Lucas 23

E levantando-se toda a multidão deles, o levaram a Pilatos.

LEVANTÁNDOSE entonces toda la multitud de ellos, lleváronle á Pilato.

And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate.

E começaram a acusá-lo, dizendo: Encontramos este homem ,que perverte a nação, e proíbe dar tributo a César, dizendo que ele mesmo é Cristo, o Rei.

Y comenzaron á acusarle, diciendo: A éste hemos hallado que pervierte la nación, y que veda dar tributo á César, diciendo que él es el Cristo, el rey.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”

E Pilatos lhe perguntou, dizendo: Tu és o Rei dos judeus?E respondendo, ele lhe disse: Tu o dizes.

Entonces Pilato le preguntó, diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiéndole él, dijo: Tú lo dices.

And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered him, “So you say.”

E Pilatos disse aos chefes dos sacerdotes, e às multidões: Não acho culpa nenhuma neste homem.

Y Pilato dijo á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á las gentes: Ninguna culpa hallo en este hombre.

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

Mas eles insistiam, dizendo: Ele incita ao povo, ensinando por toda a Judeia, começando desde a Galileia até aqui.

Mas ellos porfiaban, diciendo: Alborota al pueblo, enseñando por toda Judea, comenzando desde Galilea hasta aquí.

And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.”

Então Pilatos, ouvindo falar da Galileia, perguntou se aquele homem era galileu.

Entonces Pilato, oyendo de Galilea, preguntó si el hombre era Galileo.

When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilæan.

But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean.

E quando soube que era da jurisdição de Herodes, ele o entregou a Herodes, que naqueles dias também estava em Jerusalém.

Y como entendió que era de la jurisdicción de Herodes, le remitió á Herodes, el cual también estaba en Jerusalem en aquellos días.

And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.

E Herodes, ao ver Jesus, alegrou-se muito, porque havia muito tempo que desejava o ver, pois ouvia muitas coisas sobre ele; e esperava ver algum sinal feito por ele.

Y Herodes, viendo á Jesús, holgóse mucho, porque hacía mucho que deseaba verle; porque había oído de él muchas cosas, y tenía esperanza que le vería hacer alguna señal.

And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him.

E perguntava-lhe com muitas palavras, mas ele nada lhe respondia;

Y le preguntaba con muchas palabras; mas él nada le respondió:

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

He questioned him with many words, but he gave no answers.

E estavam lá os chefes dos sacerdotes, e os escribas, acusando-o com veemência.

Y estaban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas acusándole con gran porfía.

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

The chief priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing him.

E Herodes, com seus soldados, desprezando-o, e escarnecendo dele, o vestiu com uma roupa luxuosa, e o enviou de volta a Pilatos.

Mas Herodes con su corte le menospreció, y escarneció, vistiéndole de una ropa rica; y volvióle á enviar á Pilato.

And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.

E no mesmo dia Pilatos e Herodes se fizeram amigos; porque antes tinham inimizade um contra o outro.

Y fueron hechos amigos entre sí Pilato y Herodes en el mismo día; porque antes eran enemigos entre sí.

And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other.

E Pilatos, convocando aos chefes dos sacerdotes, aos líderes, e ao povo, disse-lhes:

Entonces Pilato, convocando los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados, y el pueblo,

And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people,

Vós me trouxestes a este homem, como que perverte o povo; e eis que eu, examinando-o em vossa presença, nenhuma culpa eu acho neste homem, das de que o acusais.

Les dijo: Me habéis presentado á éste por hombre que desvía al pueblo: y he aquí, preguntando yo delante de vosotros, no he hallado culpa alguna en este hombre de aquéllas de que le acusáis.

Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.

E nem também Herodes; porque a ele eu vos remeti; e eis que ele nada fez para que seja digno de morte.

Y ni aun Herodes; porque os remití á él, y he aquí, ninguna cosa digna de muerte ha hecho.

No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.

Então eu o castigarei, e depois o soltarei.

Le soltaré, pues, castigado.

I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

I will therefore chastise him and release him.”

Y tenía necesidad de soltarles uno en cada fiesta.

(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.

Porém todos clamavam juntos, dizendo: Tirai-o daqui! E soltai Barrabás para nós!

Mas toda la multitud dió voces á una, diciendo: Quita á éste, y suéltanos á Barrabás:

And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

But they all cried out together, saying, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”—

(O qual por uma rebelião feita na cidade, e por uma morte, tinha sido lançado na prisão).

(El cual había sido echado en la cárcel por una sedición hecha en la ciudad, y una muerte.)

(Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.

Pilatos falou-lhes então outra vez, querendo soltar Jesus.

Y hablóles otra vez Pilato, queriendo soltar á Jesús.

Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.

Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus,

Mas eles clamavam, dizendo: Crucifica -o ! crucifica-o!

Pero ellos volvieron á dar voces, diciendo: Crucifícale, crucifícale.

But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

but they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify him!”

E ele lhes disse a terceira vez: Pois que mal este fez? Nenhuma culpa de morte nele eu achei. Então eu o castigarei, e depois o soltarei.

Y él les dijo la tercera vez: ¿Pues qué mal ha hecho éste? Ninguna culpa de muerte he hallado en él: le castigaré, pues, y le soltaré.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

He said to them the third time, “Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.”

Mas eles continuavam, com grandes gritos, pedindo que fosse crucificado. E seus gritos, e os dos chefes dos sacerdotes, prevaleceram.

Mas ellos instaban á grandes voces, pidiendo que fuese crucificado. Y las voces de ellos y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes crecían.

And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.

Então Pilatos julgou que se fizesse o que pediam.

Entonces Pilato juzgó que se hiciese lo que ellos pedían;

And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.

E soltou-lhes ao que fora lançado na prisão por uma rebelião e uma morte, que era o que pediam; porém a Jesus lhes entregou à sua vontade.

Y les soltó á aquél que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó á Jesús á la voluntad de ellos.

And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.

E enquanto o levavam, tomaram a um Simão Cireneu, que vinha do campo, e puseram-lhe a cruz às costas, para que a levasse atrás de Jesus.

Y llevándole, tomaron á un Simón Cireneo, que venía del campo, y le pusieron encima la cruz para que la llevase tras Jesús.

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid the cross on him to carry it after Jesus.

E seguia-o uma grande multidão do povo, e de mulheres, as quais também ficavam desconsoladas, e lamentavam por ele.

Y le seguía una grande multitud de pueblo, y de mujeres, las cuales le lloraban y lamentaban.

And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.

E Jesus, virando-se para elas, disse: Filhas de Jerusalém, não choreis por mim, mas chorai por vós mesmas, e por vossos filhos.

Mas Jesús, vuelto á ellas, les dice: Hijas de Jerusalem, no me lloréis á mí, mas llorad por vosotras mismas, y por vuestros hijos.

But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

Porque eis que vêm dias em que dirão: Bem-aventuradas as estéreis, e os ventres que não deram a luz, e os peitos que não amamentaram.

Porque he aquí vendrán días en que dirán: Bienaventuradas las estériles, y los vientres que no engendraron, y los pechos que no criaron.

For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’

Então começarão a dizer aos montes: Cai sobre nós; E aos morros: Cobri-nos!

Entonces comenzarán á decir á los montes: Caed sobre nosotros: y á los collados: Cubridnos.

Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Then they will begin to tell the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and tell the hills, ‘Cover us.’

Porque, se fazem isto à árvore verde, o que se fará com a árvore seca?

Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará?

For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?”

E também levaram outros dois, que eram malfeitores, para matar com ele.

Y llevaban también con él otros dos, malhechores, á ser muertos.

And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death.

E quando chegaram ao lugar, chamado a Caveira, o crucificaram ali, e aos malfeitores, um à direita, e outro à esquerda.

Y como vinieron al lugar que se llama de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y á los malhechores, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

When they came to the place that is called “The Skull”, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.

E Jesus dizia: Pai, perdoa-lhes, porque não sabem o que fazem. E, repartindo suas roupas, lançaram sortes.

Y Jesús decía: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. Y partiendo sus vestidos, echaron suertes.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

E o povo estava olhando; e os líderes também zombavam com eles, dizendo: Salvou a outros, salve agora a si mesmo, se é o Cristo, o escolhido de Deus.

Y el pueblo estaba mirando; y se burlaban de él los príncipes con ellos, diciendo: A otros hizo salvos: sálvese á sí, si éste es el Mesías, el escogido de Dios.

And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”

E os soldados também escarneciam dele, aproximando-se dele, e mostrando-lhe vinagre;

Escarnecían de él también los soldados, llegándose y presentándole vinagre,

And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar,

E dizendo: Se tu és o Rei dos judeus, salva a ti mesmo.

Y diciendo: Si tú eres el Rey de los Judíos, sálvate á ti mismo.

And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.

and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!”

E também estava acima dele um título escrito com letras gregas, romanas e hebraicas: ESTE É O REI DOS JUDEUS.

