja derecha.

And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

Mas Jesus disse: “Não resistam mais”. E tocando na orelha do homem, ele o curou.

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Dejad hasta aquí. Y tocando su oreja, le sanó.

And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

But Jesus answered, “Let me at least do this”—and he touched his ear and healed him.

Depois Jesus dirigiu-se aos sacerdotes principais, aos oficiais da guarda do templo e aos líderes religiosos que vinham à frente da multidão. “Por acaso estou chefiando uma rebelião”, perguntou ele, “para que vocês tenham vindo armados de espadas e cacetes para me apanhar?

Y Jesús dijo á los que habían venido á él, los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados del templo, y los ancianos: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos?

Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?

Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?

Por que não me prenderam no templo? Eu estava lá todos os dias! Porém esta é a hora de vocês — a hora do poder das trevas”.

Habiendo estado con vosotros cada día en el templo, no extendisteis las manos contra mí; mas ésta es vuestra hora, y la potestad de las tinieblas.

When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”

Então eles o prenderam e o conduziram à casa do sumo sacerdote, enquanto Pedro acompanhava tudo à distância.

Y prendiéndole trajéronle, y metiéronle en casa del príncipe de los sacerdotes. Y Pedro le seguía de lejos.

Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter followed afar off.

They seized him and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance.

Os soldados acenderam uma fogueira no pátio e sentaram em volta para esquentar-se; Pedro uniu-se a eles ali.

Y habiendo encendido fuego en medio de la sala, y sentándose todos alrededor, se sentó también Pedro entre ellos.

And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat among them.

Uma criada viu Pedro à luz da fogueira e começou a olhar para ele. Por fim, ela disse: “Este homem estava com Jesus!”

Y como una criada le vió que estaba sentado al fuego, fijóse en él, y dijo: Y éste con él estaba.

But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.

A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”

Mas Pedro negou! “Mulher”, disse ele, “eu não conheço esse homem!”

Entonces él lo negó, diciendo: Mujer, no le conozco.

And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.

He denied Jesus, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”

Depois, um outro olhou para ele e disse: “Você deve ser um deles!” “Não, senhor, não sou!”, respondeu Pedro.

Y un poco después, viéndole otro, dijo: Y tú de ellos eras. Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no soy.

And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.

After a little while someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter answered, “Man, I am not!”

Cerca de uma hora mais tarde, um outro homem afirmou: “Eu sei que este é um dos discípulos de Jesus, porque também é da Galileia”.

Y como una hora pasada otro afirmaba, diciendo: Verdaderamente también éste estaba con él, porque es Galileo.

And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilæan.

After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”

Mas Pedro respondeu: “Homem, eu não sei do que você está falando”. E, logo que ele disse essas palavras, um galo cantou.

Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no sé qué dices. Y luego, estando él aún hablando, el gallo cantó.

And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.

But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.

Naquele momento, Jesus voltou o olhar para Pedro. Então Pedro lembrou-se da palavra que o Senhor lhe havia dito: “Hoje, antes que o galo cante, você me negará três vezes”.

Entonces, vuelto el Señor, miró á Pedro: y Pedro se acordó de la palabra del Señor como le había dicho: Antes que el gallo cante, me negarás tres veces.

And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”

Então Pedro foi para fora do pátio, chorando amargamente.

Y saliendo fuera Pedro, lloró amargamente.

And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

Nisso os guardas responsáveis por Jesus começaram a zombar dele.

Y los hombres que tenían á Jesús, se burlaban de él hiriéndole;

And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.

The men who held Jesus mocked him and beat him.

Tapavam seus olhos, davam-lhe socos e perguntavam: “Adivinhe, profeta, quem bateu em você?”

Y cubriéndole, herían su rostro, y preguntábanle, diciendo: Profetiza quién es el que te hirió.

And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?

Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”

E diziam muitas outras coisas para insultá-lo.

Y decían otras muchas cosas injuriándole.

And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.

They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.

Cedinho, na manhã seguinte, reuniu-se o Sinédrio, inclusive os sacerdotes principais e todos os mestres da Lei. Jesus foi conduzido à presença desse grupo.

Y cuando fué de día, se juntaron los ancianos del pueblo, y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y le trajeron á su concilio,

And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,

As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people were gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,

“Se você é o Cristo, diga-nos”, intimaram eles. Porém Jesus respondeu: “Se eu lhes disser, vocês não acreditarão em mim,

Diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Cristo? dínoslo. Y les dijo: Si os lo dijere, no creeréis;

Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

“If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,

nem me deixarão explicar nada.

Y también si os preguntare, no me responderéis, ni me soltaréis:

And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.

and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.

Mas de agora em diante o Filho do Homem se assentará à direita do Deus Todo-poderoso”.

Mas después de ahora el Hijo del hombre se asentará á la diestra de la potencia de Dios.

Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”

Eles gritaram: “Então você diz que é o Filho de Deus?” E ele respondeu: “São vocês que estão dizendo”.

Y dijeron todos: ¿Luego tú eres Hijo de Dios? Y él les dijo: Vosotros decís que yo soy.

Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You say it, because I am.”

“Que necessidade temos de outras testemunhas?”, disseram eles, “pois nós mesmos ouvimos dos próprios lábios de Jesus!”

Entonces ellos dijeron: ¿Qué más testimonio deseamos? porque nosotros lo hemos oído de su boca.

And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.

They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”
