Und die ganze Menge derselben stand auf, und sie führten ihn zu Pilatus.

And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

Sie fingen aber an, ihn zu verklagen, indem sie sagten: Diesen haben wir befunden als einen, der unsere Nation verführt und wehrt, dem Kaiser Steuer zu geben, indem er sagt, dass er selbst Christus, ein König, sei.

Y comenzaron á acusarle, diciendo: A éste hemos hallado que pervierte la nación, y que veda dar tributo á César, diciendo que él es el Cristo, el rey.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”

Pilatus aber fragte ihn und sprach: Bist du der König der Juden? Er aber antwortete ihm und sprach: Du sagst es.

Entonces Pilato le preguntó, diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiéndole él, dijo: Tú lo dices.

And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered him, “So you say.”

Pilatus aber sprach zu den Hohenpriestern und den Volksmengen: Ich finde keine Schuld an diesem Menschen.

Y Pilato dijo á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á las gentes: Ninguna culpa hallo en este hombre.

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

Sie aber bestanden darauf und sagten: Er wiegelt das Volk auf, indem er durch ganz Judäa hin lehrt, anfangend von Galiläa bis hierher.

Mas ellos porfiaban, diciendo: Alborota al pueblo, enseñando por toda Judea, comenzando desde Galilea hasta aquí.

And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.”

Als aber Pilatus von Galiläa hörte, fragte er, ob der Mensch ein Galiläer sei.

Entonces Pilato, oyendo de Galilea, preguntó si el hombre era Galileo.

When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilæan.

But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean.

Und als er erfahren hatte, dass er aus dem Gebiet des Herodes sei, sandte er ihn zu Herodes, der auch selbst in jenen Tagen in Jerusalem war.

Y como entendió que era de la jurisdicción de Herodes, le remitió á Herodes, el cual también estaba en Jerusalem en aquellos días.

And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.

Als aber Herodes Jesus sah, freute er sich sehr; denn er wünschte schon seit langer Zeit, ihn zu sehen, weil er vieles über ihn gehört hatte, und er hoffte, irgendein Zeichen durch ihn geschehen zu sehen.

Y Herodes, viendo á Jesús, holgóse mucho, porque hacía mucho que deseaba verle; porque había oído de él muchas cosas, y tenía esperanza que le vería hacer alguna señal.

And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him.

Er befragte ihn aber mit vielen Worten; er aber antwortete ihm nichts.

Y le preguntaba con muchas palabras; mas él nada le respondió:

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

Die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten standen aber auf und verklagten ihn heftig.

Y estaban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas acusándole con gran porfía.

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

Als aber Herodes mit seinen Kriegsleuten ihn geringschätzig behandelt und verspottet hatte, warf er ihm ein glänzendes Gewand um und sandte ihn zu Pilatus zurück.

Mas Herodes con su corte le menospreció, y escarneció, vistiéndole de una ropa rica; y volvióle á enviar á Pilato.

And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.

Pilatus und Herodes aber wurden an demselben Tag Freunde miteinander, denn vorher waren sie gegeneinander in Feindschaft.

Y fueron hechos amigos entre sí Pilato y Herodes en el mismo día; porque antes eran enemigos entre sí.

And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other.

Als aber Pilatus die Hohenpriester und die Obersten und das Volk zusammengerufen hatte,

Entonces Pilato, convocando los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados, y el pueblo,

And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

sprach er zu ihnen: Ihr habt diesen Menschen zu mir gebracht, als mache er das Volk abwendig; und siehe, ich habe ihn vor euch verhört und habe an diesem Menschen keine Schuld gefunden, bezüglich dessen ihr ihn anklagt;

Les dijo: Me habéis presentado á éste por hombre que desvía al pueblo: y he aquí, preguntando yo delante de vosotros, no he hallado culpa alguna en este hombre de aquéllas de que le acusáis.

Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.

aber auch Herodes nicht, denn ich habe euch zu ihm gesandt, und siehe, nichts Todeswürdiges ist von ihm getan.

Y ni aun Herodes; porque os remití á él, y he aquí, ninguna cosa digna de muerte ha hecho.

No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

Ich will ihn nun züchtigen und freilassen.

Le soltaré, pues, castigado.

Die ganze Menge schrie aber zugleich und sagte: Weg mit diesem, lass uns aber den Barabbas frei!