Y había también sobre él un título escrito con letras griegas, y latinas, y hebraicas: ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

E um dos malfeitores que estavam pendurados o insultava, dizendo: Se tu és o Cristo, salva a ti mesmo, e a nós.

Y uno de los malhechores que estaban colgados, le injuriaba, diciendo: Si tú eres el Cristo, sálvate á ti mismo y á nosotros.

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!”

Porém o outro, respondendo, repreendia-o, dizendo: Tu ainda não temes a Deus, mesmo estando na mesma condenação?

Y respondiendo el otro, reprendióle, diciendo: ¿Ni aun tú temes á Dios, estando en la misma condenación?

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

E nós realmente estamos sendo punidos justamente, porque estamos recebendo de volta merecidamente por aquilo que praticamos; mas este nada fez de errado.

Y nosotros, á la verdad, justamente padecemos; porque recibimos lo que merecieron nuestros hechos: mas éste ningún mal hizo.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

E disse a Jesus: Senhor, lembra-te de mim, quando chegares em teu Reino.

Y dijo á Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vinieres á tu reino.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

E Jesus lhe disse: Em verdade te digo, hoje estarás comigo no paraíso.

Entonces Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo, que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

E era já quase a hora sexta, e houve trevas em toda a terra, até a hora nona.

Y cuando era como la hora de sexta, fueron hechas tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.

And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.

E o sol se escureceu, e o véu do templo se rasgou ao meio.

Y el sol se obscureció: y el velo del templo se rompió por medio.

And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

E Jesus, clamando em alta voz, disse: Pai, em tuas mãos eu entrego meu espírito.E tendo dito isto, parou de respirar.

Entonces Jesús, clamando á gran voz, dijo: Padre, en tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu. Y habiendo dicho esto, espiró.

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.

E o centurião, vendo o o que tinha acontecido, deu glória a Deus, dizendo: Verdadeiramente este homem era justo.

Y como el centurión vió lo que había acontecido, dió gloria á Dios, diciendo: Verdaderamente este hombre era justo.

Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous man.”

E todas as multidões que se juntavam para observar, vendo o que tinha acontecido, voltaram, batendo nos peitos.

Y toda la multitud de los que estaban presentes á este espectáculo, viendo lo que había acontecido, se volvían hiriendo sus pechos.

And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

All the multitudes that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their chests.

E todos os seus conhecidos, e as mulheres que acompanhando -o desde a Galileia, tinham o seguido, estavam longe, vendo estas coisas.

Mas todos sus conocidos, y las mujeres que le habían seguido desde Galilea, estaban lejos mirando estas cosas.

And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.

All his acquaintances and the women who followed with him from Galilee stood at a distance, watching these things.

E eis que um homem, de nome José, membro do conselho de justiça ,sendo homem bom e justo.

Y he aquí un varón llamado José, el cual era senador, varón bueno y justo,

And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:

Behold, there was a man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man

(Que não tinha concordado, nem com o conselho, nem em atos que fizeram), da cidade de Arimateia, da terra dos judeus, e que também esperava pelo Reino de Deus.

(El cual no había consentido en el consejo ni en los hechos de ellos), de Arimatea, ciudad de la Judea, el cual también esperaba el reino de Dios;

(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathæa, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

(he had not consented to their counsel and deed), from Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, who was also waiting for God’s Kingdom.

Este, chegando a Pilatos, pediu o corpo de Jesus.

Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.

This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

This man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body.

E tendo o tirado, o envolveu em um tecido de linho, e o pôs em um sepulcro, escavado em uma rocha, onde nunca ainda tinha sido posto.

Y quitado, lo envolvió en una sábana, y le puso en un sepulcro abierto en una peña, en el cual ninguno había aún sido puesto.

And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

He took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb that was cut in stone, where no one had ever been laid.

E era o dia da preparação, e o sábado estava começando.

Y era día de la víspera de la Pascua; y estaba para rayar el sábado.

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

It was the day of the Preparation, and the Sabbath was drawing near.

E as mulheres que vieram com ele da Galileia também o seguiram, e viram o sepulcro, e como seu corpo foi posto.

Y las mujeres que con él habían venido de Galilea, siguieron también y vieron el sepulcro, y cómo fué puesto su cuerpo.

And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.

The women who had come with him out of Galilee followed after, and saw the tomb and how his body was laid.

E elas, ao voltarem, prepararam materiais aromáticos e óleos perfumados. E descansaram o sábado, conforme o mandamento.

Y vueltas, aparejaron drogas aromáticas y ungüentos; y reposaron el sábado, conforme al mandamiento.

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

They returned and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
