Puis ils se levèrent tous et le menèrent à Pilate.

LEVANTÁNDOSE entonces toda la multitud de ellos, lleváronle á Pilato.

And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate.

Et ils se mirent à l’accuser, disant : nous avons trouvé cet homme sollicitant la nation à la révolte, et défendant de donner le tribut à César, et se disant être le Christ, le Roi.

Y comenzaron á acusarle, diciendo: A éste hemos hallado que pervierte la nación, y que veda dar tributo á César, diciendo que él es el Cristo, el rey.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”

Et Pilate l’interrogea, disant : ss-tu le Roi des Juifs ? Et Jésus répondant, lui dit : tu le dis.

Entonces Pilato le preguntó, diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiéndole él, dijo: Tú lo dices.

And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered him, “So you say.”

Alors Pilate dit aux principaux Sacrificateurs et à la troupe du peuple : je ne trouve aucun crime en cet homme.

Y Pilato dijo á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á las gentes: Ninguna culpa hallo en este hombre.

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

Mais ils insistaient encore davantage, disant : il émeut le peuple, enseignant par toute la Judée, et ayant commencé depuis la Galilée jusques ici.

Mas ellos porfiaban, diciendo: Alborota al pueblo, enseñando por toda Judea, comenzando desde Galilea hasta aquí.

And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.”

Or quand Pilate entendit parler de la Galilée, il demanda si cet homme était Galiléen.

Entonces Pilato, oyendo de Galilea, preguntó si el hombre era Galileo.

When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilæan.

But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean.

Et ayant appris qu’il était de la juridiction d’Hérode, il le renvoya à Hérode, qui en ces jours-là était aussi à Jérusalem.

Y como entendió que era de la jurisdicción de Herodes, le remitió á Herodes, el cual también estaba en Jerusalem en aquellos días.

And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.

Et lorsque Hérode vit Jésus, il en fut fort joyeux, car il y avait longtemps qu’il désirait de le voir, à cause qu’il entendait dire plusieurs choses de lui, et il espérait qu’il lui verrait faire quelque miracle.

Y Herodes, viendo á Jesús, holgóse mucho, porque hacía mucho que deseaba verle; porque había oído de él muchas cosas, y tenía esperanza que le vería hacer alguna señal.

And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him.

Il l’interrogea donc par divers discours ; mais Jésus ne lui répondit rien.

Y le preguntaba con muchas palabras; mas él nada le respondió:

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

He questioned him with many words, but he gave no answers.

Et les principaux Sacrificateurs et les Scribes comparurent, l’accusant avec une grande véhémence.

Y estaban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas acusándole con gran porfía.

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

Mais Hérode avec ses gens l’ayant méprisé, et s’étant moqué de lui, après qu’il l’eut revêtu d’un vêtement blanc, le renvoya à Pilate.

Mas Herodes con su corte le menospreció, y escarneció, vistiéndole de una ropa rica; y volvióle á enviar á Pilato.

And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.

Et en ce même jour Pilate et Hérode devinrent amis entre eux ; car auparavant ils étaient ennemis.

Y fueron hechos amigos entre sí Pilato y Herodes en el mismo día; porque antes eran enemigos entre sí.

And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other.

Alors Pilate ayant appelé les principaux Sacrificateurs, et les Gouverneurs, et le peuple, il leur dit :

Entonces Pilato, convocando los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados, y el pueblo,

And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

Vous m’avez présenté cet homme comme soulevant le peuple ; et voici, l’en ayant fait répondre devant vous, je n’ai trouvé en cet homme aucun de ces crimes dont vous l’accusez ;

Les dijo: Me habéis presentado á éste por hombre que desvía al pueblo: y he aquí, preguntando yo delante de vosotros, no he hallado culpa alguna en este hombre de aquéllas de que le acusáis.

Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.

Ni Hérode non plus ; car je vous ai renvoyés à lui, et voici, rien ne lui a été fait qui marque qu’il soit digne de mort.

Y ni aun Herodes; porque os remití á él, y he aquí, ninguna cosa digna de muerte ha hecho.

No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.

Quand donc je l’aurai fait fouetter, je le relâcherai.

Le soltaré, pues, castigado.

I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

Or il fallait qu’il leur relâchât quelqu’un à la fête.

Y tenía necesidad de soltarles uno en cada fiesta.

(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.

Et toutes les troupes s’écrièrent ensemble, disant : ôte celui-ci, et relâche-nous Barabbas ;

Mas toda la multitud dió voces á una, diciendo: Quita á éste, y suéltanos á Barrabás:

And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

But they all cried out together, saying, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”—

Qui avait été mis en prison pour quelque sédition faite dans la ville, avec meurtre.

(El cual había sido echado en la cárcel por una sedición hecha en la ciudad, y una muerte.)

(Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.

Pilate donc leur parla encore, voulant relâcher Jésus.

Y hablóles otra vez Pilato, queriendo soltar á Jesús.

Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.

Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus,

Mais ils s’écriaient, disant : crucifie, Crucifie-le.

Pero ellos volvieron á dar voces, diciendo: Crucifícale, crucifícale.

But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

but they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify him!”

Et il leur dit pour la troisième fois, mais quel mal a fait cet homme ? je ne trouve rien en lui qui soit digne de mort ; l’ayant donc fait fouetter, je le relâcherai.

Y él les dijo la tercera vez: ¿Pues qué mal ha hecho éste? Ninguna culpa de muerte he hallado en él: le castigaré, pues, y le soltaré.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

He said to them the third time, “Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.”

Mais ils insistaient à grands cris, demandant qu’il fût crucifié ; et leurs cris et ceux des principaux Sacrificateurs se renforçaient.

Mas ellos instaban á grandes voces, pidiendo que fuese crucificado. Y las voces de ellos y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes crecían.

And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.

Alors Pilate prononça que ce qu’ils demandaient, fût fait.

Entonces Pilato juzgó que se hiciese lo que ellos pedían;

And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.

Et il leur relâcha celui qui pour sédition et pour meurtre avait été mis en prison, et lequel ils demandaient ; et il abandonna Jésus à leur volonté.

Y les soltó á aquél que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó á Jesús á la voluntad de ellos.

And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.

Et comme ils l’emmenaient, ils prirent un certain Simon, Cyrénien, qui venait des champs, et le chargèrent de la croix pour la porter après Jésus.

Y llevándole, tomaron á un Simón Cireneo, que venía del campo, y le pusieron encima la cruz para que la llevase tras Jesús.

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid the cross on him to carry it after Jesus.

Or il était suivi d’une grande multitude de peuple et de femmes, qui se frappaient la poitrine, et le pleuraient.

Y le seguía una grande multitud de pueblo, y de mujeres, las cuales le lloraban y lamentaban.

And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.

Mais Jésus se tournant vers elles, leur dit : filles de Jérusalem, ne pleurez point sur moi, mais pleurez sur vous-mêmes, et sur vos enfants.

Mas Jesús, vuelto á ellas, les dice: Hijas de Jerusalem, no me lloréis á mí, mas llorad por vosotras mismas, y por vuestros hijos.

But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

Car voici, les jours viendront auxquels on dira : bienheureuses sont les stériles, et celles qui n’ont point eu d’enfant, et les mamelles qui n’ont point nourri.

Porque he aquí vendrán días en que dirán: Bienaventuradas las estériles, y los vientres que no engendraron, y los pechos que no criaron.

For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’

Alors ils se mettront à dire aux montagnes : tombez sur nous ; et aux côteaux : couvrez-nous.

Entonces comenzarán á decir á los montes: Caed sobre nosotros: y á los collados: Cubridnos.

Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Then they will begin to tell the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and tell the hills, ‘Cover us.’

Car s’ils font ces choses au bois vert, que sera-t-il fait au bois sec ?

Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará?

For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?”

Deux autres aussi qui étaient des malfaiteurs, furent menés pour les faire mourir avec lui.

Y llevaban también con él otros dos, malhechores, á ser muertos.

And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death.

Et quand ils furent venus au lieu qui est appelé le Test, ils le crucifièrent là, et les malfaiteurs aussi, l’un à la droite, et l’autre à la gauche.

Y como vinieron al lugar que se llama de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y á los malhechores, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

When they came to the place that is called “The Skull”, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.

Mais Jésus disait : Père, pardonne-leur, car ils ne savent ce qu’ils font. Ils firent ensuite le partage de ses vêtements, et ils les jetèrent au sort.

Y Jesús decía: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. Y partiendo sus vestidos, echaron suertes.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

Et le peuple se tenait là regardant ; et les Gouverneurs aussi se moquaient de lui avec eux, disant : il a sauvé les autres, qu’il se sauve lui-même, s’il est le Christ, l’élu de Dieu.

Y el pueblo estaba mirando; y se burlaban de él los príncipes con ellos, diciendo: A otros hizo salvos: sálvese á sí, si éste es el Mesías, el escogido de Dios.

And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”

Les soldats aussi se moquaient de lui, s’approchant, et lui présentant du vinaigre ;

Escarnecían de él también los soldados, llegándose y presentándole vinagre,

And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar,

Et disant : si tu es le Roi des Juifs, sauve-toi toi-même.

Y diciendo: Si tú eres el Rey de los Judíos, sálvate á ti mismo.

And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.

Or il y avait au-dessus de lui un écriteau en lettres Grecques, et Romaines, et Hébraïques, en ces mots : CELUI-CI EST LE ROI DES JUIFS.