And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

But they all cried out together, saying, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”—

Derselbe war wegen eines gewissen Aufruhrs, der in der Stadt geschehen war, und wegen eines Mordes ins Gefängnis geworfen.

(El cual había sido echado en la cárcel por una sedición hecha en la ciudad, y una muerte.)

(Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.

Pilatus rief ihnen nun wiederum zu, indem er Jesus freilassen wollte.

Y hablóles otra vez Pilato, queriendo soltar á Jesús.

Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.

Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus,

Sie aber schrien dagegen und sagten: Kreuzige, kreuzige ihn!

Pero ellos volvieron á dar voces, diciendo: Crucifícale, crucifícale.

But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

but they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify him!”

Er aber sprach zum dritten Mal zu ihnen: Was hat dieser denn Böses getan? Ich habe keine Ursache des Todes an ihm gefunden. Ich will ihn nun züchtigen und freilassen.

Y él les dijo la tercera vez: ¿Pues qué mal ha hecho éste? Ninguna culpa de muerte he hallado en él: le castigaré, pues, y le soltaré.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

He said to them the third time, “Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.”

Sie aber lagen ihm an mit großem Geschrei und forderten, dass er gekreuzigt würde. Und ihr †und der Hohenpriester Geschrei nahm überhand.

Mas ellos instaban á grandes voces, pidiendo que fuese crucificado. Y las voces de ellos y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes crecían.

And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.

Pilatus aber urteilte, dass ihre Forderung geschehe.

Entonces Pilato juzgó que se hiciese lo que ellos pedían;

And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.

Er ließ aber den frei, der eines Aufruhrs und Mordes wegen ins Gefängnis geworfen war, den sie forderten; Jesus aber übergab er ihrem Willen.

Y les soltó á aquél que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó á Jesús á la voluntad de ellos.

And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.

Und als sie ihn wegführten, ergriffen sie einen gewissen Simon von Kyrene, der vom Feld kam, und legten das Kreuz auf ihn, um es Jesus nachzutragen.

Y llevándole, tomaron á un Simón Cireneo, que venía del campo, y le pusieron encima la cruz para que la llevase tras Jesús.

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid the cross on him to carry it after Jesus.

Es folgte ihm aber eine große Menge Volks und Frauen, die wehklagten und ihn bejammerten.

Y le seguía una grande multitud de pueblo, y de mujeres, las cuales le lloraban y lamentaban.

And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.

Jesus wandte sich aber zu ihnen und sprach: Töchter Jerusalems, weint nicht über mich, sondern weint über euch selbst und über eure Kinder;

Mas Jesús, vuelto á ellas, les dice: Hijas de Jerusalem, no me lloréis á mí, mas llorad por vosotras mismas, y por vuestros hijos.

But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

denn siehe, Tage kommen, an denen man sagen wird: Glückselig die Unfruchtbaren und die Leiber, die nicht geboren, und die Brüste, die nicht gesäugt haben!

Porque he aquí vendrán días en que dirán: Bienaventuradas las estériles, y los vientres que no engendraron, y los pechos que no criaron.

For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’

Dann werden sie anheben, zu den Bergen zu sagen: Fallt auf uns!, und zu den Hügeln: Bedeckt uns!

Entonces comenzarán á decir á los montes: Caed sobre nosotros: y á los collados: Cubridnos.

Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Then they will begin to tell the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and tell the hills, ‘Cover us.’

Denn wenn man dies tut an dem grünen Holz, was wird an dem dürren geschehen?

Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará?

For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?”

Es wurden aber auch zwei andere hingeführt, Übeltäter, um mit ihm hingerichtet zu werden.

Y llevaban también con él otros dos, malhechores, á ser muertos.

And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death.

Und als sie an den Ort kamen, der Schädelstätte genannt wird, kreuzigten sie dort ihn und die Übeltäter, den einen zur Rechten, den anderen zur Linken.

Y como vinieron al lugar que se llama de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y á los malhechores, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

When they came to the place that is called “The Skull”, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.

Jesus aber sprach: Vater, vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun! Sie aber verteilten seine Kleider und warfen das Los darüber.

Y Jesús decía: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. Y partiendo sus vestidos, echaron suertes.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

Und das Volk stand und sah zu; es höhnten aber auch die Obersten †mit denselben und sagten: Andere hat er gerettet; er rette sich selbst, wenn dieser der Christus ist, der Auserwählte Gottes!

Y el pueblo estaba mirando; y se burlaban de él los príncipes con ellos, diciendo: A otros hizo salvos: sálvese á sí, si éste es el Mesías, el escogido de Dios.

And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”

Aber auch die Soldaten verspotteten ihn, indem sie herzutraten, ihm Essig brachten

Escarnecían de él también los soldados, llegándose y presentándole vinagre,

And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

Es war aber auch eine Überschrift über ihm †geschrieben in griechischen und lateinischen und hebräischen Buchstaben: Dieser ist der König der Juden.

Y había también sobre él un título escrito con letras griegas, y latinas, y hebraicas: ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Einer aber der gehenkten Übeltäter lästerte ihn und sagte: Bist du nicht der Christus? Rette dich selbst und uns!

Y uno de los malhechores que estaban colgados, le injuriaba, diciendo: Si tú eres el Cristo, sálvate á ti mismo y á nosotros.

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!”

Der andere aber antwortete und strafte ihn und sprach: Auch du fürchtest Gott nicht, da du in demselben Gericht bist?

Y respondiendo el otro, reprendióle, diciendo: ¿Ni aun tú temes á Dios, estando en la misma condenación?

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

Und wir zwar mit Recht, denn wir empfangen, was unsere Taten wert sind; dieser aber hat nichts Ungeziemendes getan.

Y nosotros, á la verdad, justamente padecemos; porque recibimos lo que merecieron nuestros hechos: mas éste ningún mal hizo.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

Und er sprach zu Jesus: Gedenke meiner, Herr, wenn du in deinem Reich kommst!

Y dijo á Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vinieres á tu reino.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, ich sage dir: Heute wirst du mit mir im Paradies sein.

Es war aber um die sechste Stunde; und es kam eine Finsternis über das ganze Land bis zur neunten Stunde.

Y cuando era como la hora de sexta, fueron hechas tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.

And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

Und die Sonne wurde verfinstert, und der Vorhang des Tempels riss mitten entzwei.

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Als aber der Hauptmann sah, was geschah, verherrlichte er Gott und sagte: Tatsächlich, dieser Mensch war gerecht.

Y como el centurión vió lo que había acontecido, dió gloria á Dios, diciendo: Verdaderamente este hombre era justo.

Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

Und alle die Volksmengen, die zu diesem Schauspiel zusammengekommen waren, schlugen sich, als sie sahen, was geschehen war, an die Brust und kehrten zurück.

Y toda la multitud de los que estaban presentes á este espectáculo, viendo lo que había acontecido, se volvían hiriendo sus pechos.

And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

All the multitudes that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their chests.

Aber alle seine Bekannten standen von fern, auch die Frauen, die ihm von Galiläa nachgefolgt waren, und sahen dies.

And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.

– dieser hatte nicht eingewilligt in ihren Rat und in ihre Tat – von Arimathia, einer Stadt der Juden, der †auch selbst das Reich Gottes erwartete;

(El cual no había consentido en el consejo ni en los hechos de ellos), de Arimatea, ciudad de la Judea, el cual también esperaba el reino de Dios;

(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathæa, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

(he had not consented to their counsel and deed), from Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, who was also waiting for God’s Kingdom.

dieser ging hin zu Pilatus und bat um den Leib Jesu.

Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.

This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

Und als er ihn abgenommen hatte, wickelte er ihn in feine Leinwand und legte ihn in eine in Felsen gehauene Gruft, wo noch nie jemand gelegen hatte.

Y quitado, lo envolvió en una sábana, y le puso en un sepulcro abierto en una peña, en el cual ninguno había aún sido puesto.

And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

Und es war Rüsttag, und der Sabbat brach an.

Y era día de la víspera de la Pascua; y estaba para rayar el sábado.

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

Es folgten aber die Frauen nach, die mit ihm aus Galiläa gekommen waren, und besahen die Gruft und wie sein Leib hineingelegt wurde.

Y las mujeres que con él habían venido de Galilea, siguieron también y vieron el sepulcro, y cómo fué puesto su cuerpo.

And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.

The women who had come with him out of Galilee followed after, and saw the tomb and how his body was laid.

Als sie aber zurückgekehrt waren, bereiteten sie Spezereien und Salben; und den Sabbat über ruhten sie nach dem Gebot.