Y había también sobre él un título escrito con letras griegas, y latinas, y hebraicas: ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

Et l’un des malfaiteurs qui étaient pendus, l’outrageait, disant : si tu es le Christ, sauve-toi toi-même, et nous aussi.

Y uno de los malhechores que estaban colgados, le injuriaba, diciendo: Si tú eres el Cristo, sálvate á ti mismo y á nosotros.

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!”

Mais l’autre prenant la parole le censurait fortement, disant : au moins ne crains-tu point Dieu, puisque tu es dans la même condamnation ?

Y respondiendo el otro, reprendióle, diciendo: ¿Ni aun tú temes á Dios, estando en la misma condenación?

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

Et pour nous, nous y sommes justement : car nous recevons des choses dignes de nos crimes, mais celui-ci n’a rien fait qui ne se dût faire.

Y nosotros, á la verdad, justamente padecemos; porque recibimos lo que merecieron nuestros hechos: mas éste ningún mal hizo.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

Puis il disait à Jésus : Seigneur ! souviens-toi de moi quand tu viendras en ton Règne.

Y dijo á Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vinieres á tu reino.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

Et Jésus lui dit : en vérité je te dis, qu’aujourd’hui tu seras avec moi en paradis.

Entonces Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo, que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Or il était environ six heures, et il se fit des ténèbres par tout le pays jusqu’à neuf heures ;

Y cuando era como la hora de sexta, fueron hechas tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.

And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.

Et le soleil fut obscurci, et le voile du Temple se déchira par le milieu.

Y el sol se obscureció: y el velo del templo se rompió por medio.

And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Et Jésus criant à haute voix, dit : Père, je remets mon esprit entre tes mains ! Et ayant dit cela, il rendit l’esprit.

Entonces Jesús, clamando á gran voz, dijo: Padre, en tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu. Y habiendo dicho esto, espiró.

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.

Or le Centenier voyant ce qui était arrivé, glorifia Dieu, disant : certes cet homme était juste.

Y como el centurión vió lo que había acontecido, dió gloria á Dios, diciendo: Verdaderamente este hombre era justo.

Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous man.”

Et toutes les troupes qui s’étaient assemblées à ce spectacle, voyant les choses qui étaient arrivées, s’en retournaient frappant leurs poitrines.

Y toda la multitud de los que estaban presentes á este espectáculo, viendo lo que había acontecido, se volvían hiriendo sus pechos.

And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

All the multitudes that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their chests.

Et tous ceux de sa connaissance, et les femmes qui l’avaient suivi de Galilée, se tenaient loin, regardant ces choses.

Mas todos sus conocidos, y las mujeres que le habían seguido desde Galilea, estaban lejos mirando estas cosas.

And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.

All his acquaintances and the women who followed with him from Galilee stood at a distance, watching these things.

Et voici un personnage appelé Joseph, Conseiller, homme de bien, et juste,

Y he aquí un varón llamado José, el cual era senador, varón bueno y justo,

And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:

Behold, there was a man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man

Qui n’avait point consenti à leur résolution, ni à leur action, lequel était d’Arimathée ville des Juifs, et qui aussi attendait le Règne de Dieu ;

(El cual no había consentido en el consejo ni en los hechos de ellos), de Arimatea, ciudad de la Judea, el cual también esperaba el reino de Dios;

(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathæa, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

(he had not consented to their counsel and deed), from Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, who was also waiting for God’s Kingdom.

Etant venu à Pilate, lui demanda le corps de Jésus.

Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.

This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

This man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body.

Et l’ayant descendu de la croix, il l’enveloppa dans un linceul, et le mit en un sépulcre taillé dans le roc, où personne n’avait encore été mis.

Y quitado, lo envolvió en una sábana, y le puso en un sepulcro abierto en una peña, en el cual ninguno había aún sido puesto.

And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

He took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb that was cut in stone, where no one had ever been laid.

Or c’était le jour de la préparation, et le jour du Sabbat allait commencer.

Y era día de la víspera de la Pascua; y estaba para rayar el sábado.

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

It was the day of the Preparation, and the Sabbath was drawing near.

Et les femmes qui étaient venues de Galilée avec Jésus, ayant suivi Joseph, regardèrent le sépulcre, et comment le corps de Jésus y était mis.

Y las mujeres que con él habían venido de Galilea, siguieron también y vieron el sepulcro, y cómo fué puesto su cuerpo.

And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.

The women who had come with him out of Galilee followed after, and saw the tomb and how his body was laid.

Puis s’en étant retournées, elles préparèrent des drogues aromatiques et des parfums ; et le jour du Sabbat elles se reposèrent selon le commandement de la Loi.

Y vueltas, aparejaron drogas aromáticas y ungüentos; y reposaron el sábado, conforme al mandamiento.

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
